Hershel becoming a villain would tarnish Glenn's Memory even more. I am also so over the Maggie Hate.
I can see your point 💯 but it also could show how much of an impact of not having Glenn around, that great guy who learned how to be the voice of reason and morale of the group from Dale and Herschel. It would really show how much Glenn not being there to raise his kid to be a good man, would just make Glenn’s death that much sadder if that’s even possible 😔

I do NOT want to see Negan being bad again...at least, not genuinely. If he has to fake it, that's fine, but I don't want years of redemption and character progression to get flushed down the shitter.
100% agree! He’s come so far. It’s fun to see him turn it on when needed, but I’d hate to see him actually change back to being bad.
He can be the old Negan against the bad guys only. Like when he saved Sasha from rapey Dave.

It could be that the French ports aren't able to be used, pretty sure Madame Genet will block them off, so maybe they have to go south through Spain to make it to the coast. Either way, I'm ready for Carol to wreck shit, I just hope they don't do the Daryl/Carol friction again, cuz I'm over that!
My theory about Laurent is that he’s just really smart, maybe he becomes a scientist. He’s not the cure but maybe could be one of the main people who helps find the cure.
With the Daryl series, all I want is a Daryl/Rick reunion!!! THIS IS ALL I WANT!!!!

In a way, they KINDA already expressed that Laurent being “special” was BS, Isabelle confessed that she told Laurent to draw that picture when she saw Daryl wash up, I think he’s potentially more of like a savant type kid, quick learner that they feel could pick up the important aspects of leadership and logistics quickly

Great content,very interesting ideas, I do like the idea of Daryl going to Spain as it opens up the Walking Dead Universe even more. Not least because I feel it could be another year before we see Rick and Michonne again.

Yes but having Hershel develop a dark character arc is much better than the source material where he became the showman of a wagon with caged walkers and sold tickets to see them like a carnival barker! lol!

If Daryl doesn't find out about Rick returning in S2 then we need Rick & Michonne appearing in S3 to help Daryl & Carol, that would be a reunion we need to see... but Spain, thats a massive detour from where the final ep of S1 ended.
Rick and Michonne are at home raising their kids,they would never leave them to go help grown people,also Andy and Danai are not coming back,y’all need to accept that and move on
Why couldn’t the series just go on. The whole world has changed and I think the show stories could go on forever.
I mean, Star Trek first aired in 1966 and it’s still going strong and this story is based on a new environment.
There is still so much more to learn about how these people move through the world.

During the finale for The Ones who live, there were 2 teasers for season 2 of Daryl Dixon. 1 was a trailer and the other was a clip. It aired during the show Parish.
I am a fan of Daryl & Connie as a couple all day long.
I could totally see Carol holding on to the Rick information because she doesn’t want to force Daryl to think he has to leave but then Daryl finding out and getting pissed.

Wasn’t Spain where the ship that had Daryl on it at the beginning planning on docking in Spain in the first place before Daryl blew up the ship and jumped off the side to the little boat he ends up on as it floated to southern France.
I feel like that world beyond tape of jenner is going to be seen by daryl or carol at somepoint if not it was kind of point less to have that scene if it connects to nothing
What makes you think that it’s only been a week since the conversation between Darryl and Carol. It would have to have been a long time since she had heard back from him and that would make sense for her to go look for him. Also we don’t know the time span from when Rick and Michone came back so I don’t think Carol was talking about Rick when she had that conversation with Daryl

Had to look at the world map. Spain is south of France....and north of North Africa. If the Daryl Dixon series keeps on going, are they going to head into Africa? Will they eventually make it back over to the states?
With how AMC knows about you guys (maybe just the marketing side) but it will be cool if they gave you guys a role as an extra

funny seeing as we saw a child walker pick up a teddy bear in episode 1, and episode 3 we saw one pick up a rock and repeatedly slam it at a glass window
The kid in Daryl’s show is so special cause he was born after his mother had already turned that’s why they see him as someone with magical powers I think. I’m their eyes it’s a miracle he survived being able to live after literally being connected to someone who had already turned and survived and see him as possibly god saying he’s in their presence now after seeing such a miracle happen. They’re all religious so that’s my guess lol

