Good grief, you make NMM look so effortless! I'm having a terrible time getting my head around the notion and how to place my highlights and shadows correctly for maximum contrast. He looks fantastic, excellent work as usual, sir!
Thanks a lot buddy! I generally try not to over think things when working on NMM effects tbh; as mentioned in the video, for the helmet it seemed sensible to have a primary bright highlight kind of at the top (as you might expect if outdoors), but then I really did just freely play around with the other, secondary highlights and reflections, just looking for something that pleases my eyes :)
“a touch of superglue by Gorilla” I appreciate how thoughtful you are with your wording. The takeaway for the viewer is you need superglue, any superglue; if you’d said “Gorilla Glue” someone out there might think they need that brand specifically. Anyway just wanted you to know little touches like that do not go unnoticed! :)
I'm not into MCP, but, I've pledge on Marvel zombies and I think I'll use your techniques as reference on these models once they arrive. Always a pleasure to watch. Thanks Mark !
Would you ever consider doing a general video tutorial around using Scale Color and Scale Color Artist paints? This could cover things like thinning down the paints, the application of said paints, and the work time they provide? I'm a big fan of their matte finish, but haven't used them yet as a lot of people speak of the big differences from them to other paints.
Hi! I offer some tips on using the Scalecolor paints in this video which you might find helpful: ua-cam.com/video/qW0fpSkgwLA/v-deo.htmlsi=L_C-tXQmrKSrY85- 🙂
It's always so fun to see what you paint up next. Seeing how far you've come since the days of "Rick from Zombicide" is awesome and inspiring. Keep them coming.
I'm currently working on my own Juggernaut! Can't wait to see how you did the metallics. Love the model so much. Extremely dynamic. You do it serious justice as always. Love the channel!
Amazing! This a superb guide for anyone painting leather. There was a shot of Cable with embers in his cloak. That was a stunning effect and I would love to see a video on him in the future.
Congrats pal! Beautiful painting and progress. It is really interesting to see in these cases how your painting process has become more complex, back and forth, showing a more artistic approach.
Thanks a lot Rafael! I do enjoy going to town on the larger miniatures like this where there's plenty of room to really play with the textures and lighting etc. :)
Wow…… I mean. It’s incredible! I wish I could afford to hire you to paint all the Marvel Zombicide minis when they come next year. Haha. It’s incredible what you created here!
Me: "Man, NMM is so hard" Sorastro: "hold my beer..." No joke Mark!!!:) Such a great video!!!:) I bought 2 sets of those Scale 75 tubes (SO EXP here in Australia) and I don't think I've seen anyone using them more than for spot details! This was a really cool video to see them at work... I'll give those a crack this weekend:)
Thanks for the tutorial! I notice you don't have an affiliate link up for the electric hobby drill you use--that's something I'm interested in getting and it'd be nice to kick a bit to you for the recommendation.
Wow! Just beautiful... I actually play MCP but I'd love to see you do a few of the characters from the Batman Miniatures Game just as a comparison. Anyway, keep up the great work! Cheers!!!
Beautiful work as always! Quick question. If I were to 3d print a dragon diorama from loot studious and send it to you free of charge. Would you make a video of you painting it? You can keep the models as well. Just curious if you do things like that. I’ve printed the 75mm version of the December package dragons and base if you wanna look at them. I would not do this in 75mm again, as it took nearly 200 hours just to print, plus another week to assemble. 32mm would be the size. If not no worries. Keep up the great work, your awesome!
Absolutely love what you did with the reds, but if I were to nitpick I don't love the flesh tones. I'm not sure but I think there's too much contrast between the darks and lights. Might be better in person vs on camera, either way well done and ill subscribe for more.
Thanks Scott! I got mine via Kickstarter. I'm pretty sure they're sold at retail too though; I just need to look into it to check that I can find the same one as I don't want to post erroneous links..! 🙂
@sorastro I love your videos and I love to see the start-to-finish on each segment. I must admit, though, that it’s a bit disorienting for me when there are such start contrasts with the surrounding areas changing. It’s a catch-22 situation.
Im personally not a huge fan of the non-chronological approach, though I see how its probably better if someone just wants to focus on your recipe for different sections. It is just jarring to me to see jumps of progression back and forward all the time. I prefer to see the mini gradually come together. Either way this is wonderfully done as always
Thank you for the kind feedback! I think I feel the same way tbh; it was a bit of an experiment, but I'll be mostly sticking to my standard format going forward. 😀
I agree... Sorasto is without a doubt the best mini painter on UA-cam (in my opinion), but I do think I prefer the chronological approach as well. Had a little more trouble following this one with the different timeline.... But still awesome techniques and skill either way !
i´m a terrible person... i need you to paint dark souls mega boss Gaping Dragon and i'm going to ask you every day until you do it... thanks for so much... i painted my miniatures of bloodrage and descent and star wars legion thanks to your tutorials

