Don't change a thing. Saber is the best all-around 2-stroke product that AMSOIL sells. Interceptor is formulated with extra detergents to keep the exhaust power valves clean on snowmobiles. Dominator is formulated with extra anti-wear additives to prevent wear in high-performance racing engines. Saber has both detergents and anti-wear, but is formulated in a more balanced product. Synthetic Injector oil is formulated for price-sensitive customers. I assume you are using AMSOIL products in all of your lawn business equipment fleet? If not, let's talk! Tom Brown, 678-787-3028
@@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom Oh yes I have been on dealer status since 1992 since I use so much of the product. Amsoil is in everything I own. My KTM has an exhaust pv as well so I assume that Sabre will still keep it clean. I don't ride the bike very hard and have always used Sabre in it since after its first tank of fuel.
I've always ran Amsoil HP Injector in my artic cat f7 since brand new. what whould be the best replacement for it since HP Injector is discontinued? can I mix interceptor with the Hp Injector since their different colors? and does anyone know why they took HP Injector off the market?
AMSOIL Interceptor (Product Code AIT) is the top recommendation for most 2-stroke snow machines. It provides outstanding protection and detergents to keep the exhaust power valve clean.
@@Best-Synthetic-Oilscom what about comparing the amsoil dominator? I watch quite some videos still not sure what should I get, of coz I want the maximum protection to my engine but I'm not revving crazy as a racer....
@@KK1928 Dominator is a racing oil that places emphasis on wear protection in high performance engines, but it sacrifices the cleaning power that comes with high detergent oils. Interceptor is a high performance oil designed for engines that need to stay clean, such as 2-stroke engines with exhaust power valves. You can't run high doses of anti-wear and detergents in the same oil, or it will cause interference. I would use Interceptor or use AMSOIL Saber 2-stroke and custom tune your mix ratio to obtain best performance. It can be mixed down to 100:1. If your bike has injector system, I'd use Interceptor.
Amsoil website recommends the dominator racing oil for my 400 2 stroke Polaris. But it also says it’s for engines that get tore down and inspected frequently. I’m told because it doesn’t clean very well. Well a Polaris 400 is not meant to be torn down once a year and I need a longer term oil. Wouldn’t interceptor be better??
Best-Synthetic-Oils.com thanks. I emailed amsoil about it and they never replied back. I double checked and the website still recommends dominator for a 1999 Polaris 400 2 stroke
@@JohnnyRebKy Both are great oils, but Interceptor has more detergents, but less anti-wear additives. Dominator is the opposite. You can't max out both, or the additives fight each other. Interceptor best for non-racing engines that need to stay clean.
AMSOIL recommends Dominator Synthetic 2-Stroke Racing Oil (product code TDR) for the KTM XC-series 300 bikes. The Interceptor 2-Stroke oil featured in this video is designed for 2-stroke engines that are equipped with Exhaust Power Valves. As such, Interceptor oil is formulated with a very high dose of detergents to keep the EPV clean, but that limits anti-wear additive dosing, and detergents and anti-wear additives compete against each other at higher rates. The Dominator oil has more wear protection than Interceptor, but less detergents. Both are excellent oils, but just blended for different environments.
Best-Synthetic-Oils.com Would it be wise to run the dominator oil in a injected power valve snowmobile if my main goal is engine longevity? I dont mind cleaning my power valves every 5-6 rides. I do mind paying $2500 to fix motors.
What about dirt bikes? I have been using Sabre since 2009 in my KTM. Would Interceptor be better?
