I have been doing this video for four years and for the first time ever I was able to extend my legs fully on the happy baby. I'm feeling so accomplished right now and I just had to share. If you're feeling like you're totally not flexible at all, stick with it! You will see the results eventually!!

This video changed my life! I memorized the routine and do it every night before I sleep and now I'm never stiff or sore in the morning (except after a super intense workout then I'm still a bit sore)

Hello cassey, first off I want to say your workouts are amazing and being in the military we have to stay in good shape. Your workouts are great to do when I have down time and they have helped me out with cutting and my flexibility. My wife is the one who introduced me to your channel and your leg days are killer. Thank you so very much for everything you do and happy Veterans Day everyone to those past, present, and to the ones who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you for you hard work and dedication. Ooh ya!!!!!

One thing to know. I know this video was made a long time ago but whatever💁🏼‍♀️😂. I have been doing ballet for 7 years and we do these stretches, but when you do the straddle make sure your knees are facing backwards(or just try to not make them facing up or forward). When you flex and pointe your feet try to roll through the balls of your feet and that will strengthen your feet and hopefully get you better a pointe. If you read all this 👏🏼 but ya love your videos

    • @antratoporkova9522

    • @katrinadavis3907

Antra Toporkova when you do an open (middle) split and reach forward you want to try and keep your legs turned out so yes I think keep them as far back without hurting yourself, and make sure to take time 😇😇

    • @kyrawilliamson319
      @kyrawilliamson319 4 роки тому +5

Antra Toporkova also you want to turn out your feet and make your pinky toes closer to the ground.

i just start stretching regular last month, and it makes me happy! i´m so stressed out lately, i´m just too tired to work out when i´m back home after school. i always stretch watching my favorits tv shows and in the end it´s a 80min stretching routine! but it feels so good! it makes me calm down a bit.

There was a time where all I had was my single bed to stretch on, which when you're 170cm that is 1 metre of legs alone, sounds impossible, but i like to say if I can fit my looooooong self on a single bed and stretch, then anyone (my height or under) can! Just do it length ways rather than width ways. :)

Loveaboss Aj I have only been dancing for about 4 years, and I started when I was 12. I don't dance competitively, but it's something that I love! I wasn't flexible at all when I started, but it's never to late to start if you're interested! I have heard of dancers starting late who are still able to work hard and become very successful, or you can just pick it up as a fun hobby like me. :)

Elina Arvidsson so stretching shouldn't be painful - that means you're hurting yourself. it should feel like stretching, which is to say relieving. that doesn't mean you can't get flexible tho! you just need to make sure you don't try to do too much at once

Guys, I just did this and I was HATING it while doing it but 5 min later, my legs feel AWESOME.
    Update:
    Day#1:
Found out I am not as flexible as I thought I was
    Day#2:
    Better extension at happy baby
    Day#3:
    A little better
    Day#4:
Could actually grab my toes(instead of balls of my feet) and feel the "calf stretch mania"😂
    Day #5:
Found a technique called "nerve glide" on channel 'Livinleggins', video title "Ignoring this will WRECK your flexibility". Tried it. It worked but not to the extent shown in her video.
-At hamstring stretch I could grab my ankles
    - At hip flexor stretch I could push down my knee so that it touched the foot below it
-Could bring my leg closer to the body instead of just straight
    Day#6:
-At hip flexor stretch, I could bend forward a little bit
-Could bring my leg even closer than day 5
I hope everyone takes inspiration from this to keep trying. You will get better with consistency...

hey Cassey! I just wanted to say thanks, U motivated me to start my fitness journey. I went from being able to run 1 mile and struggling intensely , I ended my 1 mile run with a light head and Struggling to catch my breath, now I'm able to run 2.5 miles without a dizzy head and without a tremendous loss of breath ( I started about 2 months ago. and I run about 3-4 time a week ) thanks for the motivation Cassey! ur amazing 😘

I totally agree! That was always the bummer for me, it never got me in a bedtime mood. But a great one for that ambiance is the Total Body Stretch (At Home Exercise Routine)! Only downside there is that it might be hard to do on a bed! I would definitely give it a try though, one of my faves :)

Am I the only one who just couldn't do most of these? My muscles are so tight that just spreading my legs to the side is hard and just sitting tall with my legs extended feels hard. My shoulders are pretty flexible but my legs are horrible. I don't want to hurt my back because some of these stretches hit my lower back.

This and the Total Body Stretch are my absolute favorite videos!! I started doing them because of stress from school, plus having a really sore back from all that sit and study time. Not only does it make me relax and recenter, my flexibility keeps getting better and better and it's so exciting. Before when I would straddle my legs made a tight V and I seriously couldn't get reach very far in front. Now it's getting wider and I can reach further and further!! Also, up until today (yes!! today!!) I couldn't grab my toes when stretching and I just managed and I feel SO accomplished.
Thank you so much Cassey. Love your videos. You make life so much brighter

Beeeelieve it! I did this hardcore for about 3 weeks, then I took a week off (holiday craze), came back and now my body is stretching deeper and further. I said “Wow!“ at least 3xs times tonight as I originally couldn't do the Indian sitting, forward leg stretch, or wheelbarrow thing at the end. Couldn't believe the transformation!!! Wow. Stick with this, be patient, and the stretches will eventually loosen you up! Woohoo!
