DON'T WASTE AMMO AT THE RANGE. YOU WILL NEED IT ALL.
Good time to learn to reload ammo.
Won’t be any good if your not training
Like riding a bicycle, you never forget @@carsoncude5495
In 2020 I bought 1,000 rounds of 5.56 for $400. Last time I saw a box of 1,000 rounds of 5.56 at the same dealer, it was $600. It may be more now. Be prepared and be safe my friends.
7.62x51 is always safe to shoot in .308 chambers, but .308 isn't always safe in older military-style rifles marked 7.62 NATO. It's the opposite of the .223/5.56 rule because .308 generates higher pressures than 7.62, while 5.56 generates higher pressures than .223.
Good to know. Thanks
Never enough ammo
Your round suggestions are prefect for the regular everyday 2A owners. Some other channels suggest 5k to 10k of 5.56 or or 9mm. That is a crazy amount of numbers. My rule of thumb is I fill up an ammo can with each caliber and that's good enough for me for most situation. If we have an nuclear attack or an invasion from another country... we will have much large problems than shortage of ammo.
Exactly. People can spend $5,000 on ammo but you look in their pantry and they have enough food for a week at best. The goal is to be prepared in all aspects of life.
Couple years ago got to talking to man working at a gun shop. We got to talking about 5.56 ammo. He remarked that he had 50,000 rd. stockpiled. I looked at him and said, Well I know someone who owns a automatic progressive reloading machine. He just looked at me and smiled.
@@StevenSmith-pt8rz I have nothing against those who can pile up a lot. The more the better. Shit I wish I had money and space for 50k rounds. But for us regular folks it's just not feasible. The caliber I most carry is 9mm since I go to the range once or twice a week. I
Random advice.
Have one AR15 set up for 100 yard shooting. And another for close combat home defense.
Stockpile ammo for both.
Have one .22 set up for 100 yard shooting, stockpile that ammo.
Great video! Glad it popped up, good stuff and thanks.
Thanks for the feedback! We have videos coming out every week!
5.56x45 (AR's)/ 7.62x51 (AR10 & M1A) / 7.62x63 (M1) / 9x19 (P model Sigs & S&W M&P's) /.45acp (1911's) / .22lr / .300 blackout / 6.5 Grendel. Guns are tools, different guns & calibers for different applications. However my main "STOCKPILE" calibers are 5.56x45, 7.62x51 and 9x19. ;-)
I'm stocking up on primers. I like the flexibility of loading whatever projectiles I want, depending on what I need. But I don't hoard ammo for SHTF nonsense, I just target shoot for the most part. I got a Dillon XL750 setup for 9mm subsonics and 300blk because that is what I shoot the most of.
Reloading is definitely the way to go! That’s something I want to get into.
I am one of those big guys, but don't get within 500 yards of me. I did three tours, I don't need to run.
I'm a military vet with 36 yrs of LEO experience. So, my question is, what does a heavy weight person who can't run a 1/2 mile have to do with ammo stockpiling?
My point exactly. I too am a vet and a previous LEO@@Blackout3hundred
Great video. You earned a subscriber. Keep it up man
We’ve got a lot of videos on the way! Glad to have you on board!
I have several Taurus’s. TH’s, PT’s & G3’s. X had a recall, they fixed what ever it was, got it back quickly. No complaints, particularly out off my TH’s.
Got several Sig’s, I can’t tell a difference.
Just Teasinggg :)
All great choices. I like having caliber variety because you never know what you'll find.
Very true!
I streamlined my ammo down to my 3, 9mm, 22lr, 12g buckshot.
I like 10mm as a personal protection pistol, when I'm in the woods. 12guage is extremely versatile, and my hunting rifle is a scoped/ sporterized 8mm mauser. .22lr for small game/ varmints.
Love it!
Get it while you can....as much as you can😁🇺🇸
Academy has a sale on 9mm thru .45 cal. Grab as much as you can
Like you I have 1000 5.56 and the same in 9mm that I don't touch. I have no idea how much .22lr I have. I try to keep 200 rounds of my other calibers.
I stocked up and continue to do so. I have a safe dedicated to ammo. 6hr burn time...the building will be ash before then.
I love multi-cal fire arms. A 556 can chamber and fire 223. A 357 can fire 38, 38 +p. I now have PC rifles as well.
In my world, 556, 308, 40, 45, 357, 9mm, 22 LR and WMR. Oh yea, 12ga. 00buck and slugs. Pistol grip, 9 rounds. The nice one is for skeet
9mm is still cheap right now, and I've been focusing on it. Brass has been back under 25 cpr for a bit now, and trending down still. I don't think I'll be stockpiling much, if any more 5.56 at 50+ CPR
Now wait. I own a Taurus G3C and I love it. I forgive you, i gave you a 👍 and subscribed.
We love Taurus too! Thanks for watching
Ammo could be a wiser investment than gold. More versatile. Also wouldn't hurt to have guns that shoot more than one caliber bullet, 5.56/223, 38sp/357Mag as well as the 12ga you mentioned.
