Man I was just watching Kyle's video and when I seen him bring the hatch back to you to get the bay done, I'm just like man I hope you upload a video on this soon and what do you know came to check and uploaded 2 minutes apart from Kyle's lol I can sleep good tonight
great work as always, suggestion though, make or get a "copper spoon" i made one with a flattened section of copper pipe that i just use with vice grips. use it as a backer for larger holes. weld wont stick to it and keeps your build up down and makes filling large holes way easier.
@BodeVision Personally I enjoy the variation... keep it up Bode!! Still don't get how the subs aren't going up!! PS are you open to working on your subs' cars? A foxbody hatch?
@cbrsixxer0169 you should check out "virginia is for lowriders" and "puddins fab shop" both build trucks and cars and are super knowledgeable and skilled
Bode I love how creative you are. Whether it's the work itself, your intro, a video editing technique, always varying the time lapse music, or the banter you have with yourself and the 4th wall... I enjoy every video regardless of what you are working on.
I love your garage setup and also what your able to accomplish in such a tight space is amazing to me. You have me looking at building a add on garage space 🤣. Love the Hatch as you said its getting back to your roots. Also love the welding/fab knowledge you give out. As a welder/fab for 20years everything you give is spot on, quick, solid information for someone new or experienced. Ive learned so much from watching your videos. Getting ready to fix up my 68' F100. Thinking of building it to get back to my roots and do circut track days with it.
This has to be the best engine compartment smoothing video I have ever seen…. Ok it is the only one. Good tip and tricks. I like the pace of your videos.
I’ve been following your channel since you painted Kyle’s wago and let me tell you that I freaking love your incredible work keep it up I can’t wait to see final results 🔥
U can back the hole your welding up with a peice of aluminum square toon flat stock whatever the weld wont stick to aluminum just pop it off when your sone and on to the next . Love the channel hope to see more old school
Bode have you used all metal before I did on my engine bay and it works way better than body filler no shrinkage or cracking it's been over 10 years and still looks the same
People argue back and forth on this. I’ve seen that modern body filler is meant to go over everything and I know some people say epoxy first is a must. I think personal preference is best practice
The slambox is what brought me here, your wealth of knowledge is what kept me here 😎

I gotta be honest, i never much thought the engine bay would ever get the love 😂
experienced the Kyle special finding those two different bolts.
Bode giving the hatch a clean shave!! 🎉
A time lapse video from start to finish in one video would be so good and prolly go viral .
I like your sun glasses
Great job as always

Funny I'm new here because of the truck stuff. Dig it all though.
I've put a brass or copper backer when I patched small holes on my restoration project

Amazing as always. Lol, Kyle really needs to get some aftermarket brakes. Now is the time. Do all the fancy parts under there!

@@barra245t2I visited in 1980, Hawke’s Bay and Christchurch (on my way down to Antarctica)
Love the civic videos BV!
i like the "scuff paint before filler" talk, mechanical adhesion is the only adhesion.
Keep up the good work
Real good of you to protect the front windshield from weld splatters 👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks to boosted so im coming to ur channel 😊
I prefer using a hole saw for patches myself mainly because I don’t have a shear lol
Bodism to the MAX
I'm shaving mine right now so looking forward to some tips on wiring!
I just like watching you work your very efficient amazing that you can produce such high quality work in your small shop

Great job man!
That's the correct way to do it. Great job.
U can back the hole your welding up with a peice of aluminum square toon flat stock whatever the weld wont stick to aluminum just pop it off when your sone and on to the next . Love the channel hope to see more old school
Good stuff. I am wanting to shave the engine compartments on all my squarebody k5s
Good stuff I’m planning to shave my engine bay on my Acura integra so Im taking notes
Great video
Very informative and well put together
Bode have you used all metal before I did on my engine bay and it works way better than body filler no shrinkage or cracking it's been over 10 years and still looks the same
Here for the boiz
It looks great man keep it up!
Boostedboiz brought me here, but I like all the stuff you do. I am happy to see a little change, though.
When you said why you are blurry I laughed because I currently have a cold and not wearing my glasses 😂😂
Nice job explaining how to do it
Great work brother...it's going to real nice...
Old school tip. Add welding filler rod when you weld huge hole. Non critical places works great.
Hey when going to bear metal do you first epoxy primer then body filer or do you body filer and then primer ?
Nice work as always!
Sometimes i wish i lived in Florida cause this man is the kind of man id want to paint my 99 civic and my 15 accord.
Looking good Adam this is going to be the smoothest engine bay in the USA, hey I'm a poet and didn't know it😎🙏👍John UK
Can’t wait
What is your opinion on spraying DTM epoxy primer over bare metal before applying filler/skim coat?
People argue back and forth on this. I’ve seen that modern body filler is meant to go over everything and I know some people say epoxy first is a must. I think personal preference is best practice
From Costa Rica, good content always!!
