Two things: Few people understand just how difficult it is to climb a mountain of shifting sand and 2) It's nice to know there's somebody besides me who used an expensive tripod as a hiking stick. Beautiful.
Your mastery of post processing is something I wish I could emulate. The black and white portrait oriented photo of the dune mid way through this video is amazing.
Fantastic video this week. It didn't look like you had too many problems with heat shimmer. Excellent shorts thanks for sharing look forward to the next one 📷👍
Beautiful! Thanks so much for the reminder that a sky is not always necessary in an image, I need to remember that more often when I'm out shooting and pay more attention to try and capture the details of a scene.
Really enjoying this trip to the Gobi and that second last image works really well with the ridge lines and the repeating lines and curves. I also really liked the monochrome image. Please continue showing RAW before and afters; it gives a fuller picture of what has to be done from time to time.
Its not that simple to find a good balance in such a landscape. I find you succided very wel. No negative spaces. Wel balaced photo’s. I love them. Thnx
Exquisite photos. Thanks for showing the unprocessed images as well. Even though you had to do more processing than usual, you didn't over do it. They look like I would expect the dunes to look, only more beautiful.
Wow- those intimate pattern shots are gorgeous Adam! They look so sculptural and abstract, just beautiful. You just proved that the most important piece of equipment a photographer can have is what is inches behind the viewfinder. You gotta have that eye to compose beauties like these.
I have loved this China series, the shots of the dunes are breathtaking and you have really elevated the mood and vastness of the area. Wonderful Adam, thank you.
Bloody brilliant. So much to like about this. Love how you rotated the photos to make it look like they were spiraling into a dark hole. But really love the photos and man, how lucky are you to get to eat instant noodles for dinner! So jealous. ;)
Hi Adam, new to your videos and enjoying every one of them! I live in Hong Kong and you'er inspiring me to explore my own 'backyard', thank you for sharing! I have no idea why Gavin calls you Mr Grumpy...you are not at all :)
Thought I was on the wrong channel with all the heavy breathing at the beginning! Outstanding images of the dunes Adam, they possess a certain sensuous - almost anatomical beauty you captured perfectly!
Would love to see more RAW vs Processed comparisons for more of your and others work - to often aspiring noobs like myself just see the final processed image vs our own unprocessed similar subject images and get completely uninspired in the process - really helps to understand how much of the shot is in the finishing !!
I believe this is the happiest I have seen you in any of your videos! Great light and an almost unlimited selection of compositions. It shows in the quality of the images and the video. We may have to remove the title of Uncle Grumpy for this one . Congrats
Great shots mate, there is definitely no problem with the processing you have done it think its a must, so long as it is not adding things that are not there, or composites. I have no problem with them so long as they are regarded as digital art and not landscape.
I love photographing dunes - just not the process of cleaning your lens and tripod afterwards! When traversing big dunefields like this I find it helps to use trekking poles with snow baskets on them, and carry my tripod strapped to my backpack.
All the images were beyond great but the shot at 11:45 and the one just after were on another level! Absolutely brilliant Adam. I love coming to your channel. It always puts me in a good mood and relaxes me to watch your videos and see the amazing photography. Thank you for sharing with us Adam.
I loved all of the photos you shared in this video, Adam. However, I will admit to loving the pattern shots from the beginning of the video more than the dune shots towards the end. All of them were fantastic.
Simply beautiful! I think that the flat light situations with the increased contrast are better in black and white. Well done - I assume that Thomas Heaton will give you also a thumbs up 👍🏻 for the clean(ed) photos 😉
Adam... You are most fortunate to be able to immerse yourself in this part of the world. You have become masterful in light & shadow details to a point of creating symmetry in your photographs. I feel inspired to take a drive over to the Maine coast for a couple of days of shooting beach sand & perhaps some lighthouses if it presents itself. BUT, first I have about 7 cords of firewood to buck up, split & stack for next winter after spending this winter, about (7 months) bldg a workshop & laundry room in the b/ment. I do feel inspired to pick up the camera once again, nevertheless! Best, Bill, Vermont, USA... :~)
It was really great to see your RAW files transition into the processed images, and yes, you were definitely right to clone out the scrub. The images are beautiful.
I liked the black n white dune pic very much... it has nice soft yet enough details to it.... last two are awesome... and the one eith triangular shaped dune
Must have been hard to narrow down the selection of shots from such an amazing location. The mix of shapes and textures from the various dunes is mindblowing, could look at these shots all day.
Incredible images Adam, looks like you were shooting killer shots left and right in Gobi. Many of those shots are so painting-like, ready to go on a wall.
Such an excellent vlog with superb image choices. I have no problem with your pleasing pp/manipulation; it's to my taste and I do enjoy your gentle teaching...wonderful work!
Your photography, which is stellar, is matched only by your amazing video productions. The music, imagery, and video quality is all top notch and always a satisfying watch. Thank you for your work Adam!
Great shots all but my fav was the one at 11:37 of the dunes. I've been to White Sands Nat Monument in New Mexico and Great Sand Dunes NP in Colorado but they were not nearly as huge as the Gobi Desert. Amazing place. And your processing was spot on!
Great shots! I think you did nothing more electronically then change the hardness of the paper and dodge and burn and adjust the ‘film’ you are using. Whether analog or digital this has always been done!
Beautiful photos Adam, love your videos man. You Gavin, Thomas H, Nigel D, Simon B are all so excellent at what you do.. very inspiritional. Got me hooked on landscape photography
Very nice video Adam, the Gobi seems wonderfully peaceful and calm. This is in direct contrast to my preconceived impression of the desert. Thanks for altering my preconception. Cheers

