WOW! Possibly the best home simulator I’ve ever seen.
then you havent seen the Warthog Project yet: ua-cam.com/channels/Jq3cq9N6xYF0fAvTgpwoBg.html
Imagine this with maximum settings on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020
Tommywickettaker that’s what I do! And I have the new pc waiting to cope with new system requirements...
@@AlfredtwinSim Can´t wait to see some videos of it... can´t be very far from reality anymore with the stunning visiuals and detail MS showed so far...
Imagine if it won't be compatible.
Adil D. HaHaHa you are evil
12 fps lmao. Xplanes new Vulcan update is great though!
A big HELLO from Canada. Your home set up is absolutely AMAZING!!!! The best I have ever seen for a home sim. I am currently building a 172 set up, modeled after the one seen from "On The Glide Slope".
THANK YOU for posting and sharing this information. It is so HELPFUL to the rest of us "flight simmers" who are not as technically inclined.
LOVE all your videos. I hope you can find time to post MORE.
Two thumbs up.
From Canada too! Making a carbon cub setup right now!
Thank you for great visuals and narration. Mind opening and well done!
I have been waiting for this for years, THANK YOU!!!
An amazing setup! Fantastically put together.
This is my favorite home set up I have seen.
Super awesome cockpit and great video! Loved the way you went through each part. I could only dream of someday having a cockpit half as good as what you've created. Nice work!
That's absolutely amazing! Best home setup I've ever seen. Good job, man!
Truly inspirational! Particularly impressed with the throttle quadrant swap out, to give you some aircraft type flexibility, just in a matter of seconds!! But of course what makes this so special is the incorporation of the actual Piper shell. A real work of art and labour of love .
Wow. Fantastic job. The best home sim I have seen. This is my dream SIM setup. Perfect❤️
Hello from phoenix Arizona USA. That is a beautiful simulator you’ve built. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
Love it Man!! Awesome explanations and great execution. Endless possibilities out there.
Awesome pit, it's a dream to build a two seater at home and your installation seems to be the must have! Nice work :)
Nice to see someone singing the praises of force feedback. I use a custom ffb stick I made out of a old 40 dollar Microsoft ffb 2 stick and it's better than 500 dollar flight sticks. The flight sim world doesn't do enough to take advantage of this very amazing feature and people have no idea how much of a difference it makes when flying, especially a helicopter.
Actually I was not aware of this myself for a long time and the price did let me consider it even longer. But without it (it is the same for the shaker) I would not want to use it anymore.
So much detail, they even have 2 little chairs for mouse stowaways 9:44
This is why freedom is awesome. I've seen several sim setups and the regular people making setups for themselves outclass commercial simulators by entire leagues. Several of them have the potential to be put to use commercially if they make it easier to build. A bit of technology and a lot of passion is just incredible.
Thank you and absolutely. I flew brand new Level-D multimillion dollar sims and was surprised that they all have poor visuals. And general aviation setups are sometimes super expensive but not really that much attractive - the only thing missing with my setup is going the certification route than it would be a nice professional training sim. But maybe I sell it to a flight school one day to make space for new projects.
The best sim i saw so far 👍👍 Amazing stuff
Amazing work! Well planned and executed. Respect!
MIND BLOWN! poof ! That is truly amazing my friend !!!
quality stuff, love the video and off course your setup :) Nice balanced information with voiceover and summary in text, big thanks :)
thanks, took me quite some time to plan this massive video and gather all the information that I thought would be useful for others. Glad you enjoy it!
You are an true inspiration.... Please keep up your great work...
Greetings from the U.K, good sir. Your home simulator is bleedin' smashing. Absolutely remarkable. I am an envious chappie! Top marks.
awesome job putting that simulator together, you deserve more subscribers to your channel!
Eine wirklich großartige Arbeit. Ich habe mir schon viele Cockpits angeschaut, mehr Carsims als Flysims, aber so etwas wie das hier, habe ich noch nie gesehen.
Großen Respekt vor deiner Arbeit !
Thank you for sharing this! What an amazing simulator build, I would love to have a flight in this 👍😀✈️
Congratulations on this sim setup! It looks incredible. Thank you for giving us an in-depth tour!
You are very welcome and thanks for commenting!
Amazing home flight cockpit and instruments. Its the best I have ever seen. Well done 👏
Very nice complement! Thanks!
Awesome setup! LOVE IT! ;) The more I watch I'm just in awe...
Thanks!😀
Beautyfull set-up! And beautyfull video!!! Congragulation!
