Honestly this movie was Tyler’s best writing. It was all downhill from here with dialogue quality. It was the best film as well.

The thing is, Tyler's movies in the 2010 era became more COMICAL than SERIOUS . This Movie made you laugh hard but think and feel. This is a good balance of laughing and crying too. His post movies seemed much more laugh, laugh, laugh, cry just a little bit. Witness Protection was like 98 percent COMEDY, and 2 percent Serious. The 2 percent of Serious was a CEO being blamed for a Ponzi Scheme he didn't even know had happened in the first place and a young man trying to make his Father proud of him by putting his Father's Congregation money in what he thought was a GOOD Investment only to find out in horror that he accidentally put the money in a Ponzi Scheme Scam. Ouch. Madea goes to jail was more Comedy than SERIOUS. The only Serious parts where Candace, a Prostitute being put into jail for 17 years for agreeing to having sex for money with an Undercover Cop when her Sentence should have been a year at the most. Turns out, a vindictive Prosecutor (Said Prosecutor was Resentful that her Fiance was Friends with Candace) falsely added crimes to her Dossier.