Glad that you got great shots with no trees around !
Enjoying the soundtrack works well with the landscape.
What a spectacular place to shoot and what amazing photos. The leading line photo is definitely a keeper.
The second last image is too good to be true! Congrats!
Fantastic video this week. It didn't look like you had too many problems with heat shimmer. Excellent shorts thanks for sharing look forward to the next one 📷👍
Awesome photography, your textures are breathtaking 😃👍🏻👍🏻
Never thought of the Gobi desert as a place to go, but now.....excellent work Adam.
Awesome patterns. Brilliantly captured.
Beautiful! Thanks so much for the reminder that a sky is not always necessary in an image, I need to remember that more often when I'm out shooting and pay more attention to try and capture the details of a scene.
Absolutely beautiful video, photos and place 😃

I can see this as an exhibition including your timelapses.
Really love those photos.
Exquisite photos. Thanks for showing the unprocessed images as well. Even though you had to do more processing than usual, you didn't over do it. They look like I would expect the dunes to look, only more beautiful.
Outstanding images and fabulously entertaining video.
Just beautiful images, thanks for sharing.
You may have the next LPOY Contest in the bag with these images!
Thank you again for sharing those images!
Beautiful video and images mate👍🏻 what a fantastic part of the word
Great video again Uncle G , stunning images as always
Amazing place. Someday! Thanks Adam.
Great images and thanks for sharing the RAW file as well as the finished images, top vlog
Spectacular Adam!
I have to agree with your choice of favourite - what a stunning image! Cant wait for your next video :)
brilliant adam just simply stunning
Excellent shots.
Outstanding work Adam
Saturday morning delight for me.
Wow- those intimate pattern shots are gorgeous Adam! They look so sculptural and abstract, just beautiful. You just proved that the most important piece of equipment a photographer can have is what is inches behind the viewfinder. You gotta have that eye to compose beauties like these.
Absolutely fantastic images on this trip and these in particular. Not often moved to comment on UA-cam videos, but you are a cut above, Adam.
I have loved this China series, the shots of the dunes are breathtaking and you have really elevated the mood and vastness of the area. Wonderful Adam, thank you.