A good discussion guys. Here are some of my thoughts
- I think the filming (near Boston) for Dead City is for scenes set in or near The Bricks.
- Last season they set up the possibility that Hershel is suffering from Stockholm syndrome and may be under The Dama's influence. I could see him possibly fleeing the Bricks and heading to NYC - which could set up Hershel working under Negan
- As for the Daryl/Carol series, I'm hoping they explain whey Losang thinks Laurent is their 'messiah'.
- and for the Spain rumours, I expect we will get an update soon. The rumour also mentioned that S3 filming was starting in June.
If the Spain rumour is true, some of my guesses why include
- the Nest is attacked and they flee Genet's forces
- some of the surviving scientists have set up base in Spain and are working on a solution to the walkers
- it could be part of Laurent's path in his prophecy (in S1 it was mentioned that Losang travelled the Camino trail, which leads to Santiago Spain. So it's possible that the Union of Hope has people and resources there)
Maybe we get a radio call with rick and Darryl

Hey, Jerel, I think Beale was a little more definitive about CRM folks overseas. He said he has operational spies in foreign countries who could potentially topple regimes. I do agree that type of espionage is not likely now that the OG CRM leaders are gone and the CR is running things. As far as season 3, where next, guys, China, Africa? Doesn't look like AMC is any rush to conclude things. Not sure how I feel, could be good or just more wandering.
You forget, it’s not like Daryl chose to stay in Paris. It’s not that he wanted to stay with Isabelle and Laurent. He wanted to leave, but Laurent followed him and was surrounded by walkers. Daryl wouldn’t just leave him to die, he’d have to get Laurent back to the nest - therefore missing his boat.
Well.... Carol and Daryl were supposed to hit the road and travel.
But in season 11 they were all aware of variants even mercer says it when they plan on blowing up the states

Daryl "promised" Carol he'd be back in about a week. And we don't know how long she waited. She could have waited until he was a month overdue before she went looking. Did you forget how in Season 11 she got Mercer and went to rescue Daryl and Rosita, all because Daryl missed their lunch date? LOL!
She knew something was wrong then, and she knows something is wrong now. That's just how the two of them are. If their positions were reversed, and Carol was the one late returning, Daryl would be out there looking for her, too.
Also, Zabel said in an interview that what Carol said on the radio had to do with her storyline in S2 and was not what people were thinking. Unless he was lying, I'd say that means she wasn't telling Daryl that Rick came back.

Regarding Daryl, the way he’s referred to as Rick’s “brother,” and now going to Spain in season 3, I think they’re finally adapting the Alien arc, with Daryl standing in as Jeff. Honestly, I could see Daryl staying behind or being the “sacrifice” to get his new friends away to safety, it would be a tragic but VERY fitting end to his character arc, someone who is willing to die to save those he loves.

I thought Maggie found out about the toe at the end of the season. I need to rewatch that. I had a hard time getting into that one. The twist at the end of the season was the only part of the show that really held my attention.
I am worried they are going to kill Carol. I don't like the season title 'The Book of Carol'. It makes me nervous. I'm not a big Daryl fan but I do seriously love Carol. Would've rather seen her get a spin off.
Don't think she knows. Remember a scene showing Hershel looking at his missing toe, but don't remember if Maggie saw it because the relationship with Hershel is still rocky.

I think Daryl finding his grandfather’s grave is very telling. His grandfather chose to stay in France. He lost his life but ended up saving Europe. I think ultimately this is what will happen to Daryl. He’s going to stay and die in Europe.

Josh is right…Carol looking for Daryl to tell him about Rick is back but because she see Daryl happy she hold it and this is exactly what TWD doing to us all time…torturing us with this important informations what should be said but they are not so we as fans going to be frustrated again and it’s bit annoying they are stretching this for to long we already waited for Rick to come back and to be honest I care only for reunion between Rick and Daryl…I think something going to happen and Carol reveals information about Rick to Daryl in last I episode and 3 season going to be somehow way home but they have to cross Spain.

The Primrose team went to Ohio, that was confirmed in the dialogue (on WB). However, that doesn't rule out the possibility that some scientists (French or otherwise) went to Spain.

i don`t see do Daryl to go back to America he is France to Spain. Because been to Andrew Dixon grave.
Maybe Carol really did say Rick came back and there is no longer a reason for Daryl to be looking for him? She thinks he might be in trouble? I am not one of those who wants any relationship between Daryl and Carol but a deep friendship as it has always been. I think he would look for her and vice versa. Also, the writing in these new series is way better than it was in the last few seasons of the original show. I trust that they want to tell more interesting stories going forward.
I just hope they don't have to go get Laurent back from being kidnapped and taken to Spain. The stolen kid plot-line is so tired in TWD.