Good idea!
I shoot every Sunday. I can tell if I miss one weekend, there is a difference. Training is king
Definitely!
You shoulda Included 12GUAGE or 410GAUGE, and either .270Win or .308Win, everyone who owns guns, especially the old guys you mentioned that all have a 22LR, they also have their trusted 12guage pump action. And all the new age 18-40year olds are getting the cool Semi Auto 12Gs, Shotguns are cheap..
Damnit i had to edit this because i spoke too soon lol but i thought you would stop at 3 hahaha sorry man good suggestions
Great minds think alike 👍🏻
410 is not a gauge it’s just .410 😅
@@BaconSlayer69 never owned one or shot 410, but glad I know the diff now, I did however fire 45LongColt out of Revolving Sulun Shotgun that also takes 410 but we didn't have any 410 shot or shells whatever ya call them lol in august
00 Buckshot.😊👍
Some of those new semi-autos 12ga tactical shotguns can shoot 23/4"or 3" shells long as there under 1600 fps. Versiltily is the word.
First handgun was a Taurus and overtime graduated to Staccato 😅
My Taurus comment was just a joke lol! I’ve been wanting a Staccato….but I have a ton of other stuff I need to get before dropping the cash on one 😂
@@thesoutherndrawBR I actually thought it was hilarious tbh! I wanted a Glock for my first gun but couldn’t afford it. Then climbed my way up the tiers lol. You won’t regret getting one when you can. Saw one come into the gun shop a Staccato P and it sold a few hours later for less than a Springfield prodigy cost! Keep your eyes peeled!
Listen here I love my g3c 🤣
That was just a joke 😂. I’m not here to knock any gun brand over the other. If you can run it then the brand doesn’t matter!
best places to purchase ammo?
It changes every day. Just research before you are ready to buy and check as many sites as you can.
You can never go wrong with SGAmmo in Oklahoma or Bereli in Florida. Free shipping too.
Bows not a good time to buy 5.56 at all should of bought it pre 2019
With that line of thinking, 2019 was not a good time to buy so you should have bought 5.56 in 2009. There will always be a better time to buy ammo. But for right now, these are the best prices. Prices are only going to up as we go into 2024.
With Vista Outdoors recent sell to a Czech, it's going to get worse real quick.
I’m afraid so.
the taurus hate must stop
😆😆 I agree I have a Taurus. -the editor
@@thesoutherndrawBR same 2 lol a 9mm and a 38 never had a single problem with them and had them for a while now
Shotgun ammo?
For sure, it was in our honorable mentions towards the end.
For sure, it was in our honorable mentions towards the end.
No shortage of greed
There is no need to stockpile if you people would stop scaring people into thinking so. That is what causes the "shortages." STOP!
If you didn’t like that video you’re gonna hate this one ua-cam.com/video/Z2tulgIHhrI/v-deo.htmlsi=01Hq3yK9BaHPFXzy
get what you can before the election!
Good content on ammo stockpiling, just keep the fat guy comments out. A lot of these guys are Veterans or LEO's who unfortunately have lots of health issues.
Fair point. I was more trying to focus on the keyboard commandos who live in the comment sections of most videos, but you are correct.
@Blackout3hundred The Veterans and LEOs that are obese rarely have an excuse of health issues. There’s an issue with personal responsibility on obesity and blaming health issues is an epidemic in itself in the US-The fat comments are fine and need to be reflection points for some people. Just because someone is disabled and not able to “maintain a previous life” that isn’t an excuse to let oneself go. And this is coming from a position of care that I have for fellow friends and veterans.
Your research, if you did it, is flawed. While you are entitled to your opinion I couldn't place any credibility in it.
A few years from now we will know if I was on to something or not!
5.56 is a joke of a round
It is one of the funnier bullets.
@@thesoutherndrawBR it’s mediocre at best
@@BaconSlayer69it’s killed everything I’ve shot with it 🤷🏼♂️
@@PJOutside never said it couldn’t kill either , it just lacks stopping power
@@BaconSlayer69 compared to a 50 bmg sure, compared to a 9mm there isn’t even a conversation. Everything I’ve shot would argue that it has plenty of stopping power because they stopped. Your comments suggest you are either over the age of 60 or just lack real world experience. Or maybe you do have experience and can’t hit what you’re aiming at. All viable options
Fear mongering dude stop it
Only problem with the 22lr is that it doesn't hold well for long term storage, especially if you live in a place with high humidity, such as Florida. Stick with the centerfire
Good point. I’ve never had any issues with that, but I’ve also never stored any for longer than a few years.
Store it sealed in moisture controlled environment
Cool and Dry. I've 50+ year old .22LR that still runs that I inherited when my Grandad passed away 6 years back. In the SW, our relative humidity is under 17% on average.
22LR is 136 years old wich is crazy old
Legends never die.
.308WIN is 71 years old
I have some 8MM by 51R Lebel Rifle ammo. It is 137 years old.
