You can also use hoarfrost stomp on the invisible path to see where the path is. Great guide as usual
Hear I am shooting it with arrows cause I’m to impatient to use the stones
I think prelate charge works. Possibly run the path without falling.
You can also just swing your weapon to move forward. It won't drop you to your death so you can just slide along the edge to find those turns.
I just swing weapons lol
Ah you beat me to it! I was gonna say that as well. Hoarfrost Stomp is just so much faster than the Incant he's using here or other methods I've tried. (I haven't tried the Prelate's Charge yet though, if it works, it could def be the fastest)
Margit’s / Mohg’s shackle will remove invisible walls (if there’s invisible walls nearby) and also interact with the fire/frost pillars in catacombs. Super handy in some of the larger catacombs or hero’s grave.
They covered that already in an earlier video
This ain't new
This has not worked for me. I’m obsessed with trying to find illusory walls and have tried this many times with no luck.
The range is very large.if
@@Ledzilla2012 and they have a couple of false rock floors when hit disapprove an show a stairway down under
Interesting note about the jellyfish: while they appear in a few specific places, they appear most typically and in larger numbers near graveyards or near ruins or catacomb dungeons. Other locations are specifically where people died; around the wrecked wagon where you find the jellyfish shield, for example. I believe jellyfish are some form of ghost, perhaps manifesting from the souls of people who died BEFORE the shattering.
A few misc things:
In the Nameless Eternal City in Deeproot Depths, the Lake of Rot in the Siofra Rover, as well as the section within the sewer pipes below Leyndell, using the Beast-Repellant Torch is hands down the best way to deal with the Basilisk enemies. They don't aggro you unless you somehow force them to jump, and then only occasionally they'll start to attack, but they're easily manageable for the 1-2 who will attack vs. the hordes hidden in the bushes.
I started using it a lot as a way to bypass wolf packs in multiple areas of the game, like the cliffs past Stormvale castle or headed to the Merchant in front of Raya Lucaria Academy. Of any of the items in the game, I've easily gotten more use out of it than anything else while just wandering about. While it's fairly well known, the places it is a godsend are often not as well known.
A similar note is how the Black Knife armor and the talisman work. It apparently sets it so that the enemy hearing for your character is set to 0. However, they will still hear any objects that you break or interact with because the sound doesn't originate from your character. Thus thrown objects or ranged attacks against destructible objects is a way to pull the AI's attention towards something and use stealth in a more interesting way.
Lastly, as a bit of a fun lore-type design fact are things at the Ruin-Strewn Precipice, where the bat women and the land octopus are. It's my favourite in the game.
Land octopus will eat its own arms to heal itself, but has to regurgitate the one it's eaten first. If they have none left, they just let out a yelling croaking sound as they're focused all on feeding themselves to produce their young. The Land Octopus ovaries are specifically fueled on human blood, and the vampire bat crones sing a song, where the Latin lyrics are about a broken promise to be mothers. That's why near the final old crone & the one in the magical garb beside her, there are young Land Octopus roaming about. If you defeat the Land Octopus there, you get the Serpent-God's Curved Sword, used for human sacrifice to grant life to the wielder (HP on kills).
On the life beyond are all of the abandoned Coffins, with the Omen roaming about. In a world without death, those races who depend on the natural cycle of feeding off of the end of the lives of others are trapped and suffering differently from the immortal nobles who have all gone mad. It's an oddly sympathetic area to the world's more odd creatures, and another way to look at both acquiring the Rune of Death, as well as what the Serpent God that Rykard fed himself to represented before becoming an anathema to the Order of the Erdtree.
That leans in to how the Ulcerated Tree Spirits are all snakes, as they're a natural part of the tree suffering, and they only emerge when the Erdtree Avatars aren't present. The Ulcerated Tree Spirits also have the odd emergence of limbs reflecting how the Serpent God's damaged body is fused with Rykard's remains.
Those are the last part showing how the cycle of an unending life is growing like a parasitic tissue turning even that ancient god into a monster who's trying to eat the entire world to consume all life together again… just like its old sacrifices could no longer do for the Land Octopus once Death was sealed away.
Are you taking notes or is this all from memory? Either way, lots of interesting info, thanks for sharing.
@@deanhatescoffee Glad to share! That's all from memory, but I did take notes periodically as I played which is how certain connections like that stuck particularly well in my mind when I ran into them over time.
