I used to sing this to my son when he was a child. He’d giggle and giggle. Love that kind of laughter. He’s 28 now.
My mother used to sing this song to me when I was a child - I'm 28 now
After all these 50 plus years I still love it! Kenny is a legend. One of the best voices of folk/ pop/ rock music!
I feel like Kenny Loggins isn’t appreciated nearly enough for how great of a singer he is! I’m so glad you listened to him!
Kenny Loggins is an underrated genius. His songs can be beautiful and chill, but his use of the rhythm section and snappy lyrics make him just wonderful.
Thank you. His top gun stuff to him saving my sanity with his lullaby album when I had a colicky baby and I had 12 hours of sleep in weird bursts a week. As a single parent.
Absolutely!
This one gave me the chills. It has been a super long time since I have heard this. Who ever requested this song, thank you thank you thank you. Sweet sweet song.
Makes sure you hit the bell notification so you'll know when I go live. If you're in the premieres tonight. I'll go live so you can get the link from me if I decide to go live ok?
This song will reduce grown ass men to tears. A man and his son...
This song brings you back to innocence.
If you want to hear beautiful songs Kenny recorded for his son Luke.. It is called Return To Pooh Corner...I was given a cassette of the album by a big burly deckhand when I worked on the tugboat Honcho in the Gulf Of Alaska..he listened to this every night with ear plugs to fall asleep..He also told me if I ever said anything to the other crewman he would throw me over board...I am now in my 70's and still fall asleep listening to the album.
This is the same dude that did "Danger Zone" in top gun, "Footloose" and "I'm alright" (gopher scene) in Caddyshack.
He should know those since he says every song makes him think of a movie
wow,,,really?....you must be a really smart lil one!
His band was Loggins and Messina and later on his own. Love Kenny Loggins. Love Winnie the Pooh in both versions❤️❤️
I saw Jim Messina sing this last year. Great performance.
I had all their albums ❤️ until they broke up! Just wasn't the same.. Happy they did well on their own...🥰
What a voice. Like velvet on the ear. This Kenny Loggins song is one of my favorites.
My mother bought me this album when I had my first child. I used to rock and sing this song to my babies. Good memories. Mahalo 😊✌💓
I used to sing this beautiful song to my son Christopher while rocking him as a baby. He's 38 now, and has his own son also named Christopher. Still love this song after all these years.
I sang it to my Christopher, too!
Holy smokes.... Loggins is a must-do binge night. He has SO MANY hits, you'll flip hearing them!
This is actually, the 2nd version of this song. The 1st one is just called Pooh Corner. This one he wrote after his son was older. The 1st one is one,of my all time, favorite songs. My sister had it on a cassette and we would go on road trips to pick up records for her boyfriend who was a local singer.. She would be inside of the place and I would rewind it and play it over and over and sing at the top of my lungs. There have been some awesome, songs from the 70's just reminding,me of all thr awesome times I had as a kid.
Kenny Logging is one of the best singer/songwriters. Who needs drugs when you can listen to him and feel stress leave your soul.
I grew up having my Dad sing this song to me starting as a baby. We sang it together when I was little. And when my daughter was born he sung it to his ONLY miracle grandchild (grand daughter). I got it on video for her. 🎤
Kenny Loggins is the man!..this song always makes me cry because of the innocence..and yes that stage surrounded by the woods!,,!!!!!!! Gorgeous 💗🐻🌲🌲🌱🌿🌲 also I never thought about this but yes sort of similar to Michael j
The first one he wrote "House at Pooh Corner" came out in the 70s..ahhh Winnie the Pooh..love that that bear
Im right there with you on that!
He wrote and recorded a song titled Danny's Song that I think you would enjoy.
Yes he MRM react to Danny's Song, he wrote it for his brother as a gift
@@elainehaase6007 tought it was Annie's song.
John denver wrote annies song
This song makes me cry. Reminds me of being a little kid
A fantastic song sung in an ideal setting by the wonderful Kenny Loggins,,,brings back childhood memories of fun and joy
This was absolutely awesome!!!!
