The recent interviews are simply brilliant. I mean, it's a difficult situation for them, it's not easy and yet they give insight into the most intimate details and luckily they haven't lost their sense of humor. The same optimism remains, only perhaps better than ever. I never thought that after 40 years they could still show or say something new, both musically and lyrics. This album is a masterpiece! Thank you Depeche Mode! DEVOTEE💜FOREVER

@@alexnagy2044 Sister of day like you brother of night , i ve ranked each album from 15 to 1 but can t make up my mind between BLACK CELEBRATION, SOFAD, Sounds of the Universe, Ultra, Playing the Angel and Memento Mori for number one. What a great two amazing classsic songs: Sister of Night and the Sweetest Perfection.
Btw, you have excellent taste, cause I'm in similar "trouble" SOFAD has always been my absolute favorite, but it depends on the mood, and for me I count the big breakthrough from the Black Celebration era, but the atmosphere of Ultra can also captivate me so much that is pure awesome And (!) I used to listen to Playing The Angel ragged, but my first tour was the Tour Of The Universe which was insanely incredible, however, what has just happened I have to say MEMENTO MORI exceeded all my expectations! Simply a soulful masterpiece!!! 💜So I think we have a lot in common when it comes to musical tastes; 😊🤷‍♂(Not to mention, I really like the sound of Delta Machine and I absolutely love the world of Spirit)
P.S: Eat a batch of delicious ice cream for me, because yes, believe it or not, I love it too. Don't be mad that I wrote so long, but it was a great pleasure for me. Please take care of yourself and just, you know...remember how valuable and unique person you are. ENJOY your life my dear soulmate, Laurence!😘

And myself also in a grieving process with the loss of three close friends last year as well. this album was bliss in a realm of darkness and grief. Thank you Dave and Martin for putting the work. My sincere condolences to your irreplaceable loss as well.
Went to see them in Vegas last week and it was sublime. Their music gave me bravery and courage to travel solo in 2017 (Phoenix) and in 2023(Las Vegas). Traveled by bus 13 hrs from Hermosillo, Mexico to Vegas this time.

I hope Marta Salogni work is not yet finished with Depeche Mode. The dephts, the reverbe are so great on that LP. Marta something like a feminine Alan Wilder?? Sure in a different way - but that I was missing in the sound of DM. The strings help sometimes...so strings were used in SOFD already. The cinematic sound fits very well to the dark songs of Depeche Mode. This is Depeche Mode DNA!

Alan has made himself clear enough, especially since he's basically disappeared from the public eye. It's "fans" like you that can't accept that he's moved on and that Depeche Mode is doing well without him. Maybe you were unaware, but it's possible to love and respect Alan without disrespecting the current DM and be stuck in the past.