Man, I remember talking with you 8-10 years ago. You have come a long way, so happy for you man. Your work is amazing, I am so jelous! Keep it up brother.! Your awesome Alfred twinSim
Very Very impressive and was a pleasure to watch..!!
I'd say the PC and the projectors are putting out a serious amount of heat!!,
Awesome room.. just perfect!
Finally someone that does a GA home cockpit right! Well done.
This is FANTASTIC! Thanks for sharing!
Many thanks for the inspiration. I am currently building my own cockpit utilising three screens. I will let you know the end results.
Honestly better than most 737 setups you see. Amazing work, I'm extremely jealous! Also what a great idea having the G1000s running on iPad, expensive but helps performance eh :)
Absolutely amazing!
Great vid - very professional with a really clear structure and descriptions. Very inspiring to consider projectors, as I have always discounted that as an option due to limited space - ausgezeichnet.
Thanks for the nice comment and glad it inspired you!
I love winsim, wonderful setting, good job man 😊👍👍
Fantastic sim. Thanks for sharing!
Holy crap, now that is the dream! Insanely impressive set up, the interior of the aircraft looks amazing.
thank you very much - glad you like it!
Thanks for the video. Truly a work of art and love! I am a private pilot, and I quit flying when my children were young. When I retired I would start flying again. A couple of years ago I had a stroke and might not be able to fly real airplanes. So I have had in mind building a sim much like yours. Many thanks for your ideas and I wish you the best!
If the medical is the problem I can assure you that building such a sim is maybe also very much rewarding as a substitute. Especially since the hobby bring so many fields of interest together that make it a journey of its own. Glad I could inspire you and all the best for your upcoming plans.
@@AlfredtwinSim yes the medical is the primary reason for not flying. It is a lot of money on a fixed income as well but I haven’t had the chance to fly. I worked as a communication engineer and worked with avionics so it would be fun to put mine together.
Dude that's some AMAZING home cockpit !! What a good job you did !! Result is AWESOME !! I wish I could do it in my little home for my military Flight Sim :)
Thanks mate! You can do that also in your little combat sim! Trust me...
@@AlfredtwinSim Well I'm about to begin ;) 3D printer is about to come and computer stuff is nearly complete :D Fly safe !!
Wow, very nice!! Love it.
Damn, you even have the vibrations, super impressive
Absolutely phenomenal.
Ufff!! What a dream!! That thing is amazing.
Awesome, amazing work
Simply fantastic
Great idea and job!
Amazing just what I dream to build 👌
Very good. Quite the piece of kit.
Nice build...the real cockpit shell is icing on the cake...congratulations on a beautiful flight sim airplane!!! Enjoy it and fly the wings off of it!!! My first sim was made of plywood and pvc poe over thirty five years ago and i was using fs 2 by Atari and. Commodore 64 back in the stone ages:)..the sim comp packs have come a long since then ( Microsoft fs..and X plane))...thanks for sharing!!! I use laptops and VR goggle now looking forward to the MS 2020 package but I love my old school sim pack too!!
Thanks for commenting and indeed, I can remember my Commodore 64 well and thus have a clear idea of the long way we have come. VR can be interesting I am sure. But for me the smell and touch of a cockpit to physically be there is a must and so the experience is a different one. But the future will bring new technology so let’s see where we are in 10 years from now.
Einfach eines der besten Homecockpits, die ich bislang gesehen habe. Würde zwei Daumen nach oben da lassen, wenn ich könnte ;D
OMG this is incredibly realistic while flying with this simulator 🥰👍👍👍I can just say wunderbar es ist unheimlig 😮❤✌
Awesome job!
Alfred !! SUPERB !!!
Wow. Good work. 😍
Brilliant well done 👍
Wow, amazing!
What to say, i am speechless!1 wish simulator ? Congrats on this simulator Alfred !
Wow, this is perfect !!
Like to see Elite Dangerous on this lol. I love my Buttkicker Gamer 2 with DCS. The first time I used it I landed on the carrier with the F18. I had it turned up too much and when I hit the deck it knocked a picture off my wall. Firing the gun is insane also. Kobuleti taxi way is separated by cement sections and when I taxi you can feel the bumps between the sections.
Wow, lovely!
wooow What amazing job!! you are a genious
Awesome dude
Man, I'm a real life pilot, and I'm impressed !!
Matt Vegas I’m a real professional pilot with over 23.000 hours but don’t see any reason to mention it. In any case I love the display; very impressive and congratulations.
