You can turn off auto high beams. There is a button on the end of the control bar.
This is a really good review. I just bought almost this exact car and those quirks are very real. I don't disagree with pretty much any of your feedback. I'll just add a few things...
You'll notice a 'whoop' sound when shifting gears. Imagine a Star Wars sound effect like a speeder passing by on the screen. It sounds like that. Most owners notice it when landing on 6th gear but I've noticed it at lower gears too. I believe it may be the hybrid motor providing a boost to smooth the shift.
The ride is very firm on 21" wheels. I'm hoping the suspension softens a bit within the first few thousand miles. If not I'll have to explore a more comfortable tire or maybe even switch to 19" wheels. It's just a bit too much.
Note the only trim with a touch screen is the Premium Plus. The smaller screens are not touch.
Also note that the rear lift gate tail lights do not illuminate on non-S models. I'm not sure why Mazda did this but it's the kind of thing that a potential buyer would never even realize until they buy the car and notice it months later. I figured I'd mention it here.
    Thanks for the review.

I recently got myself a CX-90 PHEV Premium Plus to take advantage of the $7,500 lease credit, and I've been loving it so far, but I do have a couple small complaints. You're 100% right that the seats are not particularly tall person friendly -- there really isn't enough thigh support. But I think that might be a Mazda thing, my previous '21 Mazda 3 Turbo and '17 Mazda6 were the same way.

Did you have to put a lot of money down? I’m looking into getting one this week.

No, seats are not tall person friendly. I am 5 ft 3 in and even I wish I had more width in the footwell. However, I still love my vehicle.

I test drove the turbo under the assumption it was the turbo s. It drove. nice, but was very average. Handling was good though. Finally had a chance to try the turbo s premium plus. Night and day. Turbo S is right on target. Nice SUV.

I double dog dare Mazda to put this engine and transmission in a CX-30 size crossover lol but before that I just want Mazda to release a CX-30 hybrid and CX-50 hybrid already

You can’t mix and match FWD and RWD architecture for packaging reasons

I have the white on white PHEV version. It's beautiful, handles great and hits 60 mph in 5.8 seconds. The ride is solid and firm but I prefer that vs a floating boat feel.

Jubbal - have you adjusted steering wheel angle and depth. That may fix your ergo issues

@@jubbalandcars I am 6’1” and had concerns about the seat, yet it turns out its former bolstering can become an asset on longer road trips that reduced my fatigue. Extending tight cushions could be nice, but it is once extra thing that can break down or compromise quick egress and ingress to the driver seat.

@10:15 That's crazy encouraging over-the-speed limit driving on curvy roads, and that's the reason he frosty his HUD on the windshield.

In my CX-50 I got my Android phone to wireless charge just fine by disabling NFC, which is fine for me since the apps I use to pay for things with my phone will enable it when I need them and then it will disable again. Not sure if Apple has that option to enable/disable by default or not.
