This is the first video from a recent trip to China. Photographing the landscape, Huangshan, China. What can I say? Chinese artists have been inspired by these mountains for centuries and their art proves that this area has a special place in the hearts of the Chinese people. As I mention in this video over and over Huangshan is a spectacular location that almost doesn't seem real.

You are forgiven Adam, but don't let it happen again! :~)
Lost for words, except Wow ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you, impresionant Mountaines, beautiful and strog TREES. 😀😍
Huang San view during :
Spring, Summer & Autumn : 100% Gorgeous, Magnificent & Stunning!!!
Winter : 1,000% Gorgeous Magnificent & Stunning!!!
Fantastic images...remind me of the iconic Chinese paintings of misty mountains....
Totally agree, Mt huangshan is a magical place, like no other in the whole world 🌎. How I wish I can go there again ❣️❣️❣️ loved your video.
Well that place just looks magical. I love the frosty trees clinging to the fog shrouded mountains, all contrasting beautifully with the warm cliff faces. The climb on your last day was well worth it!
Those pine trees in Huang shan yells for Simon and his camera.
@@tonyaustiola3127 They certainly do
You would really enjoy the woodland there, not so much the crowds though, lol. Don't let the video deceive you, haha.
@@tonyaustiola3127 Cheers, Tony! Maybe one day :)
@@QuietLightPhoto Haha, yeah the crowds would be very different to what I'm used to :)
Breathtakingly beautiful!
I like how you’ve made it look so peaceful and devoid of people. I’d imagine the reality is very different.
Great landscape which I’m sure you could spend months exploring properly.
Yes, it does get busy, much worse in the summer I suspect.
Adam Gibbs judging by your images I feel winter is the time to visit anyway. Great job as usual.
Stunning photos what an amazing place certainly would love to visit
That shot at 12:50 with the peak on the left and all the peaks+fog on the right... SO good!
Tremendous. I can see why you are World Landscape Photographer of the Year! You deserved it.
Adam, there are some really lovely pictures in this video!
Speechless...what a beautiful place!
Thanks Adam, for sharing this mystical part of the world & your incredible work!
You should be endorsed by the area for making it look so incredibly beautiful. Wonderful video and photos Adam.
It is absolutely beautiful there watching the clouds flow over the mountain peaks standing watching the scenery, when i was there i took to few photos was to busy just looking hope to go back on my next trip to china
Absolutely incredible, so dramatic and beautiful!
I've never really thought of China as a place to visit for photography but, these images are just awesome! Great video Uncle Grumpy!
Thanks !This is my hometown !
Love your photos, especially the light processing; make them very close to the feeling of traditional Chinese shangshui painting
I really loved visiting Yellow Mountain. Your photos make me want to go back. Thank you for sharing your experience and fantastic photos.
absolutely breath taking photos. Thanks for taking the time to shear them Adam
what a shots, oh man this is so beautiful
Brilliant!...lovely images...so many beautiful places in China from my experience.
What a beautiful place! It is like a hidden treasure.
Beautiful images Adam, love the way the peaks are separated by the fog, almost looking like a mirror image of the ones in front, subed
Some of your photos of the mountains in the snow and fog look like the old Chinese ink paintings of that area come to life. They are beautiful and every bit as artistic as those old paintings. I'm positive the ancient Emperors would have loved them and made you Court Photographer. From what you have shown, I could easily spend an entire vacation right there. Nice to finally see the mysterious and lovely Karen too.
Beautiful place, beautiful images.
Wow scenery, somewhere ive wanted to visit for a long time. Great video. How on earth will you enjoy the more mundane scenery of the rest of the world after taking photos in such a magical heavenly place!!!
Sir, as a Chinese, I have to say HuangShan is a great destination for photography. Since I was very young and knew nothing about photography, I have seen tons of photographers who traveled there and took the images above the cloud. It is one of the most classical spots in China for landscape photography.
