So many great shots in this amazing document. It was a much better, kinder, more leisurely and generous place back then. People dressed up because it was an important day. Thanks for posting.
I was a kid at Disneyland back around 1979 .....the buzz song that summer was the Beach Boys "Goid Timin" and Van Halen "Dance the Night Away."......a simpler time.
Im so happy I was able to enjoy Disneyland back in these golden yrs. People were kind to each other and they had no problem taking their turn and waiting in line before fastpass came and totally ruined the moving flow of the lines. Before greed took over and guest experience was #1 importance.
The Disneyland of my childhood in the 70's and teens in the 80's. Back when people were still kind and considerate towards others, had well behaved children with dicipline. The park was kept pristine at all times with sweepers walking around sweeping up every kernel of dropped popcorn... Cigarette butts too, but even with all the smokers back then it was still cleaner. Many Millenials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha think that there's been nothing but progress and the world is a better place because of it. If only they could understand how wrong they are. How much damage has actually been done, especially socially.
Haha, I always wonder what is it about Disneyland that attracts the most insanely obese people. I’ve always just figured that’s how most of the rest of the country looks outside my bubble in OC. Haha.
Cool story, grandpappy. Crime rates were way significantly higher in the,. 80s,, as was urban blight and drug use. If you want tattoos and green long hair, the Sunset strip in nearby Los Angeles was close by.
But the park has their original rides as before, first time coming this year and some places looks like it should, i think i was in a excursion trip rather than having fun

Couldn't agree more. Thanks for watching my home movie 🎥
This is how Walt wanted it. He would hate it today.😢

@@mackenzierough You're welcome!
I really want peoples to grow back more elegantly with kindness!
Back when there were potentially uncrowded days at Disneyland.
Can you please upload the small world clips with the real live audio
Hi, I originally did but UA-cam gave me a copyright claim! So I deleted it, here it is:- vimeo.com/691726249/f58f338c77

Thanks, It's a home movie shot on Super 8mm film.
Where are the wall to wall people , where it’s a ride just trying to walk around
No crushing crowds, no obesity, tattoos and blue hair. Disneyland was classy back then.
