The midnight society is a group of teenagers, who would gather at a secret location in the woods to share ghost stories. They would begin their stories by saying “Submitted for the approval of midnight society, I call this story the tale of”. They would proceed to throw midnight dust into the campfire after announcing the title. The story would then begin to play on the screen as the members narrated the story. The stories would revolve around urban legends and supernatural phenomena. The protagonists of the stories would often find themselves fighting ghosts, werewolves, and other mythical creatures. Most of the stories have a happy ending for the main character giving the audience a positive ending that they can be satisfied with. The stories told by the first generation of the Midnight Society often reflected the characteristics of the storyteller themselves. The stories in the second generation were inspired by the incidents happening around the characters.
