  • Wallo267 went on to spend five years in and out of the juvenile system. By the time he reached 17 the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections identified him as inmate #DG-2670. While serving his time his brother was murdered. In this difficult heartfelt talk, Wallo talks about the power of forgiveness. Wallo267 went on to spend five years in and out of the juvenile system. By the time he reached 17 the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections identified him as inmate #DG-2670. While serving his time he realized he was in prison for being someone he really wasn’t. From that moment on he started embracing his individualism. As Wallo267 would say “I wasn’t in jail I was in Yale, I wasn’t in prison I was in Princeton, I wasn’t in the State Penn I was in Penn State”. He ran into a cell phone as his sentence was coming to an end, that cell phone helped him see that the world was bigger than the streets that once dictated his every move. At the age of 37, he walked out of prison February 18th, 2017 after serving twenty years for multiple armed robberies and firearm violations. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Found out about this man a few minutes ago on TSR ... A conversation he had with durk crying about his brother who died in his grandmother arms ... After watching this video I choose today to forgive my father and my ex for what they did to me ... I have to forgive in order for me to heal and become the woman of my dreams .. like what Wallo said "Holding on to yesterday you won't be bless for tomorrow"

I went years thinking about my brothers killer too.... once i saw this video u made me realze how successful i already am and if something happens to me would my mother be able to lose 2 sons while she already has a daughter that is slow and she is COUNTING ON ME to take care of her when my mother passes ! My mother told me at age 10 i was most likely going to be the one to take care of her and this is when my brother was alive. I lost him at age 19. I never understood what she meant until now. This video is POWERFUL. Thank you brother may god bless your soul 🙏🏻

Dam bro. I lost my pops, best friend and a bunch of cousins in Allentown PA . Losing my brother to gun violence turned my Hart cold. I then went to jail for a merder. my team smased and cut the guy charged with his murder in Allentown, correctional facility but only his death could make me fill better. I also had to step up and help take care of my brothers 3 daughters. I felt like him getting delt with when he comes home is the only remady but I as well am guilty of the same act that got me filling like this about my brother. I never cared to think about someone trying to get revenge on me for my actions on taking a man's life but only thought about my brothers death and revenge. I seen this and cried like a baby. Even tho these incidents happened 20 years ago I realize the pain can't go away with revenge on your mind. I might have to take a page from your book and utalize it for my self. brother keep doing what you do, riches comes in the form of people you positively effect. Brother you are on your way to being a wealthy Man. Peace and blessings.

You dont know me Mr. WALLO. I'm a older person, but I watch you and Gillie, I love and respect you young men. Regardless of what happen prior , you have turn out to be a fine young man. Why? Because you learned from all the mistakes, you grew to maturity. You ask for and receive forgiveness. You are so passionate about this. You went thru all of that so that you could help others. You know what you are talking about because you experience it.for yourself. We dont know how we are going to use to help others. It's young men like you and Gilley, Nipsey. That make a difference.Keep up the good work. Some will listen and some wont, but it ok only take one.

Couldn’t really watch this one, although I have the utmost admiration for the positivity my Brother lives by! Maybe one day I’ll get around to hearing his pain, that I know firsthand.. Hard dealings to forgive the person who took your blood brother, but what would he want me to do, be here for his family, or show them the absolute wrong way! 3 strong boys have become men, and I’m glad I’m still here to witness HIM in THEM!

How can you forgive something like that. I can't imagine myself being in that space nor do I want to honestly. If I am forgiving only for my personal growth as a human , am I genuinely forgiving?
