Cool video, one thing I kind of wish you guys would do is not click bait with things like "best" in your videos where you then outright say what it is isn't actually the best. Like Cotton's video on the Machina weapons, or this one. You could have left it at secret armor, and he could have said new best looking or something, just feels misleading to see "best" then be told "Not really the best".

I find Arena quests to be extremely hard given the weapon selection they offer and the quality (or rather absence of it) of their builds. Yeah, I am also LBG main and I dont know how to play LS, lol. Maybe that's the key to Arena quests.
Ehh not really, it’s fairly ez as long as you have a general understanding of at least 3-4 weapons the way they do it is by putting weapons into groups of 2-3 and give you one from each group For example bow-lbg-hbg are one group that you typically get just 1 of the 3 per quest, so if you play all three you will always have a weapon to play That’s being said I can understand why people that’s just play one weapon would be frustrated when it’s gone

And even within Gunner classes (and I would place Bow there, although in some aspects it is closer to Blademaster game-mechanics wise) there is difference between types of ammo and lots of other small intricacies. Plus, with guns, You just tend to run out of ammo and in Arena You cant go back and restock. I tried one of 1* quests, and was generally frustrated with the type of gun I was offered. I spent most of the ammo which appeared to be primary one, and then realised that all I have to do, was to use another ammo in its special mode (which I never do with HBG, unless it's wyverfire, lol).
Sometimes its a decent way to learn a new weapon. A friend of mine was a solo weapon player for a while but fell in love with bow after trying it in an arena quest back in 4U.
It's to bad those arena quests have limited options. If it were up to me all the options would be GreatSword. Different types of GreatSword but nothing but GreatSword. Because it is GREAT and if you're going to play in the arena you should be seeking to be Great at everything you do which means weilding GreatSword!
You know what, I'd like to pioneer a speedrun category in Monster Hunter: Cart%. Being entirely serious. I'd love to see how you can optimize to cart as fast as you can in a quest.
@@TornaitSuperBird shouldn't be too hard. Don't equip armor and don't eat. After that it's just getting the aggro of the nearest monster on the map and eating a single hit. Done. It's only a racing game though :D
You should do a video on the armor sets you get from the Argosy/Meowcenaries. Along with the rare items from different item requests and different locales, the Argosy also has a new set you can get with backroom deals turned on. This pirate set is the ultimate farming set, with Capture Master, Goodluck, Partbreaker, and even Wex for some damage. It's pretty late in the armor tree so it has good defense as well.
Esp's arena lance loadout made me a seething Bazel if they just switched the instant block to red scroll instead of blue scroll i'd be alot less salty with that one xD
Have you guys considered doing a video on the jungle relic records? I've taken a look at them myself and I think they hint at a new monster coming in one of the title updates
RIse and Sunbreak have the worst Arena quests in all of MH history when compared to the arena quests of the previous games. I despise them. Why do they have no faints permitted? The arena quests are indeed meant to be a challenge and test of skill, but they also serve the purpose for the player to experiment a bit with other weapons and gimmicks they wouldn't necessarily use. This would then also maybe generate an interest in them and try to use those tactics with better more personalised gear. That is how I got my interest in lance back in Freedom 2/Unite and a small interest Gunlance in 4U but then Generations ruined that. It's so annoying. The Espinas one is a nightmare to do with randoms. We had the standard 2 faints allowed through out most of the series then the weirdly ( maybe too generous) 9 faints in Iceborne's MR quests to no faints in Rise.

This isn't "skill issue". This is about humans no matter how skilled can make mistakes and it feels like Rise's arena quests expects you to play perfectly. The Espinas one especially is a nightmare to do with randoms. And I will admit the scroll system has also screwed with my basic understanding of the other weapons moves I don't main and I am not too familiar with.
I sincerely hope that in the future we don't have a repeat of the armor piece being given by clearing each weapon of each arena quest. It isn't very enjoyable to slog through arena quests in awkward gear setups with only 1 cart apiece. Edit: not a big fan of the arena sets but they do make fabulous layered armors.

No. Unless there are more than the 5 Arena quests. (Im waiting for a friend to catch up before going into post game) I completed all arenas with all weps with at least 1 S grade. (Including the ones from HR LR) No rewards .......not even a congratulations. As a result all my sets have less a HR helmet in (unless I go full on try hard Min/Max set)

I always hated how awesome the brigade set looks on males, and shitty it looks on females :( but the other new one looks amazing! Sucks knowing I'll never get it...like how are you supposed to beat that rajang lol
It's definitely not as strong as it was in High Rank because all of the pieces only have one large deco slot each. Unless we get better lv 3 and 4 decos, most endgame mixed sets are much better at getting you a wider range of skills. Also Dragonheart isn't as good because afflicted monsters can deal out some serious damage.
I hate arena quests and only ever use them to advance the quest day by failing them. I just don't find them fun, I didn't spend half an hour in armor menu min maxing my build to just not use it.
why capcom loves to make just.... horrible, awful LBG sets for the arena, i just don’t know. i’m having more trouble just doing the first crab quest just cuz the set it sooooo bad to the point of almost unusable. the bow and hbg sets are fine, and they even did this a lot in World. in one Nergi challenge quest, the LBG was like 2 or 3 rarity levels below everything else and i don’t know why. here, the 1st one has no recoil, reload, or steadiness levels at all and it makes me nuts. i swear, they don’t like gunners 😤
not a gunner myself, but mixed sets always hold the most flexibility. no full set has the pefect setup sadly. Gotta pick and choose what you're looking for.

Completed the quests earlier extremely enjoyable. Happy me and this random got mostly S ratings on our time.

I used to hate these quests when I was one of those people that are one trick ponies that could only use 1 weapon and couldn't adapt. I love them now
