    Great review! I am looking for something to replace my JBL Charge after the battery failed after only 2 years of moderate use. I am a fan of the Klipsch sound signature, so I'm going to pick one of these up!

    I am torn. Two of Nashvilles paired up as a stereo OR One of The Detroit?

    • @AudioInsideScoop
      @AudioInsideScoop  24 дні тому +1

      There are perks to both. I would tend to lean more towards the two Nashvilles as, it's a portable speaker so, portability is a huge factor. Nashville can toss in a bag where...Detroit has to be carried like a bag. Will mostly come down to personal preferences and use case though. What works best for you. Drop a comment when you decide and let me know either wah.:)

    Did you try the extreme both plug and unplug? also does the detroit get louder on power?

    • @AudioInsideScoop
      @AudioInsideScoop  3 місяці тому

      I did not actually try the Xtreme plugged in. Been looking at these as primarily mobile compares/something you would take on the go with you. From what I could tell, the Detroit seems to have the same output both plugged and unplugged.

    I'd like to see the Detroit go against the Klipsch Groove XXL. I am curious why the Detroit goes for a bill more. Spec wise, the Groove XXL seems to be the better speaker.

      Thanks for watching! A lot of places seem to be out of stock but it looks like (at least at the time of me writing this comment) you can order it direct from the Klipsch website. Let me know if this works for you!

    Does the DETROIT get a boost in power when plugged in, like the EXTREME 3 does? If the answer is no, then that's definitely an advantage for the EXTREME 3.

      Just tried this and mine does get louder, very strange, maybe my battery is getting a bit weak as it's over 3.5 years old now. Still great for partys though.

    • @jedolivier2688

      @@Audi1Pete It’s supposed to. According to Tech Specs in the owner’s manual, states as follows: 25 + 25 tweeters, 25 + 25 woofers A/C MODE ( when plugged in ) Which leads me to believe that it’s getting anywhere from 12 1/2 - 15 watts per driver & tweeter in battery or portable mode ( 50 - 60 watts ).
      This is why a lot of people don’t think it’s 100 watts when it’s plugged in. It doesn’t sound like it’s that much louder because of the way that they set up the power configuration. This is one of the best features when talking about the EXTREME 3.
      It comes with its own power supply that actually lets you listen to the speaker once it’s fully charged. It also gives you a power boost. Once it’s fully charged the light eventually goes off, & then you’re in A/C MODE.

      To my knowledge and from what I could tell listening, the Detroit doesnt seem to make a difference plugged vs not. That said, I don't know that I would call it an advantage for JBL having this "ability". While it's cool it can perform better than what we were seeing when plugged in, it's somewhat limiting for a portable speaker that it's only at its best at home. If it's a battery thing, I'd much prefer a speaker that could perform at 100% all of the time, then maybe throw a battery saver switch to get more life if desired. That's Me though. Others may feel different. Maybe with new tech/battery capabilities we will see something like this in the next gen.

    Is it on purpose you don't actually put sound tests in the video. Never came across a channel which does a reviews but doesn't let a viewerr hear the sound. Saw this brand perhaps one or two time,. Was curious for the audio profile

    • @AudioInsideScoop
      @AudioInsideScoop  3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes and no. It's intentional that I don't include listenings in *these* videos. But on each review I create, I make a separate video for the listenings in a series called "Hear With Me." I do my listenings a bit different than most you see online so, it takes a bit of extra time to throw together.
      I've made these side by side listenings for the clip/Austin and the Flip/Nashville. Check those out to give you an idea on format. I'll be doing the same with Detroit VS Charge and Detroit vs Xtreme. Coming very soon!

      @@AudioInsideScoop yeah I was thinking like l, am I missing something. Sometimes the videos sound like you have an extra video, but I don't see s link. I'm curious about this Klipsch brand. Hardly see any video about it, is it that nee or unknown?

    • @AudioInsideScoop
      @AudioInsideScoop  3 місяці тому +1

      Yeah, these side by side listenings will be coming soon. If you'd like to see a list of all current videos, click on my channel and it'll take you to everything I have available at this moment. The channel is fairly new but growing every day!
      Klipsch is not new at all. They've been around since 1946 but primarily focused on loudspeakers, home theater, and pro audio gear. Portables have always been a smaller push for them but, with this series- the Music city series just recently launched - it seems like they are taking their portables to the next level.
