love the video, and I love that you’re using Pilot Edge and flying seriously. Here’s a hint from 20 years of real world IFR: always put frequencies where you’ll be interacting with a controller in the #1 radio and use #2 for secondary things like ATIS, FSS, etc. That way you’ll ALWAYS know that the last controller you talked to is available with a push of the #1 flip/flop. (you started off setting the destination tower in the #2 radio.) Some day, usually at a high-workload moment, a controller or your ears will mistake a frequency assignment, and having to fumble around to remember where the last good contact is could start an error snowball.
My question is this....How could anyone in their right mind click a dislike on this amazingly awesome video??? If you are one of those who dislike this video and what this brilliant young man is doing with his life, I am setting aside a full week just to pray for you. What you have is a million times worse than "Corona Virus".

SMX was the airport where i learned to fly back in 05. I miss it. Thanks for this!! It used to be a much rougher landing bc it had a huge grove of trees at beginning of runway & btwn the ocean & trees it was like battling a tiger to get my cessna 172 down. But over the yrs they've extended the runway & cleared the trees so i imagine it is a bit easier to get down.
What a great looking setup with that atmospheric lighting just the icing on the cake.

Amazing Videos and outstanding Sim build! I saw on another home sim build video that they put a thin long duct tape type shiny material bent to form a 90 degree angle over the two side bezels and it instantly minimizes them and slightly reflects the image from each side. You might like that simple disappearing bezel hack! Keep up the great videos!

How did you connect those 3 tv's to your pc
@@dams7838 Your video card (should) have multiple outputs. If not you can get cards that do. Then you plug in multiple monitors, or in his case TV's and then do what is called (Extended desktop) this will span windows (OS) across all the screens. You may have to do some tweaking for bezel correction so there isn't a gap where the screen separate, or you might have to tell the games to run at the larger size vs the center screen also.

quick tip: for pilotedge audio you need to set the volume at e.g 50%. At 100% it is clipped distored as you hear (@4:18 including their atis)

Totally awesome, great content, honestly.(not so keen when you switch to out of cockpit full view, windowed in bottom right is fine) Just breaks the immersion IMO. Keep up the good work!

That set up is "Sweet"...do you ever watch " Jonfly and Mojogrip???....Also you should do a complete Vlog series from building to testing..to. Pre flight ..basic flying. And some tutorials on navigation..radio work with ATC..and show what its like in the real thing compared to flight simulation ..that would be a big hit!!!!....there's not that much difference..(except for the bumping around and the ear popping!!! :).. Have you thought about setting this sim on a full motion platform ??? Now that would be something!!!. You should put this in a.RV or a van and take it on the road.. ...🐦...Are you ready for the new Microsoft FS 2020???...
My only recommendation for the video audio is reducing the volume of ATC just a couple of dB’s. Everything else is fantastic

Amazing cockpit! Do you also fly vr...? I can recommend it, i have also some saitek panels, and with muscle memory i can use all the buttons. Got a trackball on my leg, 2 click other buttons works perfectly...

Is there an option or you can set up real world weather in real time and when you're talking to the Tower are you talking to real people is that like a setup for certain rooms in X-Plane where people act like the tower and actually talk or is that something else.....
