Of Course, nothing quite screams Happy Holidays like a Mephisto paint tutorial by the Maestro. Nicely done. Coincidentally Mephisto is in line to be the next Secretary of Education in the US.
These videos are such a fine advertisement for these models. While this character doesn't belong in my collection, the painting process looked fun and the finished product is absolute Aces.
I don't own this model nor this game, but i love your tutorials regardless. Please keep posting, i love watching these to apply to future paint schemes!
A mini that is basically one color and looks absolutely fabulous! Also great poster on the wall for this mini to pose next to. I really appreciate all the little details and extra work you put in your videos. Happy holidays, I hope you get to rest with your loved ones after such a productive but also tumultuous year for you. All the best!
I love your content, and watching you has really, like REALLY, helped me improve my own painting. I have tried the OSL you did on Doc Ock, and although not great, it gave me a taste of how it is done, and how I could do it better for next time. I also tried your Ultron painting scheme, but I think I was overconfident on that one. Please continue this series. You are informative and a pleasure to watch. I have painted 13 minis from MCP now, and I find myself getting a little bit better with each one, and you are a part of that success. Thank you. I wish you happy holidays and look forward to more videos.
One more time super inspiring!!! Thx a lot and happy new year to you Sorastro! I begin my work on the Tomb of Dracula with your video before chain with Mephisto!
I AM THE GOD OF HELL FIRE, AND I BRING YOU...ahem. Sorry, wrong song! I was wondering how you'd pull off contrasting the various shades of red, here, and I'm not surprised how well you did it. I keep falling into the same trap of highlighting reds with warm colors and this gave me a good poke in the opposite direction. I especially liked how you framed the face with the hair highlights, too. Well done as usual, sir! I always find your explanations of color theory inspiring, and one of these days I'll get a better handle on NMM courtesy of your inspiration too. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Sorastro: You constantly inspire me to paint! I'm a full-time dad with 2.5 jobs and a basement of grey minis. Any spare time I have is aged "healing factor" time. What advice do you have for instilling superhuman level discipline? *Asking for a friend.
Thank you, sir! It can be tough for sure. I'd suggest focusing on a single game you want to play with painted minis, and just paint one mini at a time. Your end-game reward will be to enjoy playing the game once everything is painted! 😀
