I purchased my CX 90 last weekend...same color as what you are reviewing. I got the Preferred package. I love this vehicle...it's the smoothest ride I have ever had. My sales person didn't say anything about the Istop, so this week that kinda spooked me a time or two, but I am getting used to that by putting in on hold
Great review! Much better than those big name reviewers. Up to the point and same time educating us about double wishbone etc. I hate when reviewers say “it’s 3 row crossover! Who care about handling and acceleration” and segment those users.
Ever since Mazda parted ways with ford, they just keep getting better and better. In my opinion Mazda as a brand is up there with the likes of Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. Truly a premium SUV with a luxury feel.

We just bought this exact vehicle, only in the Platinum Quartz Metallic. Love everything about it, with the exception of it not having any little storage spaces up front, for phone, spare change, etc...
Me too, bought same beautiful colour with the black out rims... saw it on the road in Japan - have always been a black car gal 🤣
Great video, much better and real than many biased and hateful so called reviewers I have seen if almost they did not know what criticize so they picked on non issues and blew them out of proportion.
This trim makes most sense I just wish instead of sunroof it gave me Bose audio .
I think as it is first year it maybe a lease car that can be later bought out or traded and there seems to be plenty of this trim on dealers lots already so if they could keep the lease payment at 470usd with 3000down it maybe a fair deal.
One issue that bothers me is that this is the only Mazda turbo car that can not take advantage of higher octane fuels power increase and much better quality additive package .
If it did like all other Mazda turbos and I could run it on Shell 93 to make it 300hp and 340lbs/tq plus have great additive package of V power to keep engine and injectors clean and happy I would buy this car now .
If Mazda does it for political reasons so it does not allow it to benefit from more power so it does not undercut TurboS sales than I hate that decision and do not respect it after all this it not cheap at 47K !

Great review, I like the 8 seat version because of the ease to extend the cargo space. Good trim level, but it's not obvious to find what's included in each. Your review style is excellent and helpful.
I think the preferred plus is the sweet spot for this vehicle. Moving to higher trims get you features I don't need, specifically a huge moonroof and 21 inch tires. I'm told you can add a navigation card (purchased online) for $50. I don't know if you can get a 2nd row bench but that would also be my preference.

I'm not too concerned with the new transmission due to Mazda's quality ratings being so high. I trust that they did it right. On the off chance that they missed the mark, I believe they would own it.

Id love to see the actual base model. If i could get this powertrain at around 42k that would be an awesome value. I dont need the powerseat or sunroof. Do you need to purchase tow mode in addition to preffered plus package?
Preferred Plus doesn’t show as having the tow package on Mazda’s webpage and the MI Drive didn’t have it on this one. So I’m not sure why the sticker showed it.
It appears it can be an options but "Towing mode can be selected only when electrically connected to the trailer using a Mazda genuine trailer hitch".
I just bought a preferred at $42K has sunroof and mi drive and 5k towing cap.

Yes it does
I was a Mazda fan. Had a 2017 six and now a 22 CX9. Disappointed they put that garbage stop/start on this & the CX50 turbo. I’ll keep my proven drivetrain CX9 for a long time. This all new engine/ trans will have problems like all 1st year redesign vehicles.

They are getting these things priced to the point where regular people can't afford them unless they lease or take out a 72 month loan. Beautiful vehicle though. Mazda is definitely stepping up their game. I'm waiting patiently for the CX-70.
