  • Join me on a journey into a rarely seen side of Munich's famed Oktoberfest in this gripping video. While the festival is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and cultural celebrations, there's a darker narrative that often goes untold. I share a personal, cautionary tale of hospitality gone awry, recounting the night a local's kind offer took a sinister turn.
Discover the importance of staying vigilant, even amidst the revelry of Oktoberfest, as I delve into the details of how a seemingly friendly gesture of offering a place to stay led to an unsettling incident. This story serves as an eye-opener for festival-goers and travelers alike, emphasizing the need for safety and awareness in all social situations.
What began as a night of traditional festivities and camaraderie quickly descended into a nerve-wracking ordeal that I hope none will have to experience. From recognizing red flags to understanding the power of intuition, this video is not just a story; it's a lesson in personal security and trust.
If you're planning to visit Oktoberfest or any other festival, this video is a must-watch. It will hopefully equip you with the knowledge and strategies to protect yourself and ensure that your time spent celebrating remains joyous and safe.
Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more content that delves into the complexities of cultural events and personal experiences. Your support helps raise awareness and fosters a community of cautious, yet enthusiastic, global citizens.

You managed to get out of that situation.
As you said it could have been much worse. The main thing is that you learned from that experience. Drinking can get anyone in trouble, No matter who they are. Stay well and keep using your intuition. I learned to use mine and it serves me well.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Thank you for sharing your story. I know from experience that it's not easy talking about things like this, but hopefully telling others what happened to you will be cathartic, and hearing your account may be helpful for others who have been through something similar. Alles gute und frohe Ostern, Alter. 🐇🐤🌷

It really means a lot to have your understanding and support, Jeremy. You’re right, it's tough to talk about, but if it helps even one person, it’s worth it. Appreciate the good wishes too - Frohe Ostern right back at you!

Some guys see 'no' as an invitation to try harder.
I'm glad you got out of that situation safely.

Definitely, Joshua, 'no' should always mean 'no'. Thanks for the kind words-I’m just thankful to be able to share and maybe help others be more cautious. Stay safe!

I'm so sorry this happened; perhaps sharing it will make it less of a personal horror. I am much older than you and had similar experiences in my wayward youth. Thankfully I was never trusting of people in general and had friends around me to sweep in and pluck me from talons of imminent danger. Perhaps it is the "what if" that haunts you. I too meditate for at least an hour or more every day and it really helps me to coexist with demons from the past. I truly enjoy your channel; my best to you.

It sounds like you’ve been through quite a lot too. It’s great that you had people looking out for you back then. Meditating for an hour every day? That's impressive and really inspiring. Thanks for the kind words about the channel! Take care!

Das erste teil deines Videos das du beschreibst hört sich wie sexuelle Belästigung an. Die weitere teile des Videos klingen wie ein Raub oder Organraub, das ist gruselig, hast du ausprobieren die Polizei zu berichten?

    • @GetGermanized
      @GetGermanized  6 місяців тому +1

Thank you for sharing your story. Something similar happened to me on a night out at the clubs during Christmastime eons ago, but it ended much worse for me. I'm glad that didn't happen to you. You will be ok!! ❤️❤️
P.S.: I liked the computerized version of that hymn verse at the end! 😄

Off topic a bit, but is it possible to get Apfelschorle or other non-alcoholic drinks in a tent at The Oktoberfest?

Sad to say, things are not like they used to be. Today, you cannot be sure if a kind act is just that. If you have doubts, walk away.
Better to be safe than sorry. Happy to see you back!

Dominik, although this happened some years ago, I can tell it is still difficult for you to share. Maybe you could talk to some sort of counselor to help with bad thoughts, to help you better "process" them. Thank you for sharing your story, though, it is a good warning to those who drink too much and are with strangers. I hope you can find peace in your mind. Over 20 years ago, I dated a woman who had bad experiences in her early life, and it affected her many years.

I really appreciate your kind words and the advice. You're right, talking things out with a counselor could be super helpful. It's cool that by sharing my story, it might help someone else be more careful. Hope you’re doing alright, and that things have gotten better for your friend too. Thanks for reaching out!

Just watched your video and, wow!
I’m glad you were able to get out of there and her as well. I come from Appalachia in the US and had that been me I initially would have been “No, dude. I’m not interested.” Had he persisted, my next response would have been “Do you want to keep that hand? You do? Then take it away right now!” Yeah, we hillbillies don’t mess around! Again, I am so glad you came out of the situation without being harmed. I don’t know how religious you are but I would like to pray for your healing if that’s okay with you?