@@gerardosalazar161 Actually being not a pilot in real life (I think both hobbies would be too much for my family) it is good to hear that my setup does resemble what real world pilots see as realistic - even though I am more on the building side and never really learned all those lovely procedures and communication to the level it should be looking at the rig.
WOW, just WOW!
The magic word is .........’perfect’
It can’t be better.
Awsome dude
Amazing!
Freaking Awesome!
God job. It's awsome. ...
Nice. Personally at that point I would rather fly the real thing. On the flip-side though, I Would still love to have that in my home!
Well those are two quite different hobbies - for me owning this piece - especially being a father of a young family with sometimes not more than 30min breaks to make a flight - it would be impossible to go somewhere an spend half the day there for a short flight. So building a sim just makes me build a bigger sim (with a faster and more complex aircraft).
Damn man, this is great work...
My problem with such a project (space and money aside) is: once i started with getting such a cockpit, i´d need several rooms, because i´d need one for a 2-seater, single-seater (fighter),
one for a truck, for a GT car and so on... because, you know, immersion :D
Much respect and greetings from Berlin :)
Hallo aus Wien nach Berlin! And glad you like it. Actually I have more sims under the work and one is a Mini Cooper sim in a real mini shell of course... But same here, need space for it to grow and my wife is not cooperative any more beyond what I have conquered in the house until now😀
@@AlfredtwinSim in that case i hope you 2 can figure something out ... best wishes for your future projects ;)
I'm planning on making my own sim cockpit for DCS. I'm either gonna make an F/A-18 cockpit or F-16 cockpit. I've taken a lot of inspiration from Warthog Project's cockpit setup. I would make an A-10 cockpit, but I don't haven nearly enough familiarization with the platform.
This is truly awesome Alfred! Do you have any photos or suggestions for how you modified the CH rudders? It appears they really are the only ones that are narrow enough for real general aviation cockpit shell. Thanks!
Master of nerdism Award. Love it. Awesome setup. Nerds rule
Haha, I have some new projects that are even more nerdy but still cool 😀 glad you like it! Thanks for commenting!
outstanding
brilliant sir
Well Done
Thanks😀
Sehr cool! Danke :)
Amazing work man!! if I can get my adult children to move the hell out of my house I'm going to look at building one as well but I'll like use a VR headset instead for ultimate immersion.
Haha - that sounds like a plan. My pretty young children are one of the core reasons that I am not at the sim as often as I would like to be. But it is a hell of ride to build such a sim and highly rewarding.
Masterpiece
He Just need to increase the range of the projectors, there are two huge gaps, all the rest is awesome including the vibrations in the cabin very realistic
Thanks for the comment, but I do not completely get what you propose. Where do you encounter those gaps? I can not make the picture even bigger and from the pilot's perspective there are not gaps in sight.
You should visit the A10 Warthog project UA-cam channel. He uses a paint with aluminum particles that really makes a difference.
I know that project, it is awesome. Never thought about a new paint - but might consider it for the next King Air project I am designing.
The screen setup reminds me of "the warthog project". You should go check him out. Full blown a-10 cockpit for DCS
When I watch you fly in the simulator it looked really realistic. I would be fooled if someone said that was real to me
thanks for the comment! It is indeed a very realistic feeling!
Simply beautiful. Why did not continue filming?
Well I definitely want one at the earliest opportunity I get. I'm not even joking
It is going to be for sale in the upcoming weeks
@@AlfredtwinSim I dread to ask how much🫣🫣 but how much?
sheesh that sim bussin
Man you rock !!!!!!!!!!
A dream come true.
Incredible set up! I wish I could have one like that.
What's the name of the Force Feedback yoke you are using?
Thanks! It is the Force Feedback yoke from a dutch company called Flight Illusion.
Do you have a list of what you bought for the cockpit in terms of gear? I want to start building my own glass cockpit soon C172 Skyhawk setup. Thank you
What an amazing home cockpit. I'm just starting to gather parts for my own build. The PFC throttle has me very intrigued due to the ability to swap out throttle types. Obviously it's very pricey though. I don't foresee flying airliners but I would like to have something 'realistic' for most GA aircraft and even some business jets. How difficult is the throttle to setup (is it 'plug and play' or does it require some setup in an app or programming)? Not much info out about it.
sorry for the late reply! If it is still of interest, the setup is easy, you just have to assign the axes to your sim.
7:27 if I didn’t know I would think it’s irl
Very nice cockpit!!!! Can you tell me the name of the song an 10:42? is this from youtube ?
Simply Awesome!!! How did you connect the 3 projectors together? What hardware and software did you use?
