Can a wooden baseball bat roll fenders that same way a professional fender roller with a dedicated fender rolling tool can? We are rolling the fenders on our E36 BMW and while our professional David Pham (mrsexys2k) rolls one side, our resident DIYer Zach Jobe will roll the other side. which side comes out looking better, what do you think?

Not to mention... He's rolling the arch so the liner doesn't need to be cut, you're pushing the metal away from the liner (most liners sit it the bit you are rolling). Just undo a few screws and pop the liner out completely, understand then there's less of an opening for dirt and water to get in... Which will eventually rot your arches out !

Learned a few cool things in this one. But the most important is how much I want one those stools dude had. That’s sick and the prefect height. I usually just sit on the wheel when I take it off but it’s very uncomfortable.

I've seen too many people destroy their fenders to want to do this myself. Even with a fender roller. I'd pay the $300 to not have to pay $1000 in paint work lol

There are many solutions to the fender liner clearance. I normally tuck the liner behind the new fold of the fender. That way you don’t leave a gap between the fender and liner as they did. Maybe in their case it was still gonna run so they had to cut. I’d use a heat gun to reshape the liner edge a bit if possible before I did that, and in some cases like my SRT-10 Ram, you just have to clearance a hole such as the area directly above the tire after doing a MAX front end (without control arm bracket fabrication) 2” drop with stock 22” rims & tires.

The hammering definitely brought back memories of me "rolling" the fenders on my old subaru without heat while outside in the cold for some sketchy wheels I found on craigslist. With just a deadblow.
And let me tell you, you will crack your paint without a heatgun.

My most versatile tool is my Dewalt Angle grinder. The first thing I did, day one when I bought my brand new ‘99 Civic Si is slap some 17” rims on it, drop it 2” and take an angle grinder to the rear quarters. To achieve a 0* camber, there was very little room to even roll. Did the same to wife’s 05 TL within weeks of taking delivery. Just be sure and use touch up paint at the cuts afterwards. Using tape as a cutting guide is a good way to stay straight.

I have done a few methods, pipe/bat, fender roller, papermagazine method.... tbh if you know what your doing with the bat and you raise/lower the coilover accordingly it works pretty good... you usually have to repaint it thou!