Thanks so much buddy! 😀
Without a doubt, my favourite miniature painter. I was wondering if you would be doing any vids for CMON’s Marvel Zombies.
I know I could use some moral support for when I paint that Galactus 😅
Thanks so much! I've not backed Marvel Zombies though; sorry! 😁

I credit almost all of my progress from a really awful painter to a pretty good painter to your video tutorials. Thank you so much for doing these.
That makes me very happy to hear - thank you Jeremy! 😀
I am blown away by the level of detail achieved on this model. Just wow. Well done, and fantastic insight on the process as usual!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the episode 😀
It's been so hard to wait until the new video, thank you teacher
You're very welcome! 😁
Absolutely gorgeous Sorastro 🎉
Thanks so much, buddy! I'm glad you like him 😊
Your videos just keep getting better and better. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked it 😀
would love for you to tackle the. resident evil board game minis.
It's always so fun to see what you paint up next. Seeing how far you've come since the days of "Rick from Zombicide" is awesome and inspiring. Keep them coming.
Thank you mate! I hope you're keeping well 😀
Imagine Sorastro highlighting Lego bricks! I just had to say it!
Damn, you truly have transitioned from expert to master. Just trying to emulate you lift's my painting standard.
Thank you for such a lovely comment! :)

Thank you Aaron! I actually published a PDF guide for Cable some time back: sorastro.com/2021/06/20/cable-pdf-painting-guide/amp/ 🙂

Brilliant work, love what you did with his armor!
Thanks so much! 😀
What I wouldn't pay for a fraction of this man's talent
Thank you kindly! Although it's probably 5% talent, and 95% practice 😁
Thank you for these videos, sir. You are an inspiration!
Thanks so much Jordan! I really appreciate that 😀
incredible job,like always.
Thank you very much Aldo! 😀
Amazing as always!
Thanks a lot buddy! 😀
Wow! Great video, he looks amazing.
Thank you very much! :)
It is always such a joy to watch you painting. Can´t wait to see the next one :)
Thank you so much! 😊
Are you going to make Deep Rock Galactic painting guides when the game comes out later this year? And i love your videos, keep up the good work.
Thanks so much! I'm afraid I won't be painting Deep Rock Galactic though 🙂
@@Sorastro oh no! Now it seems like i need to be... Creative! 😱
Damn, that copper is nice! I'm absolutely going to be trying that out soon
Thanks a lot! It was really fun to do 😀

Yay!
UA-cam allows me to translate "Yay!" Too "Summer!" .
Guess I learned something more than painting techniques today... 🤗
amazing, really love this one.
Thank you sir! 😀
Cheers for another great video Mark! Brilliant work as always! Will you do any more of Kingdom Death Monster minis?
Thanks a lot! Yes, I'm actually planning to cover The Watcher quite soon.. 😀
Thanks for the tutorial! I notice you don't have an affiliate link up for the electric hobby drill you use--that's something I'm interested in getting and it'd be nice to kick a bit to you for the recommendation.
Thanks so much Stewart! I've now added the affiliate link in the video description, and here it is too: amzn.to/347SuhD :)
Begginner question here, does zenithal priming help with this kind of painting?
Hi! Honestly, not much, and you could totally prime in a flat colour 🙂
I'm a huge fan of you
Thank you sir! 😊

Thanks so much! I certainly went for quite a high-contrast, almost stylised look for the skin, which won't be for everyone I'm sure 😁
Juggy’s boots are bigger then Wanda’s whole body! Wow!
Hi love your videos but my min question is there a link for the wow stick
Thanks Scott! I got mine via Kickstarter. I'm pretty sure they're sold at retail too though; I just need to look into it to check that I can find the same one as I don't want to post erroneous links..! 🙂
Thank you
Hey Scott! I've found the correct Wowstick drill on Amazon, and here's the affiliate link: amzn.to/347SuhD :)
Thank you
Do you happen to have Vallejo conversions for those scalecolor paints?
Hi Chris! I haven't actually make time to convert the SC Artist paints yet, sorry 😀
@@Sorastro no worries 😀
I've been waiting for this video to paint my juggs! I'll be starting tonight thank you!.
Awesome, thank you buddy 😀
My dream is to paint like you do 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you my friend; I'm doing my best to share everything I do to help 🤗
@sorastro I love your videos and I love to see the start-to-finish on each segment. I must admit, though, that it’s a bit disorienting for me when there are such start contrasts with the surrounding areas changing. It’s a catch-22 situation.
Thanks Rich! Yes, there are pros and cons to each approach really, but I think I'll be mostly sticking to my usual approach going forward. 😀
Amazing work as always! It seems like you'll be playing brotherhood quite often now since you're only missing an unpainted Sabretooth and Mystique. 😁
Thanks a lot Nic! And I think so too.. 😁
Thank You

But I do love your work. Just not the step by step on this one. ..
Thanks for the honest feedback man! 😀
.
I really don't like this video and how you show what you are doing. I loved the way you did your work and the step by step . Please change it back...
Done! 😁
@@Sorastro sir I really do love your work. You are amazing. Thank you..
