Cattle Battle: Mead Stampede organizers will brew up a special batch of mead featuring: milk, cereal, and honey. Here’s the challenge: we just gave you the ingredients, but not the recipe. You brew with these ingredients - trying your best to guess what the challenge mead tastes like. Whichever entry gets the closest in flavor to the official brew will be declared the winner!

I had a vendor that works with my company (my day job), ask how to make mead as he heard I brew a lot of beer. I told him, although I have a ton of meads planned, I told him to go to your channel and sent him a link. I told him you were the go to for Mead knowledge. Keep up the great work.

Entered two of my best! First competition!
I just started doing this about 6 months ago. And I love the things I make but my wife gives me no feedback. She just says it’s smells good, it smells like pure alcohol or just pushes it away. She won’t drink it. I’m here in Duncan Ok. I just did a dark Irish stout with honey in it. I think it’s called a Braggot. But WOW I took some to a friend of ours and they loved it. After the night was over they took 4 more bottles out of my chest.
Definitely doing this next year, not quite there yet but getting better with every batch.

Three 12 ounce bottles. One for judging, one for if it goes to mini best of show in its category, and one for best of show judging if it gets gold in its category. 🥂

Right after I titled it that, I briefly considered putting Bob Saget in the thumbnail
I started brewing about two months ago, so I’ll wait till next year to subject you to my meads. Can’t wait to see how it goes!

I started working on my cattle battle mead the day I heard what it would be. What crazy insane person decided on this combo, especially the milk. I plan on joining if the mead shows any signs on not being dumped in the sink.
I think we have Will (aka Chef online) to thank for that one.

Not entering this year wich is a bummer but I am working on new brews and plan on entering next year and also into Mazercup but I am gonna make sure it is right before doing more.

First time submitting to mead stampede. When can I ship my bottles? I know the deadline is 6/30 but wanting to know if I can ship them out this week or if I have to wait?
Our shipping location really wants us to adhere to the shipping window (they have to sign for and keep track of everything, and that's easiest when they all come in at once.) If you have an extenuating circumstance like travel, etc, we can help you work around that if you send us an email to info@meadstampede.org. Cheers!
