Danger Zone, Footloose and I’m Alright!
Yes yes & yessss!!!
The original version of this was called “House at Pooh Corner”, which he wrote when he was seventeen years old and recorded in 1971 with Jim Messina. In 1994, when he was a father, he added another verse and re-recorded it with the title “Return to Pooh Corner”.
"This Is It". Grammy winner with Michael McDonald and Christopher Cross on back round vocals. You'd need a wheelbarrow for all the Grammys between them.
He was seventeen when he wrote this. He's written and sung so many hit songs during his career.
Kenny IS a legendary music ICON and truly doesn't have any bad music. MY personal favourites are This is It, Heart to Heart, Footloose, Danger Zone, Nobody's Fool, Playing with the Boys, Heaven Help the Man (I'm Free), Forever, and Meet me Halfway. Enjoy the ride my friend.
Heart to Heart is my guilty pleasure. I listen to it repeatedly lol
@@jackie_jrml lol - I do to so totally understand. Jordan and Amber from RobSquad did a great reaction to it as well.
I think my favorite from his days with Jim Messina is, your Mama Don’t Dance, and Your Daddy Don’t Rock ‘n’ Roll. So much fun!
Heart to Heart and This Is It is a good place to start with Kenny Loggins. He has that “vibe”. And you’ll also notice that Michael McDonald sing back up in a lot of his songs so you’re definitely recognize his voice in there.
Of course, you have to add the song Footloose as well.
The first time you watched “We are the world” you stopped it when he sang because you were so blown away you had to rewatch him. Been waiting for you to do one of his songs
Good song great artist...He sings the theme song from the original Top Gun movie..."Danger Zone". Also "I'm alright" from Caddyshack and "Footloose" from Footloose movie
Thanks for this great song and reaction! "This is it", "Celebrate Me Home", "Danny's Song", "Heart to Heart", are just some of his great songs. Looking forward to your future reactions to him.
He is one of the singers in USA for Africa
Oh, I have been waiting SO LONG for someone to react to this song! I’m so happy!!!
My favorite Kenny Loggins sing is actually a duet with Stevie Nicks “Whenever I Call You Friend” ❤
Danny's Song, Your Mama Don't Dance and Celebrate Me Home.
OMG I used to dance around the house with my babies to this album! They're in their 20's now. 🥰
One of my favorite male vocalists. Great pipes and a very nice falsetto. Danny’s Song is an oldie but goody. This Is It was written for his father and is a great song. ***Danger Zone, I’m Alright, Footloose made him “The 80’s movie soundtrack king.”
I forgot to add “Whenever I Call You Friend”, sung by Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks
A couple of my favorite beautiful Kenny ballads are 'Meet Me Half Way'...& 'Forever'
I’m sure if you react to both Danger Zone and footloose you’ll be saying “these are his songs?” Legend
Kenny has many hits. Danny's Song is one of my favorites.
Listen to the recording of this song from Loggins & Messina - with your headphones on - you will hear it circling around. "Watching the River Run" from the Full Sail album is another killer track.
My dad would play this for my sisters and I growing up. It’s such a sweet dad/child song and it’s so perfect that Pooh is your nickname for your son. ❤
I hope that you dive into Kenny Loggins play list. Danny's Song , Watching The River Run are two favorites as well as his early days with Loggins and Messina.
I hope you feel better soon!
My all time favorite from Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina was the LIVE version of " Vahevala " It runs just over 20 minutes, but it's a great performance.
Kenny was previously in a duo named Loggins &
Messina. They had some great songs.
Loggins liked Pooh as a child
This is it and Danny’s Song have always been my favorites!
Please dive into more Kenny...The Emmy-Nominated Outside: From the Redwoods (includes "What a Fool Believes" ft. Michael McDonald, "Love Will Follow" ft. Shanice, This Is It, and Conviction of the Heart). Other favorites: Nightwatch, Why Do People Lie, Wait A Little While, If You Be Wise, Too Early for the Sun!!!!!!!!
Check out the album "Sittin' In" by Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina, lots of great songs off that album!
Danny's Song, Celebrate Me Home, Heart to Heart are some of my faves. He is wonderful live. I was lucky enough to see him way back in his prime.
🤍🤍🤍ahh....my heart.
I love his voice!!! In this song it's so soft & beautiful, almost angelic. I don't know why I've never heard this song. He has some excellent songs for real. Great reaction AB!!! Praying for you & your family to feel better & also the mother of the person who sent the request in. May God Bless his mother with healing & get her through it. God Bless all of you. 🙏✝️🙏💜🙏
Thank you
You're very welcome 🙏✝️
Check out the duet, Whenever I Call You Friend, by him and Stevie Nicks.
