You almost lost me dude with your take on the box! Who the hell cares what it comes in? If it saves in costs to keep the cost down, better to me!
Agreed.
Some people are too hung up on the visual no wonder for him regular dashcams are an eyesore
Right I’m gonna mount the cam not the packaging
Rexxing upgraded the box.
Thanks for the review! I bought M2 today from Best Buy after watching your review video here. My use case is to enhance the rear mirror vision in the night. Unfortunately, the rear view in the night is horrible. Any light beam behind me looks like a huge white sun in the dashcam, makes the night rear vision completely useless. I have to return the item tomorrow.
Thank you all I needed to know
Ah I need to rethink.
Amazing video did you mount the backup camera inside or outside? And if so how
I might get this for Christmas for my car, so excited! 😊
Thanks to your review I purchased the M2. Really appreciate how thorough you were with this. There are tons on the market and you helped me narrow my choices down.
During night the rear image is brighter only on the mirror display. When you will look at the recordings you will see that the recorded video it is much darker.
Super helpful, thanks. What I need most is forward view excellence, making oncoming headlights softer, smart line sensing would be best. and the overdone blocks around cars are…ok. Any ideas/?
Let’s get to what really matters and quit wasting peoples time. Ty!
Keep up the awesome videos 🙂
Ironically installing is same truck for dash cam and also for 5th wheel hook up .
Can you tell me where you mounted the rear camera and how you hooked it up? Thanks!
What’s your final opinion on the brightness at night. Thru the mirror bad but better thru recording?
Good review - thank you
thanks for showing the adas feature ( the best part) for all of 5 seconds.....
Can you tell me if this is app controlled? Also, it didn’t come with a hardwire kit in the box?
How did you get the safety features to work sir?
Pls do a follow up video on the smart features for BSM etc... Would like to get more information on those features and how they work etc... as you barely touched on those and there is no other mirror with these features currently that I can find.
for real.. the 2 best features about this model he didnt even show.. well 1 he did for 5 seconds ...
Great video. A feedback : that static noise during video transition is disturbing.
Agreed
Yeah facts lol feels like I’m watching “Ridiculousness” on MTV lol
Good job 👏 👍 thank you 🙂
Perfect video , getting one
How did you get your time to stay what you set it to? Mine keeps resetting to east coast time.
great video. How would you rate the blind spot monitoring?
I just had one installed its great
Is the dash cam wiring of 13 feet long enough to install on a 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5, V8, double cab, and 6 ft bed?
I purchased the rexing m2 but how do I really get to know the GPS tracker is working?
Would love to see how you had the rear camera mounted.
Is there a safety feature with it?
I was hoping you will say something about the various adjustments in the mirror. But you did not.
Sometimes it be like that
I see a reflection on the mirror and you see the camera view it like you see two images at once in the rear view mirror
Just got mine but touch screen is not working why ? Even took to professional but nothing
I can't get m ine calibrated right. I just got it and so far it's ok. Can you help me out
Does this camera has a motion sensor that it will automatically record even when its not running and sense a movement around?
If you have a constant power source, it can record while you’re parked if it detects a vibration.
Did you test the blind spot detection? If so, how did that go? Can you post a video showing the blind spot detection and also maybe a bit more samples for the forward collision warning. It would be interesting to know how reliable both of those features were.
This is the primary feature that I want confirmed by someone -- how accurate is the Blindspot detection (specifically for changing lanes)
It’s not good enough to be considered reliable beyond all doubt but definitely useful
The mirror needs calibration for ADAS, I think it is an entry in the menu. I suspect that the guy has not calibrated a third party ADAS system before, or didn't care, for this short review.
I'm interested in the ADAS and BSD features as well. I currently have a 70mai Pro dash cam with ADAS and this feature has grown on me, but I need a night view rear mirror.
I saw a rear view mirror with ADAS and BSD on AliExpress, but the seller doesn't have info on it - does it have one of the Sony StarVis night sensors, is there some night footage, ADAS/BSD warning footage -, seems new.
@@Funwithaball I think of it as an extra eye, I wouldn't trust it blindly. Always look with your own eyes, but if you're tired and didn't notice a car which is there in the blind spot, maybe this will alert you to it. It's enough if it does this once and it has already paid back its cost.
@@jonathancurtis7157 I purchased the M2 (in part based on this awesome review). I would say the blindspot detection is ok at best. I would NOT purchase solely based on that feature. Aside from that, it seems to be a great cam.
if you don’t have the rear cam or gps set up, does it not track speed? i can’t seem to figure out why mine never shows my mph when i playback videos. just stays at 0mph.
It uses GPS to track speed.