Loggins and Messina were my Mothers favorite band when I was a young child and she read me The Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh as a child and then this song came out so I had a connection, she passed on last year and this song made me cry in a way one does from joy and sorrow simultaneously.
when i was a baby my parents would sing this to me. it was the only thing that could get me to sleep
Love Kenny Loggins, Pooh Corner is my favorite song of his. Reminds me of childhood and how simple it should be. Can't type anymore, I'm crying too damn hard right now. I come from a very dysfunctional family.
I have a grand girl due in October. I got her the complete book collection of Winne the Pooh. So much to be learned.
Oh yeah love the song. Makes me cry every time I hear it.
I cry too maybe because it brings back memories of my youth. I'm 65 now and was about 20 when he released it..
The concert in the Red Woods is legendary...can't fault any of the songs from it...everyone like this were immaculately executed...Ty brother Ty
People dismiss this song because it’s about Winnie the Pooh. It’s really a song about the return to childhood. What a beautiful melody and amazing lyrics. One of my favorites!!
I like how he brings our childhood back to all of us...back to the house of Pooh. 💕😊🌹
Super beautiful. When you find ourself a baby born in heaven.
We all cry at lost childhood wonder like that of Winnie the Pooh. Lovely album Kenny wrote for his young ones and ours. Love and prayers.
Kenny Loggins seemed to change a bit after having children. I lost my oldest son several years ago, and Kenny Rogers version of "Baby Mine" (from the old Disney movie, "Dumbo") was really instrumental in helping me to grieve the loss. I hope you will find a video/audio of that song. It is SO beautiful and sad. I always had trouble crying for myself (although I could easily cry for others). "Baby Mine" was one of the songs which would always help me to get out and through the grieving process.
This concert was fantastic! My favorite song from this show was Leap Of Faith. Especially the guitar solo performed by the man sitting to Kenny's right. Please be sure to watch it (for a reaction or not).
My son had all Winnie the Pooh as a child. We almost didn’t make it and thank God we survived his birth and he battled complications from his birth. Thank God no cerebral palsy which was a huge risk. They said he would have seizures and learning disabilities. The seizures were outgrown with therapy and my son graduated magna cum laude from college and is now a product designer for a famous company. As a child Pooh bear comforted him, the movies and the song. The bear. So we are actually using it for our mother son dance early next year for his wedding. I’ll try not to ugly cry lol. ❤
this song makes cry every damn time reminds me of my childhood when things were simple
Your mama don't dance and your daddy don't rock and roll. Loggins and Messina were really good.
I remember sitting in a Target parking lot waiting for my wife and toddler son to shop. I was listening to this song. Now my son is 22.
kenny loggins had some big hits back in the 1980's. he was part of the original video/song "we the world." he has a solo part just before steve perry's solo.
You should listen to his song This Is It. His father was having major health issues and had decided to not get any further help for it, Kenny got mad at his dad for just giving up, and wrote it for him.
That song lays my heart wide open ❤️So much love in it!
People forget that the 70's were a much gentler time in American culture, easy listening songs like this one thrived in the era.
From the heart. He sings life stories from the center of life
Logins and Messina have gorgeous songs. You can’t go wrong. Any “Best of” them, throw a dart. Celebrate Me Home is a personal favorite but Angry Eyes, Watching the River Run, Pretty Princess, they’re all amazing.
Hi loving your channel been watching for the last few weeks first time commenting. Just wanted to share when I was a little girl my dad would play this on guitar and sing to us it has always been one of my favorite things. When my children were small every time we visited Grandpa he would play Pooh's corner for them. Can't wait till my daughter visits from out of state so that my dad can play this for his great-grandchildren as well. Keep up the great work loving all your videos.
Original Footloose music....is also Kenny Loggins. This Pooh song is first time hearing for me. So relaxing & chill out.❣️
I love seeing all the children in the audience… my mama used to sing this song to me as a kid
I love this. The whole album that this is from…. It has “All The Little Horses”, “Rainbow Connection” and so much more. It’s beautiful!
