I just got 2 of the Detroits and my favorite thing is by far separating them 30 feet apart on the Pickleball court. The soundstage is incredible for how small these guys are. I have a lot of high end gear, but for $600 bucks, you can’t get a better waterproof soundstage. Try it out guys, it is great! For a backpack set of speakers, I love them. Cheers

Charge line came a long way since my purchase of charge 2+ which I gave away to friend but still have the original JBL extreme purchased in 2016 and Aiwa Exos 9 bought in 2017
Yes it has! The whole line has. The flip is so much different/better than early gens too.

I'd give the Detroit an edge on lifestyle due to the vulnerable radiators on the ends of the Charge. It was always a concern of mine when I had a Charge 5.
Thanks for watching and for the comment. I would have agreed when these style radiators first released. I had some concerns there but, I honeslty beat up my flip 4 quite a bit and never had an issue. Really thought that was going to be the first thing to go but it held up to all kinds of torture. Short of directly stabbing the rubber on it or something, it's super resilient.
Try to do a review of BRANE X portable bluetooth speaker. Its available for purchase only in US as of now.
That would be cool. I wonder how the Brane X would compare to the Devialet Mania. I know the Devialet Mania is like 200 dollars more

I'm a Klipsch fan, but bought the Charge 5 for its on sale price of $130 on Amazon and the size as well. Was going to get a flip 6 but for the extra $20 I bought the Charge 5 which was better for my use since it has the buttons on top for use inn our bathroom. I initially bought an Anker Soundcore 2, but it was too tinny with no bass for my liking. I hated to spend the amount of money I did, but what's the use of listening to something you don't enjoy. My biggest struggle was picking a color. It was between the gray you have and the red. For fun, I went red. Will be here anytime now (today). I guess we'll see what I get for the money soon. Only the second Bluetooth speaker I have ever owned. I won the first one in a raffle and guess it was about $20 new. Hated it.

@@AudioInsideScoop Got it in about 5 minutes after I left the comment above. I really like it and the equalizer feature is great! I’ve been listening to Bluegrass and am wowed how good it sounds. My wife heard it and she had to have one. Got that in gray out for delivery today!
Glad you're enjoying it! When the second one comes in, try out the jbl partyboost. With two, you can connect em as a stereo pair or to boost overall sound. It's awesome!

@@AudioInsideScoop Thought I'd tell you we just bought "the nines" about two weeks ago. We already have the fives, but I wanted soothing that didnt need a sub for the garage, so that's where the fives are going. I had/have a R12SW sub hooked to the fives while in the living room. With the nines going as low as they do, I dont even need a sub! Also have the klipsch computer system. That was my first Klipsch purchase. They rock hard!

Can't understand why I can't buy one directly from klipsch.
My guess is that - right now there are backorders being filled that take priority. Once more are made/in stock, you'll be able to buy direct from them. There's a notify me button on their website so you can get a notification as soon as its available.

Yeah, that could be it. Could be a while before it becomes more readily available outside of the states.
If your trying to grow your channel.. show us through the outside test instead of showing images with no sound. Also display the speakers more instead of camera centered on you mostly. Other wise great video.

Way too much of a price gap to make this comparison. THat Detroit is $300. CHarge 5 is $139 right now at Walmart. Seems like the Charge 5 vs the Nashville would be a better comparison.
Thanks for watching! JBL doesn't have a close match price wise so, you are correct - there is a pretty decent gap here. I'll be covering the other side of the gap on the next episode though. Detroit VS Xtreme where we have JBL on the higher end price-wise. Excited to see how that one plays out!