I do like noodles
Great video, Adam! Lots of great veeeeee groooooves all around! Great stuff
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you very much
Lovely images for me you do the best work of all the Loggers I watch keep it up :)
Spectacular images...those silky smooth dunes with razor sharp curved edges...wow
Hi Adam, new to your videos and enjoying every one of them! I live in Hong Kong and you'er inspiring me to explore my own 'backyard', thank you for sharing! I have no idea why Gavin calls you Mr Grumpy...you are not at all :)
Lovely Images

Image at 7:34 almost appears to have a side view of a head...awesome photos
First class , i found it very creative, making me think what pictures i could get among the sand dunes down Cornwall on my next trip in a few weeks .
Wonderful Adam! thanks
I love photographing dunes - just not the process of cleaning your lens and tripod afterwards!
When traversing big dunefields like this I find it helps to use trekking poles with snow baskets on them, and carry my tripod strapped to my backpack.
Actually these dunes where not too hard to climb, Im just out of shape, haha. Cheers, Jon!
These images invoke such tranquility. Thank you
Fantastic vlog.
Beautiful images. You are the master at making art out of chaos.
I thought this wouldn't be interesting when I read the vlog title.
Man, was I wrong. Fascinating !
Lovely photos, Adam and that favourite shot is just sublime. The last little peak as it disappears into the background is just perfect.
Thank you very much for sharing. Beautiful photos.
All the images were beyond great but the shot at 11:45 and the one just after were on another level! Absolutely brilliant Adam. I love coming to your channel. It always puts me in a good mood and relaxes me to watch your videos and see the amazing photography. Thank you for sharing with us Adam.
Sensational images Adam - loved that black & white
The lighting is beautiful, looks like layers or folds of fabric. I would have a difficult time picking just one as my favourite.
Adam….. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC PHOTOS!!!!!
Wow! stunning images! I wonder how did you manage changing lenses in such dusty environment?
just turned my back to the wind, not a big problem.
I loved all of the photos you shared in this video, Adam. However, I will admit to loving the pattern shots from the beginning of the video more than the dune shots towards the end. All of them were fantastic.
Having worked in a desert environment 40yrs ago, I really enjoyed watching your video and seeing the stunning images that you managed to capture 😎
Simply beautiful! I think that the flat light situations with the increased contrast are better in black and white. Well done - I assume that Thomas Heaton will give you also a thumbs up 👍🏻 for the clean(ed) photos 😉
Great video and wonderful images Adam. Loved the last 2 images. Many thanks for sharing
Another super collection of abstract captures Adam. That last image had similarities to human body form.
Stunning geometric lines. Love it.
Epic landscape and epic images! What else can you say? Great work Adam. You finally found a location that can't be duplicated in British Columbia!
Stunning location with images to match!
Stunning images yet again Adam. Thanks for sharing.
Gorgeous

You, Sir, had my rapt and unwavering attention on this one. RESPECT due...

The second to last photo is beautiful! I would see it printed very big in my living room! Great video as always! Cheers
Adam.
I get a sense of a "bas-relief" when viewing these shots.
My eye rests gently on them.
Thank-You,
Mike
omg, so beautiful
Must have been hard to narrow down the selection of shots from such an amazing location. The mix of shapes and textures from the various dunes is mindblowing, could look at these shots all day.
Incredible images Adam, looks like you were shooting killer shots left and right in Gobi. Many of those shots are so painting-like, ready to go on a wall.
Epic!
Very nice indeed. It’s amazing that one can find such graphic and pronounced lines in nature. Cheers
Fantastic stuff Adam - thank you so much for taking us with you through youtube.

Amazing indeed . Your favorite photo is stunning. Will love to see how you edit it. Thanks for sharing .
Spectacular.
I don’t expect a reply, but to know you read these comments makes me appreciate you as a human as well as an artist. Kudos to you. Thank you.
Stunning stuff as usual Adam. You took full advantage of a great location. Two thumbs up from Texas.

So beautiful💜I've been in the Gobi desert some 5yrs ago. It felt like being back. The music is so well suited. Many thanks Adam
Absolutely beautiful! Were you not able to take your drone?
Beautiful photos Adam, love your videos man. You Gavin, Thomas H, Nigel D, Simon B are all so excellent at what you do.. very inspiritional. Got me hooked on landscape photography
Very nice video Adam, the Gobi seems wonderfully peaceful and calm. This is in direct contrast to my preconceived impression of the desert. Thanks for altering my preconception. Cheers
Excellent! ...and juicy. ;-) I love seeing both raw and processed versions of your shots. Also, your video transitions between images are great.
Hi Adam, great series so far love the last 2 images, but the first of the 2 is my fav.
Adam, this images are stellar. Looking forward to the next vidoe about the Gobi desert.
I ratify... you are the best!! congratulations.
