The song might only sound like it's ending abruptly because it's likely going directly into Part 2. Then again, it's a nice artistic representation of the suddenness of death. As heavy and brutal as this band often is, there were several moments in this song that were just plain beautiful. I'm amazed at how they can combine all the elements so well. "Beauty" shouldn't work in a really heavy genre like this, but it does, and it works so very well. This song is fucking incredible. Every song they make is, but the PAIN dripping from this song's musical composition is unreal. You can definitely feel it coming from someone who just lost the love of his love through cancer.
The intro is nostalgic!! Is amazing!!! The intro reminds me of those soundtracks from the 80s, just perfect!!! The melody, the lyrics, the clip... just one word, once again, perfect!! I coomented it there too.
“Oudenophobia” and “Farewell” by Shadow of Intent and “What I Would Give” by Angelmaker are three of the best Deathcore ballads I’ve ever heard. You should react to them.
the hell why is this so got damn emotional, those classic hardcore screams done in will's insane screams..... it's just wow. now the that scream isn't just brutal, he's hitting us straight in the heart.
My mom passed away on this day 11 years ago and when I heard the song while work I thought of it differently but when I watched the video I bawled. The song itself was a breath of fresh air and really needed that.
The final section (?) is super Cradle of Filthy, sounds like something off of Dusk or Cruelty. Love the variety of this band, pretty sick video too \¬¬/
To be honest, I really feel like this is why I’m digging LS so much. Always been a huge CoF fan, but something about The way LS does it, it’s almost like a perfect mix of what I like from Metalcore/other core and those Lows/highs of Dani.
Definitely got that Cruelty vibe after the talking section. When the triplets started it felt like a huge throwback, which i feel like is why i am so into Lorna now. They're doing everything Cradle did in the mid-late 90's and doing it better in their own way
@@Edymos1000 yeah, thats sorta what i noticed once while jamming another song. it clicked that it was like the perfect mix of Cradle type vocals, but better, with actual melodies in a deathcore setting. its for sure a weird mix that just works
I thought To The Hellfire couldn't be topped and they casually put out a 3 movement fucking ballad with LORE like bro wtf lmao these guys are killing it
i think their songs should be definitely mixed with something more, like a clean part with a male/female vocalist, or more complex melody, ecc. - it would be awesome imo. I like that it ends abruptly, i think it adds more contrast and kinda intrigues in a certain way
He did that whole thing with "The Charismatic Voice" and tons of people think she should do a compilation with them. Since she's an opera singer and they've got all the symphonics in their songs. It'd be amazing to see them figure out how to do that. Metal has started bringing in outside the genre people recently and it's worked well in my opinion. Jason Richardson's song with that cellist was awesome.
They did such a good job transitioning from the calming music at the beginning to where Will’s vocals come in. I was expecting it to be really jarring, but it’s pretty damn smooth
I genuinely cannot believe this song. I listened to it on a really rough night in my life. I went for a walk to clear my head when it started to storm, I was so captivated by the song that I just kept walking in the rain. I felt so connected to it, the way there was rain in the intro, it felt like it had left the song and caught up with me as the listener. Right as the guitar solo kicked in there was a huge flash of lightning overhead that lit up the everything around me for a moment. It was such a stunning experience, I definitely cried in multiple places of the song. Just an unreal feeling that this song gave me.
The ending is like they left you like loved ones leave us when they pass away... you don't really get that closure sometimes and leaves you with a void
Goosebumps after the talking part, every single time, such a great song :) I wonder if the cut is because it's only part I, and there being a seamless transition on the album to part II, or if they really cut it, like Wintersun did with Eternal Darkness (Autumn) from Forest Seasons. Back when that song dropped I also thought that the export didn't finish properly, because it was so cut off, but Jaris explanation was along the lines of "The song ends as abruptly and as unexpected as a life can end", which, I think, would also match Lorna Shore's song here. But I wouldn't mind a seamless transition to the next song for sure :3 EITHER WAY I'm SO hyped for the new album AAAAAAH
Nearly every dong of theirs is blasting and then breakdown. This was a nice change of pace, i still love the blasts but i love this the best after into the earth
What an absolute fucking tease!!!! I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for new music from a band. There’s so much I could ramble on about but omg I’m just blown away. So fucking good. I want more!!!!!

"Did the mix not export fully?" Had me dying! 🤣
Haven't heard this song yet, so I'm excited to hear it for the first time with Papa Nik.
