Dropping a Dragon sandwich at the base of Fury Falls, is great. It allows you to go into the Firescourge Shrine cave where the shrine is to spawn a ton of Noibat and Noivern. Hey Austin, For Iron Moth, i have found a very nice spot to despawn them. If you go to Area 1, Go behind the building after you exit, go all the way to the end where theres the "Fake" research centre, nothing spawns there when on fire sandwich. But infront of that theres a clearing which only spawns Iron Moth when on sandwich

Just be careful when u start to move away from them. Also caught impimped in same area off the same “shiny fairy sandwich.” And Marill at the lake area.
I truly appreciate your candor. You even edit yourself in correcting your mistakes, even making jabs at yourself occasionally. Your candor is admirable :)
Hi AJP, there's also an easy spot for Ralts, you just need to reset the spawn in the first town, in front of the Pokémon Center, if you have psychic sandwich just Ralts will spawn
For the people still having trouble with the Slandit shiny, you can use a Sylveon with Cute Charm to make it so you have a 66% change of encountering the opposite gender, so with Salandit you would use a Male Sylveon with Cute Charm and for Gallade you would use a female Sylveon with Cute Charm for example.
Managed to get a shiny murkrow and meowth within five minutes of each other last week. Got a other shiny murkrow last night. All three were full odds. On another note, you sir, are the real MVP when it comes to these videos. Thank you for the work you put in to these.
This works really well for zorua too, that's how I got mine, surprisingly, because there's multiple dark types spawning where I was, but for some reason it's almost exclusively zorua. Anyway, the place I did it was just North - North - West of Medali (literally just up the slope right there just out of town that direction, if you see lots of Maschiff after sandwiching you probably went too far), activate a dark sandwich, way better results with mystica (also better during day, still works at night, but you get lots of fake murkrow too at night), I used the hamburger version. Almost all the spawns will be Mabosstiff(actually zoruas) You should see hardly any Maschiff if you're in a good spot. The annoying part is you can't see the shiny, so just auto battle until your pokemon refuses. Hope this helps someone looking for the blue lad :]
as an addition to this video, if anyone is looking for Eiscue shiny, the easiest way I found is the beach behind where you farm chansey. Just go back and forth on the sand and you should find them pretty quickly.
@@truf6117 North Province (Area Three). Right by the fairy Team Star base. Eat a ham sandwich for encounter power: normal. He goes there at 20:24 actually.
This video is extremely useful! Another hunt I've found while going through some of yours that is fairly easy is lokix. While doing the venomoth hunt, if you continue down that path and get to the higher level of the rocky area in area zero, where iron thorns and sandy shocks usually spawn. There's gonna be a ton of lokix spawning now, and since the shiny is yellow it's hard to miss. You can just cycle between each area and hunt both lokix and venomoth at the same time. From my efforts this was the only place I could find that spawned a lott of lokix without any other bug types spawning. Thanks man for all your helpful videos, keep them coming!
Gotta say Austin because of your videos I've caught a whole box of pokemon in under 3 days massive thank you for making my time on this game so much better
Just wanted to say thank you for all the work you put into each one of these videos it’s honesty incredible. The videos are also always incredible and everything covered in them is in such great detail. The amount of work you put is remarkable thank you so much.
I just bought Violet last night and after passing the lighthouse in the beginning I immediately encountered a shiny Psyduck in the first little creek. It was so easy idk whether to feel lucky or not lol.
Me too 😂 like brought the violet version and open it up for the first time ever And literally the first route of the game Boom a shiny ✨ piggy 🐷 in the bank 😂 That went well for me as the second week I drop down from a cliff by the lighthouse of the electric city that I just went for Gyarados, but accidentally caught a shiny luvdisc instead 😅 Like you gotta love that man
I love how you always add in that sound when you encounter a shiny, really makes me wish we could have some sort of notification like in PLA. I aways wonder how many shinies people have walked past just cause some mons are so small and/or their shiny is so similar to their original colour.
Same here. I found a shiny mudbray early in my playthrough but I've gotten nothing since then so I'm positive I've just been missing them. There are so many shinies that are barely distinguishable from the base form too so it's extra frustrating
Thanks for working so hard on your scarlet and violet content Austin, it makes shiny hunting so much easier! By the way there’s a typo in the thumbnail 😅
Was hunting for Dunsparce and Dundunsparce during this video and got 3 😂 It's so easy to get shinies of that Pokémon. Hopefully, one evolves into the three segment form!
