You are the only one, among the channels i watch, that does not afraid to show us the RAW files, that is so great, i do like the photographers who use post proccessing, only to amplify the beauty of the enviroment they capture and not to create something that was never real, that is truly photography for me.
My bad, Namibia, not Manibia. Also, all of the drone footage was from my good buddy Alister Benn ua-cam.com/channels/ILI7Qu2dfTE0iWHGvIPwqA.html . The car sequence at the very beginning was from Jenny Hui.
I love that you don't overwork your images. As a beginner landscape photographer, I see so many other photographers turning their images into something that wasn't really there when they captured them. Your images have a truth and integrity about them that you don't see all the time. Looking forward to learning more from your work.
Adam - your video presentations have evolved into one of the best landscape photography vlog on UA-cam. You are not afraid to show the raw version next to your processed version. That makes for an informative as well as interesting video. You are the master of composition and your descriptions of your thought process remains to be the best part. I must admit that I was getting a bit car sick watching your lead in on this video. Ha
Doug! Thanks so much. Perhaps I should've passed around the puke bags, lol. That's exactly how it is though driving those dunes, don't forget the Gravol, lol.
Boy... Those sand dunes were just out-of-this-world stunning. All the images were great, but the beauty of those sand dunes was almost mind bending... Tremendous content, as always.
Stunning location Adam, the colours of the sand were gorgeous. It reminded me a little of Namibia (although I also have never been). At first glance, the trees didn't look like much however I loved their shape and texture against the backdrop of the sand dunes. Blurring the grasses in the foreground was a very effective technique. Another sensational adventure, thanks for sharing mate!
Have been absolutely captivated by this series. Was already very eager to do some dune photography. This series has completely cemented it. Wonderful and inspiring! Thank you!
Hello Adam, the last two images are a spectacular example of your skill to turn virtually any lighting conditions to good advantage. Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic image in the end. To me it doesn't matter that is processed. It is processed in a way to show us the thing you wanted us the see, that beautiful blue color. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work Adam! In my opinion your Channel is the benchmark on Landscape Photography by now.
Your images are simply brilliant. I'm also a fan of minimalism and also agree, blurring the foreground on the tress made a great difference. Cheers and thank you for your great work.
Thanks again Adam giving us beautiful tree from remote area facing tough journey and condition. The photos come out like Chinese / Japanese painting with artistic merit.
I don't know why but the photographs of the trees left me quite literally breathless. Something about the color of the leafless trees and sand and the silvery dunes - could almost hear the silence. Brilliant
Great images! The tree comps are almost eerie, in a cool way. I'd definitely say cottonwoods. Love those last dune shots! Nicely done, and what a magnificent region.
What a fabulous set of images Adam. I just love them (even better than the trees in Namibia , not Manibia:-). The overall brown colour palette suits the images so well. Thanks for sharing the Raw and the edited versions too.
I've watched just about all your videos now and have really enjoyed them. This one however blew me away. Great images, almost like meditation watching these. Fast becoming my favourite photographer to watch on any platform. Best wishes from NZ.
Absolutely stunning video! I am enjoying all your videos so much that I am staying on the treadmill way too many minutes. Never been getting in such good shape, thanks to you.
Just outstanding. The videos from the Gobi have been awesome and I am in love with your tree images. They look like an alien landscape. How those trees come to be in such an arid place is truly a beautiful thing. Nature at its finest.
That's crazy ,man.i'm an amateur photographer in China.i'm always shocked by the ambition and creation of guys like you. I' m a college student, expecting to shoot with you one day!
Inspiring footage and photography. Amazxing images. Really enjoyed the aerial shots driving over the dunes and the extreme telephoto images of the dunes are something else :)
Love seeing your raw shots followed by your edit. I’m still learning to look beyond the big vista. I have a lot to learn. Your vlogs are inspiring, keep them coming.
That single tree in the desert is stunning bit I wish you had cloned out the broken stump to the left cos without it, I think it's near perfect. Sublime light.
Felt like you were on Mars. Very surreal and almost like a sci-fi of what the future of the world holds. Scary to imagine. But the vlog was amazing and the photos were absolutely incredible. The 1st few minutes looked all CG (Computer Graphic) but I know it isn't lol. I was looking for tire tracks etc. Very cool. This video really moved me. Haunting and entertaining. Thanks always, Adam.
The trees and sand dunes are like one, a combination that suits each other perfectly, captured beautifully. Your last set of images moved me the most. Being aware of unique opportunities that fall outside of one's expectations and then creating something special with an understanding of light, form and composition that most would completely miss. A great episode. Thanks for sharing.
Stunning work, Adam. The gorgeous coppery tones in the desert, the wonderful images of the 5 trees and the amazing dune photography, I think, represent some of your finest work. Fantastic.
Those drives across the sand dunes are really dizzying, even to watch on the screen. Kudos to those drivers. Loved the almost monochromatic feel of the tree shots. Lovely compositions as always. And oh, by Manibia, you mean Namibia, right?
Beautiful work. This is now the only channel I watch on UA-cam. I don't really need to watch "how" to do something as I find the fun is discovering that for myself, although the occasional Photoshop tutorial comes in handy, but they're everywhere when you need them. What I do like is the mini journeys you take us on, most likely to places we may never get to see ourselves, and how you talk about the light. Since watching your shows I have been inspired to make more effort in my own photography, and it has been an instant success. Where I was lazy before, hoping to get great shots just from taking a walk somewhere during the day, I now set my alarm early and get to these same places at dawn, and when before I couldn't be bothered to travel a little further to capture a moment I'd always thought would be good, I now make a little more effort in getting to these places and actually capturing these moments. Thank you for delivering something a little different and helping me see the light.
Those first 2 dune shots are gorgeous, but I really loved the work you did with the trees. Surreal, and an almost post-apocalyptic feel to those images. The music choice accentuated that feeling as well. Kudos on another superb video.
Really liking all of your Gobi images Adam. I particularly like the reserved processing. These trees really pop out, and the blurred foreground works a treat.
Absolutely loved the video Adam. Your tree images are superb, the brown tones lovely, in fact I though you'd created that effect in post until I saw your raw files. The dune image at 11:14 is exquisite. What I love about the dune images is the gold colour of the bright areas and the blue of the shadow areas. It is interesting that you accentuated this gold/blue colour with the graduated filter rather than the split tone tool in LR. Please don't come home yet. 😢
Loved all the tree images from the desert. They really popped with that sand dunes background! And the desert images at the end were really awesome! Great work!