Actually if you’re in California you CAN have things on your windshield as long as it’s not obstructing your view. Why do you think the transponder for the fastrak isn’t an issue.
You can have attachments on your windshield in California
What do I do when my camera is glitching?
So much information left out.
How do you install it? Can you post installation process as wee?
Just hire someone to install it
Does it have a park mode?
Can you do a video on how to install this?
not a lot to it bro.. it holds onto the mirror with rubber bands.. run the camera wire through the headliner to the back.. run the power to the cigarette lighter.. done
Does the blind spot work
How u get both up at the same time
Did you connect the back up cam to the rear view light? I don't wanna do that part
I did not
Very good but does it support gps function? To use it directly as a gps instead of using my phone
The gps antenna is only for geographical location tagging as well as automatic date/time information..no navigation functionality
Nope, it's only for knowing where the video was taken, when you watch it on your computer after you arrived, as Chuck said. Not for navigating to an address.
What you need, is an "Android rear view mirror".
How do I get the rear camera to be ride side up. When I go to the Back Up CAMERA, THE OBJECTS BEHIND ME OR UPSIDE DOWN
Usually a menu setting to flip
can’t for the life of me figure out why the sd card won’t read!!! i’ve bought 2 new sd cards thinking the actual card is the problem. yet i still have the sd card from my old dash cam and it still read when i stick it in my apple lightning port sd card reader and plug it in my phone or ipad. i’ve even sacrificed footage to reformat the sd cards thinking that was the issue. yet everytime i take the sd card out of the dashcam and plug it in my phone, nothing ever shows up in files! it’s like the sd card is corrupted by the dashcam! didn’t have this issue the first few months after purchasing the cam.
I had my dashcam for about a year now and I added a 512 GB micro SD car. Since I did this it freezes on me all the time any recommendations or just get a smaller capacity SD
256gb is recommended
Can I place the rear facing camera in cab to record Lyft and Uber passengers?
I don’t see why not
Can you record front and back at same time?
yes
Stayed for all of 8 seconds due to the insane static/electric/thing in the beginning. Noped out
Good review. Don’t care about how the package looks, just as long the product is top quality. I can say that the product is premium quality as I purchased it not too long ago. Very happy with it but wished it came with the SD card.
This didn't start out too well with all the excitement over technology that's been around for quite a while, yet this video is less than a year.
He seems to get excited over every little thing. It's like watching someone rave about laptops being "portable computing devices".
It's discouraging because anything and everything seems to excite him, therefor the quality rating goes out the window. That's why I'm here, I was hoping to compare his take on this mirror cam with others butttttt I guess not now.
Cool beans broski
@@RodrickViews constructive criticism is always beneficial to those who are mature/big enough to handle it
Can you hook your phone up so you can get the videos?
A mirror is usually better than a camera because of latency
I just purchased one and the box is NOT a brown cardboard box.
I knew that was the Valley
Why mines don’t stays on
I thought this thing had a blind spot sensor??
The sound was muffled. Picture wasn’t that clear for $200. And some foreign lady came out of no where thinking you were going to crash. 😄 that was funny.
What memory card did you use ?
I like to use Samsung PRO Endurance microSD cards: amzn.to/3FVSHTC
How long does one charge last for?
It’s plugged in the 12V or hardwired.
Does this record while your car is off and parked?
If you have continuous power.
@@RodrickViews thank you! Im looking into the Rexing V1P. Hard wire kit is separate.
Continuous power to fuse. Neater.
@@RadicalforGod Any of them CAN be direct wired...remember though your battery will drain and depending on card size something happening might get recorded over. I've found 1080p is 3-4 hrs and a 32Gb card
@@mrmotofy thank you
does this record simutaneoulsy front and rear,
?
Obviously
What’s up with the pointless side shots 😂
Upgraded box 2024
Bro u are missing original box . You’re box is the inside box lol
Pretend your talking to your viewers while recording in car and give your opinion about in real time.
Cars
You literally are not allowed to say "literally" anymore. [59 seconds in.] Okay: back to video. Hope it's a good one. One pint of IPA for every "literally" from here on out.
just because you can multicam doesn't mean you should.
just because you can comment doesn’t mean you should.
@@RodrickViews touche
You literally did not help at all
The constant pointless angle switching every few seconds is kind of annoying
it only records for 2 minutes, then it writes over the recording unless you save it.
That is poor!
It records in X minute increments until your card is full and overwrites unlocked files 🤨
Literally what every dash cam does 🤦🏾♂️
Who cares about the box my man horrible
You’d be surprised. _Very surprised._
it's piece of crap my dude, maybe cool for you is ok. The regality of this mirror is that you can't drive at night without getting flashed by car behind you. IT'S A STUPID DESIGN.