A song about childhood memories from Christopher Robins and Winnie The Pooh. It was a 1970 song that Kenny Logins wrote and first performed by 'Nitty Gritty Dirt Band' of 'Mr Bojangles' fame. Kenny Logins and former music partner Jim Messina recorded this song on their own album in 1971. The song was re-recorded in the mid 90's and this time was a duet with Christian/Gospel artist Amy Grant. This song may had been inspired by the A.A Milne book's 'The House at Pooh's Corner' from 1928. That book inspired the late Walt Disney of Mickey Mouse fame to commission some of the animated classics we had grown to love. Kenny Loggins of course has been well known for the 80's theme songs to 'Top Gun' (Tom Cruise movie) known as 'Highway to the Danger Zone' and the theme to 'Footloose' (Younger Kevin Bacon movie!).
You need to hear him on Heart to Heart! Absolutely an incredible song!!
Kenny Loggins is an amazing singer. He definitely has a soulful sound and very smooth tenor tone. Love your channel 💕 I listen to your channel every night while doing my homework. Lol.
What are you studying to do sis?
Modern Renaissance Man I’m getting my Master in Infrastructure Security Management (counter-terrorism).
My daughter sang this song to my grandson. I always sang The Irish Rovers The Unicorn And Bye Bye Biplane to my kids and would enjoy your reaction to these songs.
Kenny Loggins and Amy Grant did a duet of this song. Very beautful.
I get goosebumps every time I hear this song and am crying by the end... without fail. I think the first time I ever heard it was in 5th grade (roughly 1990) at Catholic summer camp. We were sitting around a campfire and one of the chaperones pulled out a guitar and sang it. Every time we got together after that, everyone would beg for it. The story with Winnie the pooh is really what touches me, ig... growing up is surreal.
the faces on the kids are so priceless
I hello I played this song to my daughters when they were little, and needed help to get then to go asleep in the early 90's. It is still the number #1 children's song today thank you kenny!
love loggins love messina!!!
Reminds me of when I was young in the AF and dating a beautiful blonde. Kate, if you are out there, I hope you have had a wonderful life.
Watching the River Run was my favorite song of his.
Kenny Loggins and Amy Grant did a beautiful duet of "House on Pooh Corner".
Love Kenny Loggins, especially this song. Reminds me when my kids were small and the world was a more peaceful place. Thanks.
Kenny’s best vocal delivery is on This Is It and Celebrate Me Home. He’s very soulful.
Try Loggins and Messina...I listened to them in nursing school in 1973-74. Our neighbor up the hill played them at night on the speakers from his band. I went to sleep listening to them floating down the hill. Jim Messina was in Buffalo Springfield and Poco. Check out "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield. Viet Nam war era. Written by Stephen Stills.
This is what I would call a nostalgia song, not because it IS an old song, but it speaks OF nostalgia. I think it goes to Kenny Loggins song writing abilities to write to any genre, including what amounts to a kid's song. I think too many accomplished musical artists have too much pride to write about "Christopher Robin and Pooh." Maybe I'm getting sappy in my old age, but it makes me misty when he says "Sleeping there, with my bear by his side ... I swear that old bear whispered, 'boy, welcome home'."
Brings a smile to my face as well pal.
Try his studio version of 'Forever'. He tried it several yrs ago live on a David Foster Hit Man show & he couldn't reach the soaring highs in his later 60s. Excellent reaction!
His album of the same name was the music I played for my infant granddaughter. It’s a very soothing one for babies.
I've always loved this! It really catches the essence of Christopher Robin, and Winnie the Pooh! My favorite Kenny Loggins composition was "Leader of the Band", a song he wrote about his father. I saw him in concert in the early 80s. A wonderful musician and story teller!
Love the song, "Leader of the Band" but I believe that is a Dan Fogelberg song. He's another one to listen to!
That’s Dan Fogelberg...but they’re kind of in that same group of singer songwriters!
I believe Leader of the Band was a Fan Fogelberg song, not Kenny Logging. I know, it's easy to get them mixed up...
Sorry, autocorrect messed it up Dan not "Fan"!