He also sang on we are the world
Definitely a rabbit hole to go down!! Start with Heart To Heart.
I agree with, Danger Zone, Footloose, and I’m Alright, you definitely should do those!! I am not as familiar with this one actually, but Kenny Loggins is a great artist!!❤❤🔥🔥
Great reaction AB!!❤❤❤
He was in "We are the World" and you made a face or comment, I can't remember about him. He was a couple guys after Willie Nelson
If you feel like you would like to hear another lullaby, not now if you don’t want to, but anytime later, he does a cover of the songs called “The Last Unicorn” and “All the Pretty Little Ponies”. They are from the same album as “Return to Pooh‘s Corner”.
Other good songs are Conviction Of The Heart, Celebrate Me Home, Footloose, Danger Zone, This Is It, I’m All Right, and Danny’s Song
I love this song, and my 30 plus year old kids still love it ❤
Tall Trees. Good that you noticed that. That video was from his 1993 album : " Outside: From the Redwoods "
Another great cut from that album is "What a Fool Believes" with Michael McDonald. But EVERY cut on the album was a hit. I believe it was recorded at The Redwoods Amphitheater near Monterey Bay. It's on CD and DVD.
Love it! "Please Come To Boston" BEST SONG EVER
Please come to Boston is by Dave Loggins
@@phyllisfranks7739 I know, I just want to request it. One of my favorite all time songs! ❣️
I would suggest Angry Eyes and Vahevala from his colab with Jim Messina.
That whole Return to Pooh Corner album is amazing. I nannied when I was in my twenties and that was my go to at nap time... soothing for the kiddo and awesome for me. Also concur with others here... Danger Zone, Footloose, I'm Alright, Don't Fight It (with Steve Perry), I'm Free, and Playing with the Boys (also from Top Gun). And this is just his solo stuff. He was also in a group called Loggins and Messina in the 70s... listen to Danny's Song from them.
"Keep The Fire"!
LOVE me some Kenny Loggins. Check out:
This Is It
Heart To Heart
Ohhh… I love Kenny Loggins. And I miss Amy Grant with him on this song. The song he sings made for weddings is actually later on in his career, but I love it… “For the First Time.” Of course I’ve loved him since the first time I heard him do Footloose, Danger Zone, I’m Alright, and a ton more.
My absolute favorite is Danny's Song
Every 80's movie soundtrack. You really need to go back and do We Are The World again!
Highly recommend and enjoy other songs from that same concert.
You need to react to Celebrate me Home live. It is awesome!! He is amazing
Everyone is giving you great suggestions, but I will add that he has a couple of children's cds, which my son loved. Your son probably would, too. Good listening. Return to Pooh Corner and More Songs from Pooh Corner.
watch his duet with shanice from this same concert.
Angry Eyes or Danny's Song by Kenny
Pass….but with you!😁
Forgot about this?! Thanks for this review! 😊
Celebrate Me Home, This is It, Danny’s Song which he sings with Jim Messina or Your Momma Don’t Dance that he sings with Jim also. The whole concert that clip is from is amazing!
Celebrate Me Home, Rainbow Connection, and all the ones listed by others. What a talent and musical treasure.
My g'ma (aka Nina) I was super close to called me pooh bear 🥰
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band also did a great recording of this song.
I promise you'll be even more impressed with his voice if you listen to a number of other songs from this same concert, "Outside: From the Redwoods" from June 1983. My favorites are:
- What a Fool Believes (it's a great version of a big hit he cowrote with Michael McDonald and they perform together that I think you've reacted to)
- If You Believe (it takes you to church!)
I'm Alright (your gonna have to MOVE to this one!)
Kenny has an astounding voice. I've loved it for decades. I'm not as big of a fan of his hugely successful songs for movie soundtracks. Just personal preferences. But I treasure and often return to many songs from the earlier years of solo career. The range of styles and moods is impressive. Just a few of my favorites I hope you'll like:
Celebrate Me Home
Easy Driver
Lady Luck
Wait a Little While
Daddy's Back
Why Do People Lie
Nightwatch
This is It
I'm certain you'd also really enjoy many songs from his very successful partnership with Jim Messina in the band Loggins and Messina. That's where I first fell in love with his uniquely exoeessive voice. Studio versions are good but early live performances are awesome. A few suggestions
Angry Eyes
Nobody But You
Trilogy: Lovin' Me, Make a Woman Feel Wanted, Peace of Mind (I highly recommend the live concert version of this one.)
Back to Georgia
Hope you discover more Kenny Loggins music you love 💘
