The thing that makes this hard. About halfway through.. it sounds amazing. Change a few things, still amazing. It's hard to pick between all the amazing sounds that are slightly different. I end up saving like 15 versions of the same patch sometimes
Thanks for a great tutorial. Subtractive synthesis is usually described along the lines of sculpture, chipping away at a pool of frequencies to create the desired sound. You initially created the source material (adding colour, texture and a sense of space to the ‘granite’) before nibbling away the excess. Then you polished the sound via extra envelopes etc. This was all forethought, not a single ‘twiddle the knobs and pray’ step along the way. Very cool.
Hi! Just got a rev2 and this tutorial is so precious... I think I missed a few things on the effects env, but I'll work it later ;) Question for you: can you explain what software you use to copy Layer A on Layer B ? Thanks !
Your tutorials are ridiculously good.
Wow, I never even knew of these DSI dedicated tutorials! 😁
I recently got a Rev2 and these tutorials help me a lot, I really appreciate it :)

Thanks for that...Yeah, I think the key to it is having a process to follow, rather than a random approach as you mentioned...glad you noticed it. :)
GEOSynths And now I have twelve years of your material to delve into. This channel is one of UA-cam’s better recommendations. Cheers!