I shed a tear at the pure magnificence of the picture at 12:12 . Congratulation for winning the 2019 competition!
Pure talent, Adam! The simple fact that you went to a place you've never been to before, spent just 3 days and still come back with shots like those is a major statement of how talented you are! Thanks for sharing these amazing views and your thoughts with us.
Great job , the snow make huangshan even more fantasy
Spectacular images Adam. I hope you had enough time out from behind the lens to enjoy the stunning scenery. It looked as though you could stay in one spot and get totally different images with the changing clouds and mist. Another bucket list place for me. Thanks
It was fast changing thats for sure, thats part of the reason why I didn't vlog too much, lol.
the shot from 11:53 is simply amazing....
Wow what a stunning location. You must of been in tree heaven
The snowy, foggy, mountainous images are fantastic. Cracking work!
All were breathtaking. I especially loved 12:20 one...the layered diagonal mountains, and the trees in the opening. What a great experience. I have been to China but now see that I must go back!
Perfect conditions for your recent type of photography!
Very very nice opening and nice to see Karen traveling with you. Once again on of the few that can make a simple tree, any tree anywhere so beautiful photo. Safe travel and thank you as always for traveling.
Adam Gibbs, living my dreams one video after another!
Honestly Nigel every time I see a bonsai tree I think of you, haha. Or mention you to Karin, too funny. I would imagine that you would enjoy this place for sure. Cheers!
Great pictures you took. Can't wait to see the rest of this series.
Thanks, Adam! Really great photos! I also really love the music you used! I recommend go to Huashan (Mountain Hua) in the future. I went there twice and still want to go back there again. It's definitely spectacular and will blow your mind ;-)
Awesome Adam. It was so good to hang out there with you, we had such a cool time. Now I just need to get time to work on my own Vlog from there!!!
Yes, get moving you lazy $%#&^% lol
What an amazing landscape and fantastic photos. Some of the compositions, with the peaks, pines and mist, remind me of classical Chinese watercolors, but with high photographic resolution and subtle detail enhanced through your post-processing.
Wow! Stunning images full of atmosphere and mystery! I love the light peaceful feel you gave the images. Thanks for taking us with you..
The image at 12:12 is unbelievable. Great work!
Adam, really love these photos. I am especially fond of the one at 11:50. The cloud separation makes the mountain peaks in the back look like they are floating! Great image!
Wow - fantastic videos and even better still photos. Really great stuff.
Another wonderful video! beautiful place😊
Magnifique, à chaque plan où une nouvelle photo apparait c'est un choc, plus belles les unes que les autres, 16 minutes de bonheur. merci Adam.
Absolutely stunning! Chinese paintings
Not sure what to say Adam, just beautiful! What a fantastic area to shoot and that fog!
oh for sure if you ever get a chance to go, go! it's an amazing place.
Beautiful place and some very good images as usual. Nice complimentary oriental music too.
Fantastic! You are so lucky with the snowy and. Foggy weather
Breathtaking! Great video and photos as always. 👍🏻
Great video Adam! Its refreshing to see some stuff from Asia!
Great to meet Karen on this trip, and what a trip! First image of trees pretty powerful, all the more for not showing the roots. Thanks for sharing your journey as I get to see somewhere I would not otherwise see and your images and videography are always stunning.
Beautiful mate, makes me want to visit even more
Spectacular images, Adam!
omg, omg, thank you, I've gotta go here, so beautiful, thanks mate!!
These images could feed my soul for a lifetime Adam, nothing short of spectacular, well done.
Not hard to see why you were happy with the shots, simply a stunning place with those misty clouds wrapped around the mountains. Great format and Soundtrack to match. Thanks for sharing Adam.
Wow! what an amazing place and stunning images you came away with from there. Love those snow and frost covered pine trees. Really looking forward to see more from this China series. If I was there, it would be hard for me to not run around and photograph everything, and likely come away with mostly so-so images. But you managed to get some absolute awesome images.
