I fought at this reenactment! I had an allied soldier discharge a bazooka round right in front of my ear, tore my ear drum out. I was also the one who captured one of your allied soldiers the night before the final engagement; good times
I doubt your ear drum was tore out. I've had my ear drum ruptured from a gun fired way to close to my head, but never tore out.
How does being a Sniper in a re-enactment work? Cause you use blanks.
You have to have a system where referees keep an eye on snipers, maybe radio to opposing refs who he is shooting at. Most of the time reenactment battles are not conducive to sniper action.
Or there is just no sniper in re anactment

I'm still quite confused on how these reenactments work but once I figure that out I might try doing world war 2 or maybe even world war 1 reenactments
Basically we get into units, and at tactical events, it's a wargame. Hits are made with the honor system. Public battles are usually scripted, and usually just a big "monster truck" type deal in a small open area for the public to see guys & vehicles running around.

Ty, i always wondered about that since obviously most american reenactors prefer the us side, the german side would still need to be staffed in roughly equal numbers so people would probably need to alternate.

Do you only do reenactment where you live? Or just the state cuz there is a great place to go to for reenactment this year i think it was world war 1 and they had all the trenches really cool place it is called American GI museum located in Texas
Artillery followed by mortars, followed by bazookas and then grenades and machine guns covering the final assault....

I know it’s a military base so it’s a little bit different, but how do fields usually feel about rounds and clips and other debris (and trash) being on the fields? Is there usually a rule by them or by the reenacting group?
If you clean up after yourself like a regular human being nobody will care anywhere.
Why would you leave casings, clips, and garbage laying around? Have you ever cleaned up after yourself? Do you clean your home?
I can’t say I’ve ever shot a Garand or any gun in my home, so I don’t know what the proper etiquette for casings and clips is. Have you?
@sunnyd1722 clean up after yourself. The military term for cleaning up your casings is to "police your brass".
How do you do that if you're moving and shooting? You can't retrace your steps if you're reenacting.
Hey WW2 where can you get the uniforms? Bc I am starting my own collection
I collected all of my stuff from WW1 to today from my local surplus store and eBay sellers. Just learn what to look for. It could be markings, stitching, types of straps. Sometimes there are disingenuous sellers online but I have never been burnt.

A lot. Plus idk much about this but there may be other fees that the areas they’re on will charge.

6:29 private, you settled in a very precarious position (the middle of an open area) while wearing a non-camouflage uniform. I skimmed a ww2 infantry field manual video and the muscle memory of what to do when enemy shots were fired is to close in on the nearest brush or tree line even if it’s occupied by the enemy.
I rather take my chances in close combat rather than getting sniped in the open.
Open field is a no no in a rifle firefight, unless you’re bombarded by artillery fire or suppressed by a machine gun.

They're real guns with blanks in them, they aren't shooting anyone

They’re real guns but they’re modified when they’re not bolt action- they use blank ammo and have a special thing in the barrel that lets the gun still work even though it’s not shooting an actual bullet.
I'm going to say that it's a shame that I don't believe that you read anything that people commented on or about and I have asked multiple questions about the way you do things and what you use only to be ignored by you now that you have gotten so big and the more subs you get the less is seen in response. God bless you and your family and I will not bother you anymore with my trivial thoughts from this veteran of real life.