A lot of my hours playing have been focused around exploring and examining design details in the game. The torch and armor helped a lot in being able to explore and look at things like that.
Another one that's kinda neat is that the Flame of Frenzy only impacts those who have known suffering or persecution, because it comes from the hatred of being shunned or ostracized until you're cut away from others. Thus near the tower where you get the Howl of Shabriri, the rats are all affected by the Flame of Frenzy like at the Ailing Village as they're all scarred and have clearly been treated like vermin. But literally right beside them, the whole pack of wolves are unaffected by it as they have loyal packs and are also the primary symbol of unfailingly loyal beasts to the Lords and Champions in the Lands Between.
Good shit homie
WOW these are great insights! Fascinating!
You need to be making Elden Ring fact and lore videos dude holy shit. You’d probably get a ton of subscribers, myself included
I don't know if you guys know, but ants also have a grab attack . They actually have 2 differents animations. One will impale you , the other will chew you to death
Animation attacks are counterable in the sense they do less overall damage if you fast tap rb +lb +b seems to work best (xbox)
Literally no fucking shit... this isn't news at all and everybody that has ever been near one knows this.
@@wickwickening3977 everyone already know that lmao wow. Did you know if you hit square or x you will heal yourself?
@@wickwickening3977I actually keep forgetting this because I always feel like it's a placebo, but I keep remembering after mashing buttons that I lose less health 😂
I completed Aurelia's quest by randomly coming across her sister and trying the ash summons. It was emotionally touching. It's even more so touching after finding out about the tombstones. I had no idea about their graves until now from this video. As if I needed to have my emotions toyed with any more today lmao
makes me wonder if they move to the underground after the summon, since that's where they can see the stars
Please, tell us more about the touching.
After I completed the quest I noticed the path behind the Stargazer Ruins while I was on the bridge to the North. Thought it was a secret catacomb or something... To find only the tombstones definitely affected me.
Alright, so this might seem slightly off topic, but I know no one will ever see it if I just put it in a normal comment. 3 people (don’t need to consider whoever that second reply is from…) maybe seeing it is better than none.
The jellyfish to me seem to be special manifestations of spirits. After all, there’s not much you can do to justify an actual free-floating land jellyfish without Monster Hunter levels of pseudo-biological lore. Their presence also often indicates points of interest. I actually was led to a dungeon by following the jellyfish trail. Yet they linger because they somehow weren’t able to return to the Erdtree, which may have been because of associating with the primeval current in the sisters’ case. Them manifesting as jellyfish in the first place may be a symbol of their purity in life. Jellyfish are generally beautiful, and there are few things purer than a child.
@@wigglerrave4020 My friend, Wiggler, that is a beautiful and intriguing theory. I didn't even consider this as a possibility. Consider 1 of your 3 internet strangers on board.
Like 500 hours in and still finding new shit, this game is honestly amazing idk how they do it. Thank you guys btw for keeping some integrity, it would be easy to make click bait videos like other UA-camrs and most of your stuff teaches me new things so I appreciate you.
About the jellyfish : even more odd that one of the first times you run into a bunch of them is on a random graveyard in Limgrave and they all seem to converge in burial sites (graveyards, catacombs, etc.) throught the game - or that random bunch staring at a destroyed cart in Liurnia where we find the jelly shield. Maybe this is a sort of reference to the fact that some polyp seem to never actually die but "rewind" back towards their infant form. Or that combined with "soul recycling" of the erdtree IDK?
Also: Ring of Light have a similar effect on those damn fire breathing carts. The rings go right through and come back hitting the pilot
And Ambush Shard 🥳
duuude what if jellyfish are just dead children?
@@tatrandillia9976 fair point! Sisters that died in Consecrated Snowfields before reaching the stars and reincarnated as jellyfish. Kids mourning their parents in Limgrave. A random bunch of other kids that died while traversing Liurnia and are forever mourning their parents at the cart.
@@tatrandillia9976 I had surmised that I don’t know if there’s any other explanation for them
It's amazing how you have developed this channel from monster hunter to elden. Absolutely amazing work

Tbh, one thing I found out thanks to you is that not only can healing "Miracles" hurt the Scion enemies. But if they have a projectile, it will also reflect them. They seem to still be active though so they will try to retrack to you. I found it out after having one launch its attack while I used Erdtree Heal.