6:20 my exact reaction on my first run through two days ago. Thought my phone had died! 😂
I lost my great grandad 6 years ago, and this song brought back all the great memories I had of him. thank you lorna shore for making me remember the good old days 🥲😄
In a recent interview, will even said he was stoked for this album bcus he put his heart and a wide range of emotions into it. I cant freakin wait
The ending. Victory, sudden death!
EDIT: Your reaction was priceless. 🤣
I lost my mother at the age of 11. This song makes me think about all the people i lost at this age and now i will finally see lorna shore life for the first time
LETSGOOO!!!!! one of (if not my favourite) single to come out for the album, super stoked
literally the last min of the song hit me soooo hard!!! super emotional.. wish it didnt end abruptly like it didnt export correctly lmao
Oudenophobia is one of my favorite metal tracks of all time! Doesn’t get the attention it deserves.
SHADOW OF INTENT bro, they hit me hard every time I listen to them. I'm so glad i started listening to them too
the hell why is this so got damn emotional, those classic hardcore screams done in will's insane screams..... it's just wow. now the that scream isn't just brutal, he's hitting us straight in the heart.
Nik already on that drop within the hour 😂👌🏻
My mom passed away on this day 11 years ago and when I heard the song while work I thought of it differently but when I watched the video I bawled. The song itself was a breath of fresh air and really needed that.
The final section (?) is super Cradle of Filthy, sounds like something off of Dusk or Cruelty. Love the variety of this band, pretty sick video too \¬¬/
Filthy 😉
It's in parts! It'll pick back up in the next video.
I am not the biggest fan of deathcore but this song hits so freaking deep man its insane.
I thought To The Hellfire couldn't be topped and they casually put out a 3 movement fucking ballad with LORE like bro wtf lmao these guys are killing it
This made me weepy. Who knew a deathcore song could do that?
will just keeps getting better and better. so glad he’s their new vocalist seems like he really belongs in this band
i think their songs should be definitely mixed with something more, like a clean part with a male/female vocalist, or more complex melody, ecc.
Will does cleans... I would hope that if they put cleans in they are his because they are beautiful
I’m thinking the abrupt stop is like when life suddenly ends. It just ceases.
Just so long as they don't go with the usual cheesy opera singing shit like a lot of symphonic metal bands use.
@@maeganholmes9798 please where i can listen to his cleans?
Crying everytime I hear this trilogy, fkn beautiful
Same😭
Incredible song
Probably my favorite Lorna song ever. This shocked me, I was like "Yo, what! This is Lorna?"
@@ares_bliss yeah this one is different
Of the Abyss: Lorna Shore has one breakdown
To The Hellfire: Lorna Shore has two breakdowns
Dancing Like Flames: I have a breakdown 😢
Best Lorna Shore track so far with Will as their vocalist, no 🧢🧢🧢
I just went from teary eyed to wondering if this is what blue balls feel like.
Safety is important!
I listened to this on Spotify while working and the sudden end made me restart multiple times thinking my internet connection cut out lol
When deathcore gets deep😌
Metal as a genre is going UP and it makes me so happy I love Lorna Shore and I cant wait for the album!!!
Am I insane for thinking Ronnie would sound amazing on this song as a feature? Like a mix of singing and screaming
No lorna shore is a great band no need to ruin it with Mr transphobe, tantrum, misogynistic twunt.
Ronnie Coleman :D
They did such a good job transitioning from the calming music at the beginning to where Will’s vocals come in. I was expecting it to be really jarring, but it’s pretty damn smooth
Can agree, just the intro alone.. Hits right in the feels.
I cried, I didn't expect that emotional bridge. This is my first time hearing this here.
Deathcore isnt really my genre but i have to say that the last 2 minutes are just sooo amazing imo
I am looking forward to the 2nd part of this
Check out the first single Escape of the project "K-Usura", they're fucking great !! There is Norman the drummer from Defamed in the line up.
You’re so fast with it! I love how it just ends lol they legit meant part 1, “you don’t get a nice fade out that could be an ending”
What an absolute fucking tease!!!! I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for new music from a band. There’s so much I could ramble on about but omg I’m just blown away. So fucking good. I want more!!!!!
I still can't get enough of this entire album. These songs leave me so emotional
Legit the most powerful and emotional deathcore ballad EVER made!!!!
Holy crap the solo give me massive goosebumps, what a fantastic song! Btw Nick, the editing on the reaction part was crisp as fuck! :D
This song got me straight into deathcore last week.