Kenny Loggins was a 17-year-old high-school senior, staring down his impending adulthood, when he wrote "House at Pooh Corner." The song was inspired by A.A. Milne's 1928 book "The House at Pooh Corner," a collection of short stories about Winnie the Pooh and the rest of the inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood.
But by 1970 - when the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band wanted to record the song - Pooh had been turned into a Disney character, and the company's lawyers tried to stop the song from being released. That's where fate stepped in.
The song was also included on Loggins and Messina's 1971 album "Sittin' In." Loggins told the story of "Pooh Corner" to Bart Herbison, executive director of Nashville Songwriters Association International.
The Album “Return to Pooh Corner” is excellent. I discovered it working in nursery school; it was our magic nap time soundtrack. I still use it with young nappers to this day. Still magical.
I used to play this for my daughter when she was a baby. He did a lot of great songs . Meet me halfway your mama don't dance danger zone
Absolutely love love love that you did this song reaction. Sooo nostalgic and one of my favs. Takes me back to the 70's and the Winnie the Pooh books and movies. Thanks
BEAUTIFUL.......... WISH iCOULD SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE IN THE 100 ACRE WOODS OF POO AND FRIENDS
Winnie the Pooh., a time of innocence. The studio version is much slower. I like it better though this is good too.
I cry everytime I hear this... Childhood memories 👍💞🥺😥 Christopher Robbin books were my childhood favorite. Winnie the Pooh
Just imagine his concert full of stoners all yelling "Play House at Pooh Corner!" Years later, I would sing or play it to my grandkids when they were real fussy and this would calm them down.
I love the last new verse! One of my favorite songs of his.
He has a beautiful amazing song called meet me halfway that you should hear.
This song was awesome.
Pooh was my sons favorite when he was little. This is his song
This song brings to mind all the sweet little boys that are dreamers my son, and my grandson's.I love this because all these boys grow up too soon.
I'm not crying. You're crying!
Celebrate Me Home - which has turned into a Christmas favorite. Who's Right, Who's Wrong and a bunch of others. I have a lot of his music.
New years is another good time to enjoy Kenny.
As much as I love the song... I get teary eyed
If you have your own solo part in the song "We Are The World" alongside MJ and other great American singers in the 80's, you must be a really good singer. #KennyLoggins
Hes a really accomplished musician. Has been around for a long time. Check him out further!
Found the cd in a thrift store last week.I played this entire album last night from front to back and it became an instant favorite.
One of my favorite songs, breaks me every time I hear it.
Kenny Loggins is awesome 💚 a great song for all ages 👍👍👍
Since you love this so much, you ought to watch the entire concert. We bought it on VHS years ago. Kenny Loggins Outside: From the Redwoods & Sade Live (also on VHS) was watched regularly for quite a while in our house.
Sade is so amazing live!
My daughter is grown. I used to play this for her after I read her a story, while she was going to sleep. I haven't heard this in years. I ain't gonna lie...it brought tears to my eyes. Thanks man.
Thanks for reacting to this one, dont hear it often. Sweet and happy song but I get a lump in my throat over the passing of time and lost innocence.
Thank you so much for reacting to this. ♥️
I would sing this song to both of our children each night .... it’s one of my favorite memories being their father.
This song was included on Loggins and Messina's first album "Sittin' In" and all the tracks are great but next you should hear from this album are "Nobody But You" and "Trilogy: Lovin' Me, To Make a Woman Feel Wanted, Peace of Mind" then from other albums they did "Watching the River Run", "Lady of My Heart" and ""Be Free"".
I remember being about 5 when I first heard this and I loved it. Of course I loved Winnie the Pooh and the gang. Brings me way back.
Oh my gosh, one of my very favorite songs ever! Danny’s song is another great one!
I was not expecting to like this, but this is sooo sweet and very relaxing. I loved seeing all the band members playing their instruments
I’ve always like the job he did on “I’m alright”. Yes, lt’s from a movie, I will not say which one!
Love this! I agree 100% with you.
You may wanna check out some of his earlier music when he sang with Jim Messina- Loggins and Messina. ❤️
I haven't heard this in a very long time. Nice song!
