- This is an easy install guide for the Stedi ST3K Led light bar slim. It uses a piggy back adaptor for the Ford Ranger. Installation includes Stedi Switch Panel, Square Switches and Rhino Rack brackets. The light bar is great for off-road and 4wding.

My wires are different I have black for ground blue to blue white to white green to earth and red to active lighting but light bar turn on? I swapped the white to blue and blue to white light bar doesn’t work active lighting is correct bar light back active still doesn’t work what cold be the issue relay?
I also swapped earths around and still doesn’t turn on could it be green to blue and blue to white? And still no good
Do you have the same brand of light bar? Try testing the wires if they are all active?

Thanks for sharing! I have a similar vehicle, with roof bars like yours and have been wondering for ages how I could put a light bar up there one day; I didn’t realise they just make brackets for that purpose. How does the wind noise affect you? I’ve got a solar panel up there so I’ve stuffed a pool noodle under the first roof bar to stop the howling.
It doesn’t bother me much… maybe I should try the noodle tho if I go on long highway drives. Good idea 👍

@@Anglesandacid haha yeah it would but at least the noise is gone. Hard to find a black one..I only have a red one that my kid uses.
@@4X4JUMPMAN I'm too lazy to undo it, but I've thought about using some black duct tape to wrap the noodle. As for how I attached it, I've threaded some rope all the way through the hollow core (with the help of a knot on the end, and a stick to poke it through), then used to two ends to tie it to the roof bar. This worked fine for many months but lately it got sucked underneath and behind the roof bar slightly and started vibrating, so I re-tied it, and used duct tape so it stayed in place. Working fine so far.
@@Anglesandacid yeah as long as it works it’s all good. Rhino Rack has the wind deflectors but the design doesn’t look that great either.

hey mate how did you get the green light to come on when you turn the switch on and then turn off the green light when its off ?
You need to connect the other wire to an accessory ignition wire

Would 50 inch stedi lightbar at fit on it
It can fit but it will just be a bit wider and near the edge of the roof rack.

@@sonnyekin7255 You will need a different bracket as the 50 inch light bar is longer than the vortex roof rack bar.

Careful with the rangers you should always body earth
The black wire better to go on body earth?
Hi buddy, yes put the negative wire on the body not the battery. It will give the cars power management system wrong data and you will get false readings with the vehicles power supply. Cheers
