On TWD it was acting for sure , but there is also truth that you bring to the characters. I think they were mature enough not to get involved in that way. Andy is married and he seems to really love his wife. However their chemistry is undeniable!!!
I went back and watched their scenes again. There was so much chemistry with Rick and Michonne. Even as far back as the prison. Don’t know how some people did not see it coming. I loved Michonne’s bond with Carl first. Carl really needed her when they thought they lost baby Judith and especially after the forest attack. They really were a little family. Rick and Michonne were always together. They made decisions together. Drove in the same car to Alexandria. Lived there in the same house together. Then the sofa scene. That was epic. Michonne just became Judith’s mom naturally.
I loved! Michonne & Karl’s friendship. One of my favorite scenes in the whole Walking Dead is when Rick goes up to the door and looks at the peep hole and sees Michonne and says to Carl it’s for you! so adorable at times Michonne is so fierce especially after she loses Rick, but she’s so loving and sweet and funny too. I love when Rick and her first get together on the couch, talking about the crate of toothpaste going down with the truck to the bottom of the lake she said oh so you’ve had a DAY! .
I’ve met him in person when I worked for Williams-Sonoma in Atlanta and he was a guest in our store. He’s an amazingly kind and handsome man in person 🥰 Super nice! ❤
Killing Carl off was one of the single worst decisions Scott Gimple ever made. The show was never the same after Rick left but if Carl was still alive I think the last few seasons after Rick left would have made the show much better.
I always say the same shit they replaced Carl and he was the heart of the show it could have ended so much differently but they forced us to care about Judith who is mid asf and is nothing like Rick or michone because she’s literally Shane’s daughter 😂 not to mention RJ like who tf cares about RJ. The ones who live should have been the final season of the walking dead because it would have concluded the whole show way better
If you google "the worst decisions WD showrunner's made" Carl is generally number 1 or 2. Sometimes it's a bit higher but most writers put his death at the very worst. It's one I agree with as well.
I heard thru the grapevine that they killed off Carl because the actor was going to be an adult and they would've had to pay him an adult actor salary, so it was essential to save money... which is plausible.
That’s possible but why kill off a pivotal character in the show to save money when they had a handful of terrible characters that could have been killed off earlier like Tara.
I remember meeting Danai and getting a photo with her and while she signed it I let her know that "you know, you need to get rid of the blonde because Rick n Michonne belong together"... she chuckled and just said 'yeah a lot of people think so'... she probably already knew at that time I asked. She is such a beautiful person, inside and out! That photo is in my safe!😁

I met this guy 11 years ago, I’d never watched the walking dead before. He was a huge fan. Danai's memory is amazing. Their friendship certainly helped the character development. Danai being -bossy- _specific_ would make for some great TV. You do get to see even more of her charm and intensity when she portrays Okoye. What a truly great actor and playwright.