This i did not know. Idk how useful itl be but its certainly interesting
I mean it sounds fairly useful to me
It is difficult to time from sound of it but if u precast i to u can hold it till the timing is right and those insufferable witches are right on top of you or theyr dumb projectiles r right in ur not dumb face ,,(unlike ur enemies who's faces are the defenition of dumb dumbnes)
interesting, is it only that sort of attack from them or any similar one like dung eaters.
@@Willow4526 I havnt tried it. It could repel Regal Omen attack, will need to test that out later
I've heard that if you use a bewitching branch during the Castle Sol boss battle the fight becomes much easier.
I do that every run
To bad that item takes forever, but the knights he summons are absolute monsters. Cool note: the dagger/item doesn’t have to hit them just the mist so if you time it right the fight goes from 1v3 to 3v1
@@sampalace358 The merchant near the Bellum church sells like 6 of them
I heard that doesn’t work anymore to make the knight summons help you
Personally I’ve just gotten there and am enjoying the challenge of the fight, it’s not the hardest in the world
If you’re stuck on a platforming section, you can use a dragon breathing attack like agheel’s flame or borealis’ mist to levitate after you’ve missed a jump and give you an extra second to quit out before you splatter on the ground
This is a great tip.
Good players can do it quickly or at the very least have a macro ready to go...
@@godlygamer911 good players aren't practiced at quitting out to not die. Good players don't die in the first place. And exploiting the quit system makes you a lamer that needs to get good, it is not a sign of any sort of skill.
Secrets videos are best cause they show how much hidden stuff they actually added into the game they just didn’t need to, it’s great
The Frenzy Flame seal doesn't have any faith requirement, if you are a pure int build and want to use Law of Regression
On the invisible path I didn’t use anything because I could see like a “cloudy-dusty” kinda “poof” almost like ghostly foot steps leading the way. Anyone else notice this?
Yeah, it’s really not that hard to see. I never used anything like rainbow stones to stay on track and I never fell 🤷♂️
Yep, and much more visible at night.
I only have to do this shit cuz my tv/monitor keeps swapping setting on me for whatever reason
8:14 Yeah OR you could just eat ONE Scriptstone and suddenly a bazillion messages from helpful other players will show up and illuminate nearly the entire hidden pathways...
I did try that when I did that bridge. It wasn't as effective as I hoped. Maybe it was the time of day I did that bridge. Ended up making a bunch of crystal arrows and shooting them alongside the bridge until they connected with the side of the path that lead up. When I actually found where it was, the snowy shading that the clue tells you about became really obvious to me.
Finally a real use for that thing!!
The "Disc" Spells can be reflected back with the Erdtree Greatshield as they return to you
Didn't know this
Holy shit
I've been running fightincowboy's mage build that uses Law of Regression with a Frenzied Flame seal that weighs nothing and has no requirements. So you're already shooting for 80 INT, and you can just eliminate that Barrier of Gold or whatever other buff.
An easier way to cross the invisible bridges is by using the sentry torch. It reveals invisible enemies and invisible items/things within the reach of the torch light. Verrrry verrrrry useful and a merchant sells it in the mountaintop
Nope, near Lyndell
Wrong! Don't comment if you don't know what you're talking about kidboy. Just wanna comment and fit in ain't even accurate smh beat it boy
There are plenty of mountains u have to be more specific
In addition to Pest Threads, the Invisible Spells also pierce enemies and you can kill the siege engines. Really quickly by using that, if you are running spells.
I think Roderika tells you that the jellyfish or chrysalid as she terms them are people who were killed by Godrick.
I might have misunderstood her but I was to understand that her friends were killed by Godrick and grafted to him, their spirits becoming the spirit jellyfish, or at least some of them.
you can cut off the octopus’s two long arms to prevent it from healing it self. It stager them for a short while too
The Nomad Merchant near Saintsbridge actually sells the note/hint about the Fire Chariots. As for how useful this is...the one in Liurnia is the only one I've seen where it's practical.
1:14 this works because the pot applies frostbite, and frostbite/bleed stagger can interrupt things that you normally aren't able to interrupt otherwise. If you happen to get a bleed or frostbite with ur weapon while she is in the air, it will have the same effect, so if you don't want to/don't have the materials to craft the pot, you can also use a weapon that has Frostbite or bleed on it.
Also means it won't work if she is currently frostbitten, so gotta be sure to reset that with fire damage
@@TriDFan18 true, but if she was frostbitten from the pot, she probably won't use the attack again until the frostbite is over, since she doesn't usually use it super often. she still definitely can use it, i just don't think you'll really need to worry about it much.
