Once again your skill level has knocked me back. Perfect comic colours, a fantastic use of lighting. You’ve really given this mini a professional look. Absolutely beautiful work. Young sir. If you ever open or do a painting master class, sign me up now. Brilliant Deadpool.
I am just in constant awe at how you paint minis :-) The smoke and flame from the rocket blast is just jaw-droppingly awesome!!!! I don't have this figure yet, but will soon, so will follow this tutorial from start to finish when it comes to painting it when it arrives :-)
Thank you! I guess I just thought it would look nice! I also used some Violet in the red base tone too, so it kind of helps harmonise things when I use a bit of one tone in an adjacent one.. :)
Went back and watched the original zombicide video again (since 2nd edition just got delivered,) "I'm not a professional painter." Might need to edit that part out. As always inspirational work. Thank you for sharing and please stay safe.
@@Sorastro To be fair, your method (only method IMHO) for using quickshade quickly became the industry standard. Also the best way to use contrast which hadn't even come out yet by years. Thank you for everything!
Outstanding work, I swear you’re improving with each video, which is saying something because you’re already on another level! I really wish I had some free time to paint right now.
Really nice job, looks great. I might have to try scale75 at some point, but they look like they behave a bit different to what im used to. so incredibly matte (almost chalky), and do they seem to lose a bit of vibrancy/saturation when they dry? Really nice coverage though by the looks of things, I dont ever see you having to redo a single area with several coats to get a solid finish.
Thanks so much! The Scalecolor paints are quite interesting for sure. It's worth being mindful that each colour varies quite a bit in terms of translucency, so it's worth getting to know which are more opaque and therefor better for using as base colours, and which are more translucent and better for highlights or glazing etc. But I love the range of tones :)
hey mate this caracter is really one of my fav .and your paint is really great . the red is really a not easy colour to highlight without be in pinky .i c an t wait to have my deadpool from the marvel united xmen kickstarter to be able to try to get a nice deadpool too. thanks for your video once again^^.
Perfect timing! I got mine yesterday, mainly for the Taco Truck so I can practice with my new airbrush. However, Deadpool is breaking the fourth wall and tells me to paint him.
I guess I just thought it would look nice, but also because I'd already mixed some Violet into the shadow tone of the red outfit, and I sometimes like to use "common tones" to help unify/harmonise the colour scheme. 🙂
Amazing reds on that fella. The speculative highlights really pop comic book style. Blades are top drawer too. Would you consider putting some yellow shade OSL on the areas of grey smoke facing the rocket flame?
Thanks a lot mate! Your certainly could add some OSL to the smoke; I guess I thought it might end up looking like fiery light coming from within the smoke.. 🙂
Beautiful work as always. I've been using Scale Colour quite a bit recently, but I've got to say it's been hit and miss. The browns, reds and greys have all been great, but the blues and greens just will not mix despite vigorous shaking/using an agitator/stirring - bit frustrating.
Thank you! I find using an agitator plus shaking like your life depends on it does the trick, but they can be tough to get to mix properly for sure... :)
Love it, though I will have to wait, latest news is an August release in Australia. Still waiting on the Inhumans that have been on order since January :(
Thanks Adam! Yes, the shipping delays can be frustrating for sure (especially I imagine for Atomic Mass Games!). I don't mind too much though as I've got a huge backlog of minis to paint as it is..! :)
@@Sorastro haha, too true, my paint pile is huge, but Crisis Protocol is my only current regular game and loving trying out all the characters. All current figures are painted and 90% of my terrain. Keep up the glorious woke and I may finish Imperial Assault and actually start on Legion
Hi Chris! I think I'd like to spend a bit more time with them before giving a final judgement, but so far I find they have a really nice "snap" to them, but the points don't quite match those of the Series 8 that I normally use... :)
You have the single best miniature painting channel on UA-cam. Hands down. How do you thun your paints mate? You always manage to thin perfectly so they flow well but still maintain good coverage. Do you use flow improver in place of pure water?
That's very kind - thank you Tom! These days I thin with water mixed with a little Flow Enhancer (I use the Daler-Rowney one). The Flow Enhancer really helps a lot - especially with the Scalecolor paints :)
@@Sorastro Awesome thanks for the advice! Just watched your Crisis Protocol scenery upload and the free hand work on the World's End is flawless - I drive past that pub every day! Was surprised to see that and the Dice Saloon!
Hi! You can simply prime in grey (with a rattle can), or if you want zenithal highlights you could prime in black then give a quick spray of white from above. 😀
@@Sorastro ah, ok! in the video it looked a little like they were two pieces. but your paintjob is 100% on point, as always. really love the mini and love even more what you have done with it. your non metallic metal effects are just insanely perfect.
Step one when making videos on Marvel miniatures: have a last name that makes you sound like a Marvel supervillain. His super ability is painting related, obviously.
Man... this paintjob is so neat that at first I thought the "FWOOSH" was actually an effect added in post.... Sorastro keeps raising that bar!!!

Did you thin the fluorescents? With water? I’ve been trying to use Vallejo’s fluorescents and can’t figure out how.
Hi! I just thin with water (plus a little flow enhancer) 🙂
One more question…why did you mix Violet into the Brown Leather to paint the leather. It looks great, but I don’t understand color enough to know why.

"Anthracite" is spoken with a soft c ("anthra-site"), unless you're using the original Greek "anthrakítēs." It's a type of coal.
