Hi Andrew , we recently arrived in the Peloponnese with an itinerary based on your wonderful presentations . We completed our 4 days in Nafplio the day after your latest . Hence after a detour to see a play at the ancient theatre last night , we visited your lovely home town today and Mystras . Thank you so much we are exploring the Peloponnese for a month . Stephen & Jane NZ
Thanks Andrew , in 2018 we were based in Finikounda. For 10 days . It was such a thrill to discover your wonderful presentations and revisit our time in Pylos , Methoni, Finikounda, & Koroni surrounds. We are so grateful to learn more from you about the above area and the balance of the Peloponnese. Our timing is dictated by our grandson who is joining us from London in his school holidays , Jane loves the heat , so Jack & I will have to fall into line ! We are loving our time here so far . Thanks again .

I didn't put these areas in the vid to keep it simple but you may want to go down the road from paralio Astros to Monemvasia via Leonidio, great coastal raod and RV's often stop along there, plus look at Methana, near to Poros and Porto Cheli. Very nice and with a lot of video information. Of course tourists are interested in the beaches and archaeological sites, but if one goes up to the mountains of Arcadia, he will forget the sea. There are beautiful lakes and waterfalls, stone villages and green forests, which of course see the sea from above. I recommend Lake Tsivlou and Lake Doxa, just for a change.

Another great video, you really pack a lot here. Thank you for your service 🙏🏼. Currently staying in my mother's village near Ancient Messini. I absolutely love Messinia and the Mani.
If it is beach you are after. There is no better beach than Voidikilia in the Peloponnese. No beach umbrellas, no beach lounges, no cafes, you have to bring everything your self and take it with you when you leave. And that is the way the locals want it to stay. Last couple of ks is shared road, but worth it. Sandy beach, like swimming in a glass of water. It will not disappoint.
I when was young back the Virgin years.. I was planning to come back but life is weird sometimes I miss those places Soo Much... By the way a beautiful very beautiful video you made my friend🎉
If you go back from Patras to Korinth, I would suggest to take a detour to the Mount Kyllini area. There a some things to see, most importantly stunning mountains. As far as I know, it’s the only ski resort in the Peloponnes. Our greek friends called it the Switzerland of the Peloponnes.
A slight correction if I may, Patras, the “S” is silent pronounced Patra, not in Pirgos though, the S is pronounced. Good videos though thanks, love watching them. My wife’s hometown is Amaliada (the platia is awesome at night if you get my drift!), some wonderful beaches and beach bars, Marathia is our favourite just up from Kourouta. We just got home (Australia) from 5 weeks there, drove around most of the Peloponnese except for the leg where Nafplio is located. Definitely go there next time. But in Patra you must take a walk along Riga Fereou, a long pedestrian street with great cafes, shops and restaurants. Of course Agios Andreas (St Andrew’s Cathedral) is a must see, the largest church in Greece. Our friend lives just near the castle. We plan to buy close (ish) to my wife’s hometown, so who knows, we may bump into you for a Freddo Cappucino one day. Keep up the good work.
Thank you, I am terrible with my words, I know. I have done a couple of Videos on Patras, I love going to the Carnival, and the history there is different to most of the Peloponnese, and I am certain you know!! Gppd luck with your efforts to buy!

lovely video, thanks for helping plan my trip! do you think this would be doable (or most of it) by bus or would renting a car be the ideal experience? if so, is driving difficult at all in this area?

Terrific video, Andrew. Is it possible to explore the Peloponnese by bus? We are retired full time slow travelers and we'd like to explore the peninsula with local transportation for a month. (Finding bus information online has been difficult.) Thanks!
