This was a great watch. Solid video Xolo! The pacing for PVP is very different and can often have many similarities to a speed run. That’s because most of the competitive PvP servers are wiped after a few weeks to a month of time. On no wipe servers or servers with an extended wipe window the experience and pacing can vary greatly though. Servers like these also open the door for more friendly community interaction such as server events like tournaments, castle decorating contest, capture the horse(CTF) and more.
Great video. Something a lot of people who are new to PvP dont know about is the fact that there are servers out there with anti-griefing rules that make it a "punishable" offense to kill players that are lower than ~10 levels unless they attack you first or are in a red zone (a pre-designated zone where anyone can fight anyone, generally an area like brighthaven). This lets you have a much more 'balanced' experience when joining an established server, especially if you're not able to play for tons at a time, or if you aren't familiar with progression strats.
If I ever try pvp I think I would want it to be in a server with people I know more like friendly fights/competition to avoid all the toxicity that might come with other players
Same, I also would disable full loot and and probably castle raids I don't want my castle destroyed but still want the option of fighting other vampires
I think as you lessen the people the experience differs too, in solo your on your own but so are others meaning free for all fight are gonna be more common while with duo/squad are more group fights
I think starting on a freshly wiped server would be the biggest way to change up the experience. I don't think early levels would've been as peaceful and there probably would've been more chaos in general. I think duo pvp might benefit more from spell synergy in fights, though I can't really say for sure. I think solo would probably be very different. It would depend on server settings.
I’m glad you decided to check out PvP it shows the other side of v rising which many pve players don’t ever get to experience because of the occasional toxic players v rising is an amazing game that gives us a choice of how we want to enjoy and experience it Keep up the good content you provide
i think the main difference between the two is how you manage your time when playing, in pve you can take your time and follow any route to progress whereas in pvp if you want to have the advantage over others you have to take the most efficient way of doing things and weighing the pros and cons on every decision you need to do
I'm just sticking to pve for now since i don't want to deal with other players breaking into my castle since I've put a considerable amount of time into building, modifying and extending it, and that's just my first castle. I haven't even finished building my second castle yet.
Great insight on the PvP aspect of the game from a mostly pve player
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching!
knowing the different speedrun tactics will help a lot in pvp especially in the beginning stage to have an advantage
Absolutely. There was some wild theory crafting going on for sure.

Hey, thanks for the comment! It's cool to hear your perspective on how PvP servers work. :)
Nice video concise and on point with the difference
Glad you liked it. :D

Thanks for the info!
the different transformations also have more uses in pvp compared to pve
This is so true, rat and frog form get more use in pvp, spider form also a nice addition in this regard
Getting the move speed boost for wolf form from the stygian altar was crucial when it came to hunting people down and running away.

I still want for there to be a duel feature in a pve server
I always thought they would do something more on the colosseum, maybe like a duel arena or something
That would be nice.
Now you can duel Simon Belmont 😂
you already tried squad pvp do you think a duo pvp would be the same? or does a smaller group would require different strats too?
I think the experience would also feel different in a solo pvp

if you could add a feature/s in pvp both raiding and castle defense what would you like them to add into the game?
Traps would be nice. Preferably ones that only hurt enemies. A lot of the current defense tactics puts everyone in danger, even those defending.

Thanks for watching! I tried my best. It was definitely a very interesting experience.

Fair enough!
