Keziah Campbell is so pretty when it's stitched up. The year her mom died, I stitched it for one of my cousins. I changed the verse to "Your mother's prayers still protect you", and I put it in a pretty antique frame. It gave my cousin a lot of pleasure and comfort.

I just watched both of your videos. Wow! Such beautiful stitching of all those samplers. Yes, your channel should be named gorgeous!! I remember stitching bears and geese in the 80's! I don't think I have a single one of them anymore. Stitching sure has come a long way over the years. The antique sampler you are reproducing is beautiful. Looking forward to your next video!

You took me back to the 89’s with the geese and teddy bears. I think my Mom still has some pieces hanging up in her house. Along with a lot of Told in the Garden stitching. Lovely recap of Summer School, I am beginning to get excited for my retreat at Hobby House Needleworks in October. I love a good Scottish sampler too. What a beautiful gift from your son, my boys love my stitching too and get me gift certificates at our local framer. My son just got engaged and I thought a Scottish sampler for our side and an Italian sampler for his fiancée’s side would be a perfect gift. The Old Scot is a beautiful sampler, I actually have this almost done but when I started it, I did it on 34 count with 2 strands and it’s just in time out, I really need to finish it, the pink thread does come through in this sampler but I think your linen would be a great choice. Jane is beautiful! Have fun stitching.

Grace, thank you for sharing the blast from the past! The geese!!! I remember the geese and the bears. A friend at work had stitched most of a goose with a blue bow. She was planning her wedding and asked me if I’d finish the goose and make it into a ring bearer pillow. I offered to do something else but she really loved that goose. Hadn’t thought of that in years. Hope that you were able to stitch and stay cool in this California heat wave!🪡🪡

So enjoyed your Flosstube. I think the chart from the 80s was an old Gordon Fraser design who designed under the Gloria and Pat books. Back in the day, I did several of his Geese and bunnies and of course on 14 ct. Look how far our industry has come! Hope to see more of your videos. Hi Grace, thank you for the wonderful video. I want to let you know how I deal with the older pieces, I see it as if our cross stitch patters will one day be “old” so my solution, I have a wall going to upstairs , I have the boys school pictures going up the wall, so I blended in my Precious Moments in with them, and each boy asked if they could have them for their home, my answer we no, BUT, I will be proud to teach your wife to cross stitch and then it will be YOUR family wall 💕

The antique sampler at the very beginning....what is the stitcher’s name? Maybe, as you get more into videoing, you could insert the name at the bottom of page or in the drop down box. I thought it was gorgeous and would like to be able to watch for the chart when available 😁.

Grace, I love that new Norfolk sampler, but haven’t seen the size any place. What’s the stitch count? You picked some beautiful things up at the Attic. I love a shaker box as well! I needlepointed some pretty massive geese in the 80s, but don’t think I cross stitched any.
I’m in the South Bay Area of Los Angeles and have never made it to the Attic. Soon, I hope.

Hi Susan! I love that you did needlepoint of geese in the 80’s!! The size of the Norfolk Sampler is (and this is in inches, with a 3 inch border for mounting/framing):
      32 count 23.5” x 21.5”
      36 count 21.5” x 19.5”
      40 count 19.5” x 18”
      45 count 18” x 16”
