Thank you so much for the video!!! I just love the visits to your shop by video. I wish to visit in person but it’s not affordable for me so I live by watching. I just wait for each time you do these. Everything is so beautiful!!!
Morning ladies,,,, The tarts with the new starts always makes me smile... watching from Scotland... so many samplers oam me wish list... If I was living closer I would come and work in your shop.... just a wee tad too far away... :) It would be brilliant if we could all be like Samantha in Bewitched,,, wiggle me nose and I would be there.. if only... I would be like Nicola need to buy a couple o extra cases... we can all dream.... Happiness is stitching / crafting...
What a FABULOUS surprise to see this video come up! You NEVER DISAPPOINT! Every time I think I couldn't possibly need more & more show up that I MUST HAVE! Thank you both for sharing your time with us. Jean, have a wonderful girls weekend.
Well this was a banner day! Getting to hang out in the shop with the two of you. Surcharge gorgeous stitching and beautiful models! Seriously made my day! It’s almost like I got to make a trip to the attic! Thank you!! Xoxo
What a fabulous surprise for a Thursday that was looking very dull indeed! It made my morning to sit and stitch with you both - have a fabulous time in Oregon, Jean!
So now I finished the whole video. I honestly don't know how you can stand to be amongst all of that loveliness!!! Each one you show is better and better!! In the butterflies garden is my new favorite today after Rae's W. Wallace of course... I had hoped to be able to visit when our son was in Arizona for Army training but then covid interrupted my shopping plans. Living in Pennsylvania makes a trip to your store a very long commute!
Oh you have just made my day, I just flicked on to UA-cam and there you were. You are simply the best, I laugh, learn, add so many charts, linens to my 'I wish' list ( second life time needed) and go a lovely shade of envy. I am planing to watch you this afternoon, UK 🇬🇧 TIME ❤
You will never know how much you both lift my spirits. I live in the UK and don't have access to an LNS, so to see shop tours, really helps me look at all the lovely new things to buy and see samplers that I didn't know existed. You are both so positive and such an inspiration and I cannot thank you both enough xx I keep rewatching all of your You tubes!! xx
It was wonderful to see you both!!!! I am so in love with the red sampler from Jean’s personal collection!!!! It’s stunning and there are so many more 😀. I am even more excited about Summer School ( if that is even possible ). Thank you for making the video and sharing a slice of the beautiful Attic Needleworks Shop! See you soon 😗
So wonderful to see you two, I have my list going for summer school shopping 😁. My husband is also looking forward to seeing you ladies again. We love you ladies and all of the wonderful stichy sweetness your shop brings
I was so happy to see another Attic Needlework video today! You ladies are so fun snd so talented. Thank you for continuing to make videos. I'm sure I'm not alone in likely never being able to visit your shop because of living too far away. So this is wonderful being able to experience your shop online and see all the amazing charts, linens and notions. Thank you for sharing the beauty!
38-count sounds like something I have to try, since no 40 is available. Gorgeous fabrics, I Always look at My Work 3 feet away. Nice Exclusives. The Smyrna stitches give that so much texture, very nice, Fun video, lots of eye candy.
Oh my oh my! Such a treat to watch and listen to you both and feast upon the delicious samplers! So look forward to getting a spot, someday, to one of your retreats and visit the store! Thank you for sharing!
Oooh those Samplers in The Attic are beautiful! Especially love the first one you showed! Eeeeeeeeeeee you are coming to Portland….I hope you guys share pics, Jeanine is so awesome ❤️❤️
I loved this floss tube episode! Can you tell me more about using a beading needle? Am I correct in hearing you say it’s a must when stitching on the higher count? I have not tried anything higher than 36 count linen. Please, please tell me how in the world you can stitch on the higher counts? Do you use a magic magnifier? Thank you for your store and passing along your knowledge.
Only just found you so I’ve been binge watching….what a treat. I can’t find the one with your favourite red thread, Jean. Can you please tell me what the colour and brand it is?
So nice to see you again, but you may want to stay in Arizona, it will be cooler THERE this weekend! Portland will be 102! The Samplers are gorgeous, you can never show too many!
I had the privilege of going to your shop and had a wonderful time shopping. Everyone was so nice. One thing I didn’t ask was do you have a needle minder with The Attic symbol on it. Love your flosstube also.
Just watched your lovely floss tube. I was very interested in the beautiful “In the Butterfly’s Garden”. Could it be that an “n” is missing between “Giacomi” and “a”. Giacomina is an Italian girls name version of Giacomo, or James in English. Maybe Giacomina Cigada stitched it in 1846! However the Italian alphabet does not include j, k,or w…so she either knew English or copied an English sampler style
I have a question. I'm 85 and with it. However, I spend more time counting and recounting especially borders with rambling patterns. Then when I stitch truly spend more time frogging than stitching. I assume when the are charting the pattern they must know the count in each section of the border. Why can't they put it in the count of each section of those borders next to the section. I'm doing Blackbird- Come into my garden. Hopefully, I will live long enough to finish it for a pillow for my sofa. I do enlarge the pattern to make it easier to see, but still have to count , count and recount. I think it would be a tremendous help to have just the border lines counting listed. Thank you so much for your consideration. Enjoy your videos and would love to visit your shop, but alas. Thanks again.
I believe the Italian might be a name, not “butterfly garden.” . Butterfly is “farfelle” (like the pasta which is a butterfly shape) and garden is “giardano.” Love all the beautiful samplers that you share with us!
La farfalla is butterfly in Italian-I went to Google Translate-anyway Cigada is a last name-there was a famous Italian baritone born in 1878 with that last name (Francesco was his first name). And Giacomi is a last name, too. Speaking of 'to' "a" in Italian means "to" --so could it be Giacomi to love Cigada?? (Ci is pronounced like ch ) I took Italian in hs but that was a looooong time ago. Loved your video-hope to visit someday! Thanks!!
PS a heart with a cross on top = sacred heart--I couldn't find half a heart except somebody asking about that symbol after s/he saw the DaVinci Code lol. Sorry not to be more helpful-but super interesting!
I just caught this video. I'm working on a Dr Who which is mostly words, just a few pics around the edge, and I hate it. Not much variety and every line are in a different font. As I stitched what I think is a bow tie in red, against black I realized for the third time, that I'd done it wrong. A miscount on a row throws off the other rows. That's just when you were saying that Jean says no removing stitches. Well, now what? Oh...look a black marker sitting next to me. I blacked out the wrong stitch and voila...no more miscount. It's a gift but they'll never see it.
What a wonderful video! I was about to go to bed, but then the two tarts popped up on my computer, and I had to watch! So much beautiful stitching, it boggles my mind. Thank-you for showing us around your shop. I wish I could visit, but I live so far away in South Alabama. Have a great rest of your week. At least I can email or call in an order. Please tell me again what the first fabric that Carolyn showed is called-is it Irish coffee or Irish creme? And it is in 38 count? I need some of that! Pam Miller