Or use Frost Spear ash of war.
Yeah, I just got done using moonveil to stagger the black knife assassin in the evergaol so that he can't do his lethal hp draining attack.
@@Dovahshark true but you have to remember to not use any ranged attacks afterwards because those reset her cooldown on waterfowl
I’m sure it’s already been mentioned multiple times, but you can also use arrows as they temporarily stick into the invisible path.
It's nothing super special but if you are farming for a weapon and MAYBE armor pieces, this will keep you from getting excited only to be disappointed. So we all know that when you kill an enemy if they are going to drop an item you will see the kind of burst or flash of the blueish white light and then will have the glowing dot of an item on them. Well just like when you find an item out in the world, if it's a regular item it will be a white light that rises up from the dot but if it's a rare or special item it will be a brighter, thicker, purplish light that rises from the dot. Well it's the same when you kill an enemy, so instead of getting excited when you see the flash only to get the thousandth rowa berries, if it's only the white light dot after they hit the ground then you know it is only a common item like a rowa berry, but if it's the purple dot light then it's something good like their weapon or armor pieces. Hopefully it's helpful
When you're on an invisible path, you can just attack with your weapon. It sets you up with an invisible wall so you don't fall and die. I use a dagger for it's fast attack speed sou can find my way pretty easily
I use that magma ability
I use the sleep sword and sleep tourch way more than i hear of anyone else using them. Has helped me get through a couple hard bosses like the big round godskin Noble for example.
Details?
I actually use arrows to guide myself around invisible paths, the arrows stay for quite a while, are cheap, and cost no FP.
There are also rainbow arrows that leave glowing stones where they hit, for easier visibility.
@@solomchuk Is there a way to craft those? I've only found a couple dozen of them and can't seem to find a recipe to make more.
@@marcoscarrasco92 Yes, you need the Nomadic Warrior's Cookbook 7. Can't remember off the top of my head where you find it.
Best way I found to find the limits of an invisible path is to use Wave of Gold from Sacred Relic sword. It’s got incredible range, lights up the width of the path and it’ll go up and down ramps/stairs.
So glad you guys are still pumping out Elden Ring content, I look forward to each video now, it doesnt even matter to me what its about exactly, I love watch Elden Ring videos almost as much as I love playing haha
7:31 frost stomp also helps to see the path! :D
They are actual two things related to law of regression: 1 if you use it, it initiates the fight, your not allowed free time to buff after. 2 you shouldn't be buffing after you use law of regression, it's just bad manners. If you use law of regression, your saying no buffs for this fight for anyone.
About the Jellyfish sisters in stargazer ruins, Rodrika has extra dialogue after you reunite the sisters. Wasn't super impacting but it was cool that she mentions something about it.
In the invisible bridge you can actually see where the enviromental snow hit the invisble stair si thats another hint to advance safetly 8:06
I was using hoarfrost stomp to show me invisible ground, shows a good area if it goes well. The outward traveling cone shape can cover a wide area, but like the ancestral head you need to get the item, unlike the head though you'll need to apply the ash to a weapon it'll work with. It was helpful a few places I'd run out of rainbow and other path stones in the middle of invisible bridges.
Personally when it comes to dealing with malenia waterfowl I prefer the throwing knives method to dodge the attack and if I dodge it well no damage. In addition much easier to get compared to frost pots which can be annoying to farm.
in coop it's quite easy to break her posture with the redmane or rock sling
@@thebarba41 She hypers through posture breaks when doing things like Waterfowl. Only thing that stuns her out of waterfowl is a bleed or frost proc. Frost proc is just the easiest thing to do reliably. I couldn't use the strategy in my own fight, though, because I already ran frost weapons and would need to respec if I wanted to run a bleed build or something. I'd occasionally get lucky and the frost from my weapons would proc right as she was flying up.
@@thebarba41 personally i find coop makes her fight 10 times hard specially when summon or host doesnt know how to avoid her attacks.
I used a bunch of bewitching branches on all the Banished Knights in Farum Azula. I’d enchant the first knight I came across, then ran to the next one to aggro him, then have him chase me back to the bewitched knight so they could dual it out. I’m pretty sure once they’re enchanted they get either a damage or defense buff. They’d always win the fight and then I could take them out at my leisure. It drastically simplified the entire area.
