@leophoenix1452 Yes, the Red Magic Tablet has an overclocked version of this chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version. This Lenovo Y700 has the regular Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. So the Red Magic is faster. This overclocked version has the same numbers as the Samsung S24 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Samsung Galaxy. (also overclocked variant).
The Redmagic Nova is actually using a different version of the snapdragon 8 gen 3 chip, called the leading version. At the core, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Version is basically an overclocked variant of the standard SoC. It has the Cortex X4 core clocked at 3.4 GHz and the Adreno 750 GPU at 1 GHz. In comparison, the standard chipset's Cortex X4 core is clocked at 3.3 GHz, while the GPU is set at 900 MHz However, this has caused for some stability and power issues on the Nova where the device can't maintain the full performance of the chip through extended game sessions, due to the excessive heat.
It is mostly Apple and Samsung who doesn’t include a brick and Google pixels, but almost everyone else just gives a charger. It it also those three that mostly complain about wrong charging bricks used, but doesn’t give the right one in the box. They act like those charging bricks are indestructible and never breaks.
Hey ETA prime. I think a video on using desktop mode would be great. you may want to highlight parsec or moonlight streaming for folks who have a dedicated gaming pc or server at home and want to use this as a light weight option to take your media with you on the go. I think this would pair up nicely with a travel mouse/keyboard and portable monitor.
I/O wise, the specs are good with the 2 USB ports and SD card slot. The inline desktop mode is a nice touch. 8.8" is an odd size but not a major flaw. I would love to see a 12-14" version. $15 for an additional glass screen protector is petty.
Thanks for the video. I am very interested in notes taking and pencil support. I'd love to use it in a business office context as my daily tasks planner and journaling device. Thanks.
Coming from an older Galaxy Tab S7 (11"), this one checks pretty much all the boxes for me: ✅ affordable price ✅ DeX mode ✅ microSD support* ✅ small size ✅ flagship CPU *this one is of special importance to me, because I'm not just going to throw away my 1TB card I think I found my next tablet.
Definitely want to see a PC mode video. 8 gen 3 can output 8k 30k thru DP 1.4 in theory so 4k 120hz should be possible ,which the first gen to do so including 8s gen 3. Not sure if it is the built-in display using too much resources. Btw, Y700 2023 was a 8+ gen 1, way better than the original 8 gen 1.
You are the best baby❤ Can you review Lenovo Pad Pro 2025? It's a 12.7 inch screen with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SOC. It's even faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Lenovo brought in the display in and then got rid of it almost immediately, which is a shame. I still maintain that all tablets should have a display in an function as a portable monitor. I mean wired, not their laggy software or wifi based solutions that often times require you to install software on the host device (which can be a no-go for a multitude of reasons).
The lack of a memory card is a deal breaker for me. I'll be picking up the 2023 version instead for considerably cheaper with a chipset that isn't too different from the 8 gen 3.

This doesn't have one. He even shows it doesn't have one whilst saying it does 😂
@@chrisharrison3374maybe it's built-in the internet storage
Damm, I feel silly 🤪🤪it specifically says no SD card on the website from the link. 😁😁
I brought this version a couple weeks ago! Super excited for it to get here! Thanks for the video!
Enjoy the no sd card in this tablet
Where did you buy it from?
@@Cubano2031 Yeah, that part sucks, but I did get the 512gb version. I have seen some of them come with an sd card slot, but others not. Kinda strange
I am writing on iPad Mini. One of the best devices I ever had. Ultra portable and Powerful. It fits perfectly between MacBook and iPhone. I carry it in my back pocket. I am using it to work, watching movies, as a better CarPlay system in my Car, and occasionally for gaming, when I can’t use my Steam Deck or Switch. Did you knew there is whole Divinity Original Sin 2 on iPad? With support for split screen and M+K
@@irosso125 i got an iPad and side loading apps is crap, windows and android are so much better
Same line for each Y700 tablet every year 🤣
U sure it supports SD card? Main spec sheet says it doesn't along with other Chinese reviews please edit this to not be misleading
It does not I received mine yesterday.
@@YoungWise2011look properly on the device, maybe you need to open it
@SRC267 I have it and I'm 100% positive there's no SD card
There is NO sd slot. Go to the Giztop link in the description that he posted where to buy. Under Storage this is what is listed.
Lenovo Legion Y700 2024 is with 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB of UFS 4.0 storage(No microSD card slot)
I got one too, there is no SD card slot.
The same chip inside the red magic tablet pumps out way more power than it does here?
How much?
@VictorContesBlackSon the Lenovo y700 is the best performance bargain for an android device right now...
In comparison, the standard chipset's Cortex X4 core is clocked at 3.3 GHz, while the GPU is set at 900 MHz
However, this has caused for some stability and power issues on the Nova where the device can't maintain the full performance of the chip through extended game sessions, due to the excessive heat.
The larger screen one is the y900
Finally Legion Tabs getting the Recognition.....
Does this tab have a 5G variant ?
Thanks for the video. I am very interested in notes taking and pencil support. I'd love to use it in a business office context as my daily tasks planner and journaling device. Thanks.
every single device on earth is the best for gaming and emulation ever, apparently
not the one you have, its sucks and its outdated bruh
@@srobeck77 true, must get whatever the newest video is about NOW
Coming from an older Galaxy Tab S7 (11"), this one checks pretty much all the boxes for me:
✅ affordable price
✅ DeX mode
✅ microSD support*
✅ small size
✅ flagship CPU
*this one is of special importance to me, because I'm not just going to throw away my 1TB card
I think I found my next tablet.
There is no SD card tray. He made a mistake here
For SD you should go for 2023 version and save yourself a 100$
android dedicated desktop PC video please and thank you!
Where do you get the animated backgrounds from?
Wallpaper Engine Application
If they really remove microsd slot its gonna big NO to this tablet
It would be nice to get the comparison of this one (Lenovo Y700 2024) vs. Redmagic Nova (2024).
quite interested to see how the emulation could do with this tablet , and its battery life
Wanted this so bad, 8' is just perfect, but!... no SD card? you've got to be f'king kidding me. WTF! were they thinking?
I love this tablet it just needs to have a bigger model
How long are android tablets being supported these days? Anywhere close to the many years of an iPad?
Definitely want to see a PC mode video. 8 gen 3 can output 8k 30k thru DP 1.4 in theory so 4k 120hz should be possible ,which the first gen to do so including 8s gen 3. Not sure if it is the built-in display using too much resources.
Btw, Y700 2023 was a 8+ gen 1, way better than the original 8 gen 1.
Just wondering how well it performs in editing pictures and videos.
You are the best baby❤ Can you review Lenovo Pad Pro 2025? It's a 12.7 inch screen with the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SOC. It's even faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
Is there stylus support on this tablet?
Connect it with AR glasses like Xreal Air would be impressive
finally i know how you look
I picked up a Y700 2022, on marketplace for 100 bucks tablet is a beast retro gaming
wow im jealous
Lenovo brought in the display in and then got rid of it almost immediately, which is a shame. I still maintain that all tablets should have a display in an function as a portable monitor. I mean wired, not their laggy software or wifi based solutions that often times require you to install software on the host device (which can be a no-go for a multitude of reasons).
The lack of a memory card is a deal breaker for me. I'll be picking up the 2023 version instead for considerably cheaper with a chipset that isn't too different from the 8 gen 3.