No words describe my enchantment of this magic place. Thank you Adam that I could see these breathtaking vistas and your wonderful pictures.🙏👏👏👏
What a master. Thank you for your video.I bought a 5D3 for years and never take any pictures like this...
What a lovely video. Your painterly images from this trip are stunningly beautiful. Wonderful stuff. Thank you for taking us there with you.
Such absolutely amazing photos! I guess it's just about pointing, aiming and shoot :)
Always, lol. It's just that easy folks. Cheers, Mads!
Just as well you two know each other - that comment from Mads could easily be taken the wrong way!
Graham Jones to some degree I think Mads is right, some locations are very easy to photograph as there is just so much great subject matter. Whereas locations like my recent videos from Carmanah are slim pickings and take a lot more effort. Mads is just jealous, hahaha just kidding buddy!
@@QuietLightPhoto - I think we are all a bit jealous! Don't take Fototripper out there, he will have one of his Fotogasms and it could all get quite messy!
Gorgeous Adam. You are truly blessed. Thank you for sharing what most of us will never see
A beautiful vlog at a captivating location. Your images are wonderful. I normally just watch youtube on my phone when I can grab 10-15mins, this vlog was a large TV rewatch, breathtaking! Thanks Adam.
The images and scenery in this video are just out of this world!
Ethereal. Magical. Fantastical. Beautiful!
Enjoyed this vid so much. Visuals were gorgeous and the varying styles gave me some great ideas for family clips. 😁
Hi Adam very nice images quite surreal & thought out complementary music
Just stunning! Another place to add to the long list...
Inspiring and peaceful. Incredible footage. Thank you!
I love the fine art look of many of these images.
This was beautiful Adam... my fav was at 11:50 of the twin peaks in the background! Such depth & size on top of the world looking up at the Stairway to Heaven. How uniquely different the mountains and vegetation are compared to all North America ranges! I can understand how overwhelming and exciting a trip like this can be. We are very fortunate to live in such peaceful times to explore the far corners of our earth without fear of war or most beliefs. Nice to see Karen in a few clips! Cheers 🍻
We are lucky and I must say that the travel advisories to China I think unfounded.
I have been there twice, but, of course, can't get the pictures like yours. Really love seeing your beautiful stunning shoots of Wong Shan or Huangshan in different perspective and look forward to enjoying your next trip in China.
My wife and I have adopted three children from Chine. One of the drawings we brought home looks just like an image you took.
Yet another place added to the evergrowing bucket list. Great images.
Adam these images are incredible. Wonderful atmosphere and ethierial mood you were able to capture. Thank you for sharing!
Excellent video Adam! Beautiful place, on my bucket list.
Adam, I love your photos. I don't usually view a video twice in succession, but this one was very special.
Thank you for another great one, Adam . ;-)
I really enjoyed watching you explore a different environment and how you captured it. You came away with some stunnners! Cheers Adam!
Absolutely stunning Adam.
Stunning Views and photos. Loved the Video to
Well for the record I will just say that I've already saw this video three times. Great work Adam. Tremendous!
Really gorgeous images Adam. Nice work. Thank you.
Too many favorites to choose just one in this series. Loved them all!
Superb Adam, looks to be a an unbelievably beautiful area, love theses images, all in all a great video. 🙂👍
Perfect this for Sunday morning coffee moment. Thank you!
What incredible scenery. Lovely video, thanks for sharing.
Stunning episode Adam! What an incredible place.
Wonderful images! This looks like the trip of a lifetime for you.
More great images Adam and good to see Karen with you on this adventure. There are times when our significant other's are great at spotting a composition that we might miss. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your China series.
Spectacular images! I was a bit upset by the last episode because you showed a beautiful pic from China in the thumbnails and the video didn't even feature it. So I'm happy that this video gives us plenty of your China impressions . 😃
Love this vlog. And oh what stunning images. Great job, my friend.
Extraordinary video (as always) with stunning landscapes!!! Thank you for sharing these wonders!!!