The Souls games have such dark and grim endings for almost all the NPC's that you just wish one could get a happy ending. The they through this at us with the Jellyfish sisters and I couldn't take it, I got so choked up when they were reunited and you hope they both left to see the stars. Then you find the graves and it only makes you feel worse. But you can still imagine and hope that they were happy on being reunited.
I was under the impression that the jellyfish spirits were the souls of those who had died in order for their bodies to be grafted, given the dialogue from the spirit girl when you meet her in the shack
So yeah that's fun
Is that what a chrysalid is?
Nice video! Wonder if the bewitching brach can work on very large enemies?
Most of these are also hinted in the game by merchants, npc's (looking at you patches) and some messages on the ground.
I really like how the devs/creators are talking to you through the game.
It’s other players not the devs and creators anybody can leave a message for other people to read
That 1st trick with Malenia was awesome. About that hidden bridge On Mountaintop of the Giants try attacking near that hidden bridge. if You can extend Your attack in hidden area You can go forward and if You cannot Extend You can't go forward You don't need anything like Rainbow stones of any Fp consumption thing to walk safe. Just try attacking to reveal the path :)
I always thought that the jellyfish spirits were the benign spirits of people, especially given they often gather around graves or places where people have died, whereas the red ones were the not so friendly variety. The storyline mentioned here kind of leans that way.
As the grave said "Here lie Aurelia and Aureliette who never saw the stars"..goosebumps all over
I mean in terms of that invisible walkway the sign at the front says something about watching for falling snow and in the video you can clearly see a white haze in front of him.
Something people may not know. Your Mimic can use consumables you put on your Quick Item bar.
There are many ways this can be helpful, I personally put Uplift Aromatic on mine, since it’s such a nice shield and a somewhat limited resource. You can’t control when the mimic will use it, but it’s still nice to get the benefit when it does
Equipping warming stones and rot/poison pots is also helpful. Or oil pots if you're using fire incantations
I had the grab of the snail happen on me way to many times when I was in the spiritcaller cave. Had one of the snails do that move 4 times in a row...
10:55: You *DO NOT* need 10 faith for the seal, you can still cast it, even if you "can't wield the seal properly". And yes, the effect is the same, cleanse all buffs and debuffs.
Even better if you grab a 0 weight seal and use that with no downside.
I don't know how well known this is, but if you powerstance a greatspear with the serpent slayer against rykard, both spears get the extended range effect
Nice, will have to try that.
There is a unique riposte attack that the pumpkin heads have for when you've been knocked off torrent near them. It happened once in fort in limgrave and a spear guy knocked me off and the pumpkin head came in and obliterated me. I was more surprised than anything when that happened.
Once you get to the turn in the hidden path to the rise, you can see the outline of the path from the snow.
The Book at door states: Snow shows that is hidden (or something like that)
PSA, you can throw the freezing pot at Malenia right as she jumps into the air, don't twiddle your thumbs till the last second like this guy did, and you won't get hit at all.
Nice I didn’t even know pest threads was a thing we can get. Thanks
For law of regression, you can still cast it even if you don't meet the minimum requirements for using the seal. All you need is the minimum int. and FP to cast the spell, no faith required.
-Anything that causes flinch, like whips, can interrupt the Waterfowl Dance.
-For that "hidden" path in Mountaintops of the Giants you can see faint snow mounds that look like misty clouds that show you where the path is
one of the best uses for the bewitching branch is on the summons in the commander niall boss as they will do half of the fight for you and u dont have to worry about them
The Ash of War Hoarfrost Stomp is even better at revealing invisible paths imo. Its much easier to see where the edges are with the frost.
Jellyfish are ghosts, and theyre usually found in sites of tragedy (graveyards, catacombs, castle morne, etc). But there is one spot in the game that has jellyfish which are hostile on the spot, and its unlike the usual areas youd find jellyfish. Not sure why the Cave of the Forlorn has these guys, but theyre not passive like the others
Is this in liurnia close to the the mausoleum? If so thats where I encou tired strange behavior from the jellyfish that didn't align with the majority of my interactions
@@Triexy Consecrated Snowfields
@@Triexy Weird, i dont recall any other place where they acted weird, only the Cave of the Forlorn in the Conserated Snowfield. I did every single dungeon on my first run, perhaps i dont remember. If you manage to remember what dungeon in Liurnia youre thinking of id love to go look. I should go back to the Cave of the Forlorn to look around for details that might explain why jellyfish are there at all, let alone hostile
Another way to find the right path on invisible paths is the rainbow stone arrows, extremely useful for invisible paths and also to keep track of where you've been as you go through dungeons, caves, and catacombs etc.!
