I started out at 15. I bought my first civic and got to welding. It turned out like hot garbage but failure has been the best lesson for me. No one in my family knew anything about bodywork/paint. Start on some junk parts and work your way up until you get the confidence to do it man! Thanks for watching.

Grind and clean the metal you are going to weld. Keep your tip off the metal. Keep the tip clean, you will know when it’s not. Use Aragon if you have the hookup. Don’t chase burn throughs, let it cool off and come back to it. Try drilling some holes in a junk fender and practice a little until you feel comfortable. Hope this helps.

Nice job on the engine bay bro... but I kinda dontbagree with you on the no way people can do primer in only two coats... the thing is it depends on a person's experience and technique personally I used to do my prep fully before primer basically if you do your filler in coats that are designed to build fill and smooth using the different levels of filler that are colour coded you can square away all defects in the filler stage so when your first primer layer goes on with a couple over top to wet flat it an see any more low spots which should be none then clean it prime it again with its top coat primer wet flat then use your chosen colour to flow coat wet flat it then spray second layer of colour wet flat lawyer wet flat lawyer wet flat then punish with a sponge mop and curing paste mixed with a good was then buff with sheep's wool mop and done only time you would need more than two coats of primer is if your prep work ie body work and filler was not done precise...any way I might dis agree with your statement of primer coats but I think you did a helps job with your engine bay an I love the twotone colour flip in that paint it looks well slick budd

I’m talking in regards to a restoration project. I don’t need to do multiple primer sessions for a collision repair. When I do a full restoration the entire car gets block sanded with at minimum 2 sessions of 4 coats. Even if there’s no damage. But I was mainly stressing it in this bay. Have you ever done a full shaved bay before? It’s not like doing any other body work that’s for sure. I don’t wet sand primer. I don’t understand some of your wording either by helps hand?
