As retired mechanic seeing Bode has a sheet of plastic taped to the floor under “The Hatch” and his paint/primer measuring and mixing area on his work bench masked off with a piece of paper says a lot about a person’s work ethic and attention to detail. Two of my biggest pet peeves are greasy, grimy floors and cluttered and generally dirty work benches.
As someone who just started painting a few months ago, having the clearcoat come out that good, after all the time you spend sanding and prepping to make sure its mint, is one of the most satisfying things ever. All the tips you give out are awesome. This channel has quickly become one of my favorites.
Wow, thanks for showing the process. A lot of work went into it and it looks so sick. Need a little flash from before to after, such a dramatic change.
Holy crap man! Looks absolutely incredible! Another methodical professionally executed paint job in the books. So glossy and super consistent. No peel bumps or imperfections. Stoked for the frame and wheel wells!
I am surprised to see you letting the LS Accord go, but I understand that each project is simply a stepping stone to the next project. Besides, you would run out of space if you held on to every project (unless you are Samcrac). The Civic engine compartment paint looks great!
used to put up a little but more pressure and lowered the paint , made for a wider fan and with the kindow job i did (commersial light sighn) i could cover the whole side in one move i could move the gun from corner to corner and kept going untill the paint flowed out then left it alone , and not get fat lines of oversprayed paint , did dust like crazy though , the whole booth was misted over by the time i was done but the paint looked supersmooth straight out of the gun
Great job! I know exactly how hard this is and you made it look easy! One thing that helps me on jobs like this and door jams and stuff is my mini 3” sanders! I have a mini palm sander and right angle style and they definitely save your fingers some wear and tear! But either way like you said it’s a LOT of manual hand sanding! I like the balloon trick I’ve never thought of that but i have used some foam balls and foam pipe insulator which is the same concept but what I’ve learned over the years is every body man does it differently but as long as it comes out good in the end who cares lol.
Looks unreal! Excellent series man, I'm about to tackle this same project for the first time in my life on my 01 prelude, and watching this series definitely made me feel a lot more comfortable trying it out myself. Thanks for the tips and tricks.
Beautiful as always!! We had a 86 Accord with over 300k original miles. I can't imagine what an Accord/6.0 GTO would be like. That's going to be some lucky person, wow!!
Looks really good but why not paint the outside under the fender area while your there it would make the most since or is there a big reason why not I understand the fender covers it up
Looks amazing man! 🔥🔥
Thanks man! I appreciate the opportunity!
How many entries do you have in the giveaway ?? That accord is super fresh and I could see you pushing that bad boy on the channel lol
Looking forward for the next video installing the engine. I hope you don't accidentally scratch it! hahah
Wheres the videos be I'm hanging out
Gotta get that H looking fresh Kyle 😎
The "Makes you wanna spell Tuna sub backwards" killed me! LOL
I had to spell it backwards to see if it even spelt anything
It got me too 😂😂😂
I was weak af 😂💀
I hate to say it but I either forgot or never heard this one before but either way I had to spell it in my head. Had me rollin
I haven't heard that joke in at least 10 years. 💀
I can't believe you are giving away the Honda Accord. You put sooooo much work into it.
That balloon hack is cool as heck!
Thanks man! Works great! The best way I’ve seen for this
@@BodeVision I love it! Also, just got my entry to the Accord giveaway!

Paint matched bay✅ Looking dripping wet✅ Another banger of Bode✅
Killing it. Looks awesome so far. How them fingers feel 😂
lol you know the struggle. Painting is one thing. Sanding an engine bay until your fingers bleed is another
Bro killing in with the intros always 😂😂😂😂
That’s what I’m talking about Homie your educating us on how to do it and you’re pulling off some bad ass work let’s go
That balloon trick is the sickest thing I've seen all week
thats what she said
I was just about to write this! Kudos on that. I wonder if he came up with it himself or he saw it from an old-timer lol
Using balloons to fill holes is an old trick that tends to be used for a while forgotten and rediscovered every few years
Entered! I love that car!
That engine bay looks better than most full car paint jobs.
I love engine bays painted... looks so much better.

So good...so under rated. Show some love for Bode.
The balloon trick’s simplicity just blew my mind. How have I not thought of that?!

Insanely cool inside look! Great video
Glad you liked it!!
Great work watching from Cape Town South Africa
Oh the baloon trick is ganster thanks
That came out great! In all my years, I've only done black engine compartments, but maybe the next one will be body color.
You are correct on your color knowledge.
I think the hatch needs a Bode Vision sticker on that back glass to represent where that paint job came from
Lol
Completely correct on the color btw
Bus anut! Our man Bode went and blew the bottom out of this one!! 🔥🔥
Looks freaking badass!!!!!!
Absolutely glassy

Looks top 👌
You knocked this paint job out the park brother
Wow great work looks amazing
Looks awesome, Milano was around with the EG
Have you tried 3M softback sanding sponge they work amazing for that sort of work, and you dont bust up your finger .

You knocked it out of the park!!
It’s crazy how good it looks considering how jacked up it was haha. Kyle’s gonna love it

Milano red is EG 90-94, killer work as usual

Love that perfect wet look. Killer job man!
Impressed.
Love the process. Definitely going to use some of these tricks on future builds.
Looks SOOO good! Makes me want to repaint my (red) engine bay. Thanks for dropping the tips & tricks!🎈
Looks soo good so wet! Keep up the drive and work always learning
That turned out so good! Way to go man!
Damn! That looks great! And that Accord is sick!
from one painter to another, that is some beautiful work mate, keep it up!
Thanks a lot!
I need some advice.
What would be your pick for an air bag setup for a 1960 Thunderbird? I value your input. Thanks 😊
Looks beautiful !
Looks awesome! Definitely looks like it is dripping wet!
Always great stuff. Why not use scotchbrite instead of 320 grit for final sand, much faster and consistent over corners and edges versus sand paper
Things is beautiful
Sheesh! Absolutely killed it man🔥🔥
When he said “masked off” I thought for sure he was gonna say “fuck it, masked off” 😂 Future : “Body Work” Edition
Drippin butter on that bay

Balloons. Genius!
Milano Red comes in Civic Si 92-95 hatch.. I Owen one ❤️
How do you stop rust from forming on the backside once you weld the holes shut. Like on the frame rails for example
