    I've done this video more times than I could possibly count. It's the best stretching video I've ever found and I always come back to it.

    I remember doing this stretch every morning 1,5 years ago when I was really depressed, stressed out and I just couldn't find any happiness in my days. I started everyday with crying but it also felt so relaxing, I could just get rid a huge amount of tension and stress with this stretching video. It really helped me get through those though times. And now I have some things to get through by myself again and this stretching routine still saves my days and my mental health. Cassey, Thank you so much!!

    Idk why but when Cassey says "don't hold back, let go" I get somehow... emotional? I just feel like in life we should perhaps "let go" more, let things be as they are and not try to force things but also accept changes. This video really helps me to let go of stress and worries.

      Same! I've heard that a lot of emotional trauma gets stored in your hips - if you think about it, the mind-body relationship in that moment is one of release, so a release of emotions is very normal. And our hip flexers are so important! They carry so much tension every day without us even realizing it!

    Seven years ago I did this video every day. I had just graduated high school and had so much anxiety about my future. I was suicidal as well and just generally felt like something was very wrong with me. This video always made me feel okay for a few minutes. I’ve come back to it on and off over the years, and now I’m 25 and doing well. Stretching to this video gives me a sense of gratitude and a chance to reflect on my personal growth.

    Was having a really bad day , I started out from a place of anger and I ended my routine with this and I DO feel a LOT more calmer than I was. 5 years later this video and like a lot of your older videos still has that touch of nostalgic feeling of magic and familiar comfort. Also I'm on my postpartum journey its a one of lot of ups and downs (part of why I'm angry and all :) ) but your videos is something I run to to feel better. THANK YOU

    Hi, so I know this is probably weird. But I did this for the first time, and I felt my body relax like it never has before and I legit started tearing up. I’m learning how to love on my body, and not use it as a punching bag for my stress and anxiety. Thank you so much for this video and what you are doing.     I just wanted to say thank you, because time and time again I find myself watching girls telling me that this will work, I’ll get my splits, and be healthy. Even though they are using harmful pills and bad diets. This is my second day doing this, and I can already feel and see the difference! You seem like a genuine person and this video helps me de-stress.     this was so relaxing when it was over I was like "What it's over?" The two sides of this channel though, one, the ultimate workout that makes you want to finish quickly then there's this relaxing stretching that goes by quickly. Thank you by the way

    I'm doing this after my pilates workout. It brings me peace. I've done it a few times now and I'm noticing that my hips get more flexible and that my legs can reach back further each time that I do this. So it's a really good stretch! Love it!

    Cassey, I just wanted to say I've been doing these stretches for months and I love this entire routine! I would absolutely love an updated video that stretches similar muscles, as I'm working on flexibility in my lower body.

    I have to say!!! I've been doing this video about 5 days a week for maybe three weeks, and it has chaaaaanged my life. I've always struggled a lot with flexibility, and stretching has always been stressful for me bc I would never see the results I wanted. Doing this video finally took my mind off of judging where I'm at and I was able to just enjoy how it felt to stretch and breathe. It brings me joy in the morning, or as a mid day pick me up, or as the last thing I do before bed. When I did it yesterday, I was super tight, but when I did it just now, I was blown away by my progress. I've never been this flexible and I've danced my entire life. This video is IT, y'all!! Thank you Cassey so much for your incredibly positive and encouraging spirit. All of your videos are wonderful and I'm so grateful for this free content.

    4:30 Not sure if I'm doing this move right? There honestly isn't much space i between my knee and foot at all.

      Same here, it feels like sitting pretzel-legged. I have fairly flexible hip flexors, but still. I usually do butterfly instead if there's ever a stretch for hip flexors that I just don't feel.

      No, I am the same way. The reason in my case isn't youth, like Tracy Allen suggested (I am 42,) but the fact that the outer parts of my large hip bones are missing (it's a birth defect.) Not sure if you ever had the hip area X-rayed - I had always thought I was simply really flexible and therefore, cool, until I found out the reason, which actually causes issues later in life. :/

    Day 1 (Sat. Apr. 11)
    Time completed: 23:55
    Notes: I haven’t exercised or stretched for a long while. Only from 6:40 to the end was okay, but still a bit uncomfortable.
    Day 2 (Sun. Apr. 12)
    Time completed: 00:11 (actually midnight on Apr. 13 but let’s pretend it was the on the 12th)
    Notes: Almost the same as Day 1 but I could stretch a bit further, and do the hip flexor sitting thing for both sides instead of just the right.
    Day 3 (Mon. Apr. 13)
    Time completed: 17:52

    Making eye contact with my dog as I stretched made things a heck of a lot nicer!
    Done- stretches really felt good! When I do down dog I think of how my dogs do this overtime they wake up in the morning to get my form down good!

    I used to have a really bad sleep routine and lifestyle . I would sleep through the day and wake up in the night. I would get nothing done and I would hardly be active. Now I go to bed around midnight and wake up at around 6am. I keep a bullet journal to help me be a bit more productive and I have achieved my back bend, and I am now able to grab my feet with straight legs. I read more. Study more. And videos like these really help me out. They make me feel calm and relaxed when the stress of a productive life catches up with me. This channel helps a lot. It inspires me to do better, and achieve more. So thanks!

    This is definitely my favorite stretch routine! I love the music and it puts a nice cap on my workout. I've just recently found Cassie and she's quickly become a staple in my daily routine ♡

    Yes! Those hip stretches are just what I needed. I ride and train horses and flexibility is a huge part of that. loved this!

    Love that in the second week of the beginners calendar there is a stretching video after two more intense cardio videos! Makes me cool down properly and gets me more flexible for future workouts! LOVE YOU CASSEY!! You're wedding looked like a dream!

      me too! i hope i can get a yoga mat for 2017 Christmas. At home there is a carpet so its okay but at school its a hard floor it kills. i usually have to put a towel or blanket down. I need a proper one. Ive been doing pilates so long!

    This video is so amazing. I have used it many times for relaxation. But today I had very bad muscle soreness and I couldn't sleep because of it. At 6:30am I finally got out of bed and did this routine and boy will I sleep like a baby now! I just regret not doing this earlier and saving my sleep schedule lol

    I was into yoga a few years and i loved it, but i am a converted Christian and for me, i can not do yoga anymore. It does not feel right. I feel pilates works for me! Thank you, you have a new fan!

    First off LOVE this video. I do it over and over.
    SECOND I HAVE A TIP I LEARNED.
    You know that stretch where you bring ankle over knee. You can do that when you are just chilling with friends and they think you are just sitting Indian style. You can do it just about anywhere and not draw attention to yourself. I do it a lot. Also you can work on your toe point anywhere. JUST bend and flex.

    Again this video was over more quicker than I thought. Woke up with some light pain from my back muscles and I knew how a day looks like following a morning with this pain.