Good to hear, I'll probably do more of this as it seems to be something that many viewers like, thanks!
@@QuietLightPhoto indeed, what this guy says!
Yes, I really like that too!

If you like the Gobi, you will love Namibia.
Made me giggle!!
@@JonGibbsPhotography Yup me as well!

The tree photos look like real versions of your sand pattern shots. Magnificent work.
Boy... Those sand dunes were just out-of-this-world stunning. All the images were great, but the beauty of those sand dunes was almost mind bending...
Tremendous content, as always.
Not focus stacking was definitely the right call. Great images. You channeled your inner Baxter.
Your mastery of visualisation composition, and enhancing editing are a joy to watch.
Wow those tree images are just stunning…some of my all time favourite images of yours 👍🌟👏👏👏
That opening sequence was amazing!
Stunning location Adam, the colours of the sand were gorgeous. It reminded me a little of Namibia (although I also have never been). Thanks so much Andrew! If you ever get a chance to visit you should, fantastic location for sure, cheers!
Those images of trees.....breathtaking!
Have been absolutely captivated by this series. Was already very eager to do some dune photography. This series has completely cemented it. Wonderful and inspiring! Thank you!
Those last few images of the dunes are fantastic! 👌
Its an absolute joy to see your videos and the way you take your viewers through them. A treat to watch your images :)
Hello Adam, the last two images are a spectacular example of your skill to turn virtually any lighting conditions to good advantage. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful image! And I agree with you, that the last few with the cool tones in the background and warm tones in the foreground are just spectacular.
Sometimes a tree and a some sand make all the difference. What a treat it must have been to be there.
I would never tire of your Gobi images. So serene and Quiet Light seems ever more fitting. Thank you, Adam.
Those sepia tones!! OMG

Brilliant! So surreal - almost like false color infrared. Beautifully processed! Really appreciate you showing the raw files as well. Thanks.
Incredible vlog. The tree shots are magnificent. I couldn’t stop saying Wow through the whole video.
All the wonderful accolades says it all Adam , just wonderful to watch
Wow. The tree shots were special... worth the trip out there.
Outstanding work Adam. The first image is a ripper! Very surreal.
Wow! Freaking desert roller coaster! Nice ride. Now I have to sit down.

Beyond beautiful. Lifetime achievement!

Images at the end are peerless. Wonderful!

That was really great work and the first solo tree image was pretty much magic!!
Stunning images of those trees 👍
Wot no waterfalls..... Those tree images are stunning. Top work again Adam.
Ah, but I did find some trees lol.

Imagine how I felt :-)
Brilliant work !! You put all the elements together and just nail it. This reminds me of Chinese paintings and sketches I have seen.
In one word - SUPERB.
Absolutely brilliant, Adam! Great video and stunning photographs. Thanks for sharing.
Breathtakingly beautiful images, Thank you!
Amazing photos of those trees, they are stunning.
Stunning images Adam. What a place! 👍

Amazing shots Adam, I love your photo trips.
Killer images Adam! Thanks for sharing your journey.
Fantastic Adam. Thanks for sharing the transformation of your photos.

Fantastic images and vid, Great pastel colours on the tree shots and fab pp on the last 2 . Awesome Adam.
Beautiful images. Very much enjoyed your description of how you took these photos. Thanks

Really beautiful images.
Great shots Adam!
Awesome images of the trees.
Amazing photos from China 2019, I thought the processing was excellent, subtle but effective, which is an art in itself
Your trees are stunning! I must go and find them.

Job done, thanks for the positive feedback!
Lovely images, just peaceful and soothing. Good choice of music for these images.
That opening segment was somehow reminescent of watching the moon rovers videos from the 70s
Love what you did with the foreground interest. Pure genius! And I love the whole scenery as well. Really hope I get to see it one day.
Thanks, Jani!
Very surreal, love the trees!

Saxaul tree (Haloxylon sp.) Loving this trip man, thanks for taking us along and giving us excellent content.
No, I don't think so, these trees had leaves that looked very much like a cottonwood. Thanks, Nev!
