With the completion of my recently released Brutal Mode playthrough, I thought I'd be a good idea to finally get my thoughts out there regarding the question, "Is V Rising Worth It?". This time, for the full 1.0 Version Release.
Not only have I spent 500 Hours playing this game, but this is a V Rising Review After 100% Completion.
I've done everything this game has to offer, and I'm here to let you know whether that experience has been worth it.
Let's get started.

Why does every game have to be forever? The game is great, it has an ending. People are too used to endless shallow content. If you want that experience, mmos and/or games as a service exist.
I hope V rising does add more content but not shallow endless content, but as new DLC or expansion with new areas bosses and more of what makes it good.
Longevity doesn't necessarily mean endless shallow content. Some people want that for sure, but realistically they're not going to get that in most games they play.
As I said in the video, I'm personally more for rotating events, small ones that makes it worth it for people to check in on a 2-5 month basis instead of once a year for a major expansion update. But even then that's a bandage solution.
A game like V Rising needs active servers to thrive, it's a PVE/PVP survival game. If every 2 months after an update drops, servers starts to die off that's a problem for new players wanting to try the game out, and getting put off because of a lack of playerbase. That devs know that too which is why Ruins of Mortium was added.
Honestly though, it's a hard puzzle to solve but I do hope they figure it out. It's a really good game and it'd be a shame to see it die off after a good 2-3 year run.
Great video! You definitely got a sub from me, I'm surprised you don't have more -- this is a very well-written and well-recorded video that really brought me up to speed about the game in a way in which the gameplay trailer simply doesn't.
"THIS IS LUMINENCE"
Is there some kind of new game plus or boss rush?
There are not 8 but 11 types of weapons, though you can only equip 8 at a given time. Spear, Sword, great sword, axes, mace, pistols, bow, crossbow, slashers, reaper and whip.
Brain fart, thanks for correcting! Yes, there's 11 weapon types now. Also I completely forgot the pistols existed, I haven't used them since they were first released.
@@Kaganath they are very good at mid range. I prefer greatsword and whip but i use pistols too in some situations
game has nothing to after once you beat dracula and reach over gear level 90. was fun tho
The problem is finding a server where the player count don't go to zero after two weeks. Early access kind of ruined the full release for this game.
Yeah, this is the longevity problem that I feel has really held back V Rising from being a permanent contender in the genre. It's okay that people want a game to have a fixed start and ending, but realistically for a game like V Rising that needs a playerbase to be at it's full potential, it'd need something to keep players around beyond the initial run.
My server, the one featured in the last video with 30-50 active players, a very lively global chat, and people helping each other out with bosses and doing trades, has now been reduced to 0 active players and will probably stay that way for at least the next month when new players starts joining, but even then it's not going to be as active as launch day.
It's sad, but as it currently is, this is the life cycle of V Rising.
I agree. My server went from a daily large group play to possibly running into if your lucky 2 other players.
oh it's an online game?
pass
Can be played solo, pve or pvp. Solo private servers are offline.
@@Kaganath now that's more like it - interest restored
can't understand why so many channels highlight the online portion of the game and frame it as a live-service title