The best Grab Attack is the one from the Rune Bears. If you mash out of it they fall through the floor since Patch 1.03 (maybe its been fixed now its been a while since they grabbed me).^^
its really weird because everyone talks about that and i've seen lots of videos of it happening but it doesnt work on my game.
Wait, you can button mash out of the rune bear grab attack? I thought it was established that grab attacks will carry out their full animation/effect no matter what button you press and no matter how many times you press it. Like I thought you get grabbed and you are then at the mercy of the grab attack, period. Can you actually break out and I've been dumb this whole time?!
@@handan3786 Yep, been that way since the beginning of the souls series. Button mashing gets you out of all grab attacks a lot quicker and with less damage dealt to you. Though in the previous games, the animation would still play out as if you took the whole grab attack. Elden Ring actually changed it so that if you escape a grab attack, instead of you getting into an animation where you get off the ground, you actually push off the enemy and are immediately on your feet to counter, heal, or get away from the enemy. It’s a nice QoL change.
@@handan3786 Yeah with the Rune Bear in particular he only "hugs" you twice if you manage to break the grab.
It definitely works on the Abductor Virgins aswell. If you mash hard enough you only take 2-3 of ticks of damage and get out a bit faster.
It does not work on grabs from the likes as Rykard or Malenia since both of those are just a single big hit.
@@handan3786 grab attacks that do multiple hits can be shortened by mashing L1 and R1.
Just gotta say, would be awesome to see the jellyfish summon get a second jellyfish once you complete their questline.
The bleed buffs thing isn't a bug, the items (mask and talisman) trigger the buffs as soon as you bleed, afterwards the buff is separate from the item and is treated like any other buff you apply (they last until their timer expires), sure you can switch out the items but it's cumbersome and not worth it unless the buffs really last for a long time.
I've been watching these videos trying to find something interesting to bring me back into elden ring but there's just too little to actually occupy the player in the world.
I feel that. It’s taking me forever to finish. Every night I think I’m going to get on but I always just decide to do something else or go to bed instead.
The snail animation is hilarious lol.
Law of regression works even if you do not have the stats for the talisman. Any mage can just use it without investing any points into faith.
About the freezing pot on to Malenia, it works because her resistance to frost is really low therefore making her proc the status effect an therefore satggering her. You can also use that on the flower bloom at the beginning of the second phase or just when she's charging it up in the air. I recommend also to use a fire pot to reset the frost effect so you can keep stagger her during animations.
Ambush shard works really well against the fireheads!
Why didnt i think of that, it seems so obvious now. Thank you for that tidbit
Also if you can sneak up the em, you can backstab the dude hanging out the back, and usually smack him a few more times out of that animation
I've had times where I've interrupted waterfowl dance without pots, just my weapon. No status build up either, I'm not sure how it happens. there are just times I'm really aggressive, and my attack (usually a jump attack, regardless of weapon type), stops her and knocks her down
One time I was assisting people in co op and two dudes came up to Melania and used rivers of blood and Melania used waterfowl dance. I thought "well we are screwed" because they weren't getting out of the way. They ended up staggering her out of it. Needless to say we won that fight.
@@morekiemadness3880 i wanna guess that when she commits to the attack, she loses all her poise
@@aiellamori status effects like bleed stun regardless of hyper armor
@@aiellamori also it seems like waterfowl dance was designed for flat surfaces or going up and was not designed for going down. if she goes for it in a outer part of the and her target is more towards the center she just falls cause her body is to high properly continue the attack. If you hit her during this she is no longer in hyper armor cause the attack was already canceled letting you stagger her and knock her down
The imps and vulgar militia also have a grab attacks that are pretty interesting. No eating, but cool looking.
dont worry, all of Gideon’s items and spells that he gives you in exchange for information become available at the Twin-Maiden Husks after beating Maliketh
Yeah, I was curious where those items came from and why they were added to the shop, I defeated Gideon before going to the Haligtree so I never got to give him the info yet I had the items people say you need to give him info to obtain, now it all makes sense, thanks for pointing that out.
