I guarantee you're right I have no doubt in my mind it was a CRM reference but they just left us hanging
Remember that Hornsby had also been sending weapons to some unknown settlement. Those were the guns that were stolen by Leah. But when Hornsby was talking to the ex-CIA guy, he mentioned the guns were going to that other thing. However he referred to it. So don't know if it is the same as Designation 2, but Lance had other deals going on. Also, Daryl mentioned rumors of people being traded on rooftops...
Designation 2 is definitely a place, it doesn't make sense to put someone on a train to take them somewhere and kill them when you can pick literally any spot in the wasteland and shoot them instead.
The one soldier also said that Connie was to get there safely. If she was going there to be killed, why the importance of getting her there alive?
@imjuliewaters exactly, get her there safely, we don't want to hurt her before we put a bullet in her head, it doesn't make sense unless designation 2 is some kind of terminus type place and they want to eat the people they are sent (but of course that is ridiculous aswell.)
My best guess, experimentation or slave labour.
Remember Terminus when they did the lady’s flash back who was the ones that came there we only heard a voice and a saw a shadow
If we think carefully, jadis was exchanging people against food for CRM. So yeah maybe Lance had a connection with them and he sent designation 2 people to serve for experiments at the CRM.
It was confirmed by Gimple (back in Season 11) that the CRM was aware of the Commonwealth, but that Lance/Commonwealth didn't know about the CRM. So there would not have been a major link between the two groups.
Lance's mention of other groups with power was primarily a desperate ploy to stay alive. He did have trading arrangements with nearby local communities (like the one that was growing the poppies), but nobody with military power.
I think the Designation#2 group is someone completely new group and they might not even be villains. I'm hoping for someone like the Primrose team of scientists

A storyline that plays on what Negan said “no one ever thinks they’re the evil ones” and it’s our group being viewed as “the saviors” to another group. Where we are the bad guys. Just an interesting twist.

We are our own worst enemies. We come up with better ideas and storylines then they do.
Besides negans entrance into twd, the best overall villain was the governor. That was the highest of highs this show ever got was with him and then season 5. Phillip will always be the one 😂
Designation 2 could be madam Jenae sending people to get to be used as test subjects and that would link up with Daryl and carol

@@Father_Daniel Yep they just wanted us hyped and to keep watching for any connection whatsoever with the CRM and Rick, they did it with World Beyond and Fear and then did it a third time.😔
I think we'll never know! I guarantee Destination 2 is a reference to the CRM , missing people from the Commonwealth getting transported to the CRM for experiments or for other uses. but for some reason they never gave us the answer and probably never will
I have no ideas about Designation 2 but I would love for the walkers to become the villain again. Whether it's the 14 year thing, i.e. learn about things like their migration, disease, food and water problems or variants, either way is fine with me.
Could designation 2 be part of Madame Genet's group? Maybe they trained others to hoard walkers to send over to France for experimentation? Or maybe they were sent to France themselves to be experimented on.
After they said that A’s are sent away killed because they are leaders, I expected them to be easy to defeat. They are an Army made up entirely of followers. Even Beale is just a power hungry non leader. A true Leader would want to surround himself with other strong leaders. I dont think there are any “CRM outliers” out there because they said numerous time that entire leadership was meeting there for the summit (which was clue 2 to me that they would fall easily, and that beale isn’t a strong military figure). i do think that designation 2 may have been a CRM connection, but I don’t think we will hear anything more about it.
Really hope destination 2 is a CRM thing and ties together…a lot of story could be told beyond the Rick show/ tie ins with Daryl & Negan/Maggie spin offs.
I wouldn't count on any of it, seeing as they ignored all of the existing hanging threads in any of the good spin offs

Shira's fate is unknown. Her crony was Roman, who was killed by Pamela (and fed to Sebastian)
I thought designation 2 was for people who had disabilities. Like Connie was deaf, so they sent her to a place where someone would be able to communicate with her.

Wish they could of kept Sebastian alive and they have him stay with his mom at Commonwealth and when his mom gets put in the cell they could of make it where Sebastian broke his mom out of the jail cell and they get away from the Commonwealth

I don't think designation 2 was a death sentence. Milton wanted her there safely. Why care if she made it there alive if she was going to be killed anyway?
They couldn't dive that deep into the Reapers because it was the last season. From what I remember reading, they had already started to film the 11th season, when they got word that was going to be the last season and it was too late for them to change it.

Forgot designation 2 even existed to be honest and the TWD as whole definitely has lost steam since the end of The Ones Who Live. I worry for it's future and if we will see Andy again.
I hate to qdmit it but ws a die hard fan the ones who live finale left such a sour taste in my mouth. At this point im all in for dsad city. Now rhats a showrunner i have faith in. DD season 3 has me nervous

Sucks they never followed up with Georgie and the twins that seems like a huge waist of time now

This why I got a problem with the ones who live. The ending was so rushed. Josh point is perfect. I been saying this for a while now. How are these villains going forward gonna measure up to an advanced military with helicopters,missiles,poisonous gas,special forces plus another huge amount of regular army members. Season 11 was rushed with the Commonwealth and the Reapers. One more let down. Super walkers. End of world beyond. Someone dies and they are fresh and super strong walkers. I dont know maybe we are own worst enemies.
The one's that live reminded me of a love story instead of the walking dead. Maybe a spinoff from the Notebook
But if the commonwealth has any relation with the CRM how Ezekiel doesn't know about it because he is the governor for a year now

It is Carol who should have found info on Designation 2 and Lance's other deals with other groups, because she took over Hornsby's job.
they should bring back the main show to solve Designation 2 and other unanswered questions from the series

Lol Fear TWD had so many horrible villians. Marker lady was bad but so were the Padre siblings. They might've been even worse

I'm looking forward to TWD shows coming back on... I just reeeeaaaally hope that they don't try and make Negan a true villain again!! I understand Maggie's feelings towards Negan, and why it's so hard for her to trust or truly be on his side, but I think they make a great pair on screen! They have good chemistry! But I think that Negan has shown enough remorse, he has apologized enough... Especially when ya think back, and even though the Saviours were pricks, Ricks group attacked and killed them first! Maggie has killed many father's, mother's, brothers and sisters over the yrs, it's just the world they live in! I do not want Maggie and Negan to be truly fighting one another anymore, they make a better team! I can get behind a fake altercation to fool the peeps Negan will be "leading", but not a true "I hate you and want you dead" type of fight, I'm tired of that particular story!
Hopefully Negan will be a villain and finally do away with Maggie. She should've died after Beth. Such a terrible actor
Kinda wish TWD would stop with just changing the villain but they represent the same exact thing. Shoulda just kept the CRM instead of just nuking them in TOWL. The CRM felt like a knock off of the commonwealth, and now it’s full circle
You didn’t really pay attention…the PART of CRM that was destroyed was the corrupt/ top higher ups at that base…CRM itself still exists also heli’s and troops followed Rick and Michonne back home at end of show.