7:52 there is actually a better one. its with the hoarforst stomp ash of war. ofcourse its my opinion but i think its more clear to see :)
Something I found out that nobody seems to be talking about is that on a previous run I did I learned that if you do Flame of the Fell God, if Malenia's next attack is Waterfowl it will trigger her to do it even if she's far away.
There is a note that says snow will guide the way before the invisible bridge and if you look closely little circles of fallen snow will briefly show you the next few steps.
What's better than the Ancestral Infants Head for walking on invisible paths is the AoW Hoarfrost Stomp. If you don't have the AoW you can use the Icerind Hatchet.
12:01 They work for Commander Niell, but when I tried, he wiped the floor with them without any challenge. Other video clips show the henchmen taking him down to half health.
You do not need any faith to use seals. Meeting their stat requirements enables their stat scaling to kick in but they can still be used without the right stats. As Law of Regression has no benefit from scaling, you have no reason to invest in faith if that's the only incantation you're using.
For Malenia, as someone who solos her for other players, there are 2 ways to dodge her Waterfowl Dance.
1. If you already have some distance between her and you when she begins it, run away from her (and dodge away if she gets too close), then right as she finishes the first part, start running towards her. right before she begins the 2nd part of the dance, there will be a split second where she pauses - at that point, you need to be right up to her and then dodge into her, getting behind her. Then as she turns around to target you for the last part, you dodge into her again.
2. If you are right beneath her, you will need to circle around her (to the right works best) and you'll know you did this right if she turns in mid-air right before she starts it, and dodge into the direction she's coming from (no target lock works best). then repeat the same steps from above. alternatively, bloodhound step into her right before she starts the move.
Oh, is that all 😜
7:04 frost stomp (probably every aoe which is moving on ground can do it too) shows everything :)
just want to point out that the invisible pathway to the castle has particle effects on it as long as it's snowing.
I only know two invisible bridges, the one for the rise and the one for the beginning of Consecrated Snowfield. You can actually spam light attacks on the rise bridge to inch your way forward depending on how far your weapon brings you, since From added a feature to keep us from falling due to attacks, but the Snowfield one will just let you fall.
Noob
Great video! Some of these things I didn't know some of these things. There is a better way to find the hidden path though. If you use hoarfrost stomp, you can accurately pave out the path (including stairs).
with the flame siege engine i was extremely under levelled once and it survived the plunge attack but it started to leak a bunch of flammable oil that when ignited it blew it up along with me as i was too confused to know what just happed i was never able to replicate it though
Hoarfrost stomp is also a great way to reveal invisible paths
The Aurelia part makes me feel like ALL the jellyfish are the spirits of the young
Pest threads absolutely decimates dragons and the fire giant as they have multiple hit boxes getting hit at once
Another thing about the flame tanks people might not know is that destroying them with a plunging attack actually gives you more runes.
Here's a fun one, if you poison one of the land squirts they just explode with poison gas.
If there's a group then they do a very satisfying chain reaction.
There's a fallen chunk of Farum Azula in the north west of Liurnia that has a ton of squirts underneath, the perfect place to show this off.
You can also jump off your horse headon with the chariot and if your timing is on, you'll do the plunge attack surekill every time
Thanks for that Aurelia and Aureliette secret storyline From, very cool 👍
That freezing pot Malenia trick is awesome! Thank you!
There is a tip with the Margit's Shackle, if you hit it in the floor in the place that have hidden paths it will reveal the hidden path, I tried it yesterday and it works.
Every time I see a video with some fancy solution to the path into the Heretical Rise I'm like: "The path is literally covered in fog. Just follow it."
I actually use arrows for the hidden paths..fire or magic are good for visibility..
Strength with a fire nagakiba and unsheathe has a gooood potential for a one shot katana build. style and Damage, can’t go wrong
I pulled off a leap from Torrent onto that fire chariots head once. I could never replicate it though
A really cheesy way of taking down Melania is to use ice breath, it procs frostbite for 10% hp dmg and then fire breath to thaw her, the repeat. For extra cheese get a tanky spirit to hold agro, doung eater is pretty good.
Branches makes enemies attack invaders. I use them for that.
I’m very excited for the “Highest Damage in One Hit” video! Y’all are taking up TDS’ mantle for Elden Ring which is cool.
In the mines of elden rings there is a enemy miner with backpacks these enemies explode when they are set on fire it’s a one hit kill and they enter a panic animation