Honestly, these videos are just super helpful - and I love the way Austin explains things, instead of rushing through like I see in other 'tutorial' type videos. Plus I just find them chill to have in the background as I play my own game. Managed to get the shiny charm just before the end of 2022 which I was really happy with after using his guide on finding the remaining stakes needed to unlock the shrine Pokemon. Managed to get a decent handful of shinies to - including some of the hard to spot ones like Paldanean Toruos in Violet. Almost ran past that one! Plus used the isolating method to get two shiny Charcodet in Tangtree forest and have evolved them both into their respective forms
the Kilowattrel spot (and to the east of that lighthouse too) is pretty good for Eiscue. You can get Cloyster in the deeper water, but Eiscue spawns on the beach for Violet players, and is a super obvious shiny (it's bright pink)
Dreepy is a fun hunt too. If you go down to research base 4, and head to the VERRRYY BOTTOM where the water is it’s not necessarily an isolated encounter BUT they LOVE the watery area there. It was a lotta fun hunting a ton of them I am hoarding shiny dreepy 🤣
Thank you so much Austin, I followed your isolated encounter method to get Impidimp/Morgrem, I did not catch a single one of them, but I captured 5 Mimikyu instead 🥵
So, we've learned 2 things in this video, 1. Some of the easiest pokemon that we can shiny hunt without drastically changing our odds 2. Austin has some of the craziest shiny luck ever
Just as you mentioned the scatterbug line at 19:38, I remembered how just a few days ago (i think 2-3) I had a vivilon become curious of my trainer while I was in the middle of saving after a blissey encounter. No specific/special meal power or anything (nor shiny charm); though I did had to run after him so he didn't despawn/ get stuck in the team star fence. I love my little guy. And the next day after I found him a friend; I got a shiny vroom in an outbreak (again while also saving). Congrats on all your shiny buddies! :)
Iron Valiant can be hunted using fairy encounter power and fairy sparkling power using the same route as Iron Hands. I did it in ~5 minutes and only Iron Valiant spawned. Much better than the cave behind those rocks that most people use as nothing but Iron Valiant spawns so you don't have to worry about things like Greavard and Houndstone taking up spawns.
Thank you for this. Sometimes I gaslight myself into thinking the shiny doesn't exist or I'm doing something wrong so seeing these things certainly helps.
OMG I REALLY RELATE ive been shiny hunting for sprigatito for a few days now and sometimes i just gaslight myself into thinking im doing something wrong haha
I just did the hunt for fidough, i think its much easier than first thought to spot Klefki (in the daytime) because of the new textures they have for metal pokemon... the second it spawned in I was able to tell it was shiny.
This is my first comment here and I have to say that learning your Isolated Encounter Methods from earlier videos has trained me to notice the specific Pokémon of each biome and I’ve YET to have a single isolated encounter fail. I’ve actually caught several mons from this video on my own beforehand using your method and I’ve got to thank you man- I’ve never had so much fun shiny hunting before 🎉
Isolate Encounter method has been the best method 👌 Been using it since the Area Zero video! Thankful for all the work you've been doing!! Been subscribed since the Sword & Shield videos
I have no idea if i missunderstod shiny sandwiches, but every time a make a shiny sandwich it spawns every other pokemon other that the pokemon I'm trying to issolate encounter. Can someone please help?
Theres actually an area with isolated steenee, it's right next to artazon, if you have a level 3 grass encounter in that area, only steenee will spawn, it helps because steenee is a common so it's also easier to spawn outbreaks
I did a similar version of this method but with ultra ham sandwiches (I have no salty herbas 😢) and I got a Marill in 15 minutes and a kirlia in 1.25 hours. It’s slower but it still worked great. Austin is always the plug!
Glimmet is also EXTREMELY easy to get. The shiny is a dark blue and might be hard to notice, but if you find a mass outbreak of glimmet's in a cave system like dalizapa passage, it will be EXTREMELY easy to get a shiny version, especially with a sandwich buff. Edit: This is because that the glimmet "duplicate" in a mass outbreak, so if you see glimmet's printing themselves then just stay there. You'll eventually find a shiny pretty easily.
As a Violet player, I’ve noticed that in my game, Iron Hands and Iron Bundle don’t try to attack me at all for some reason (originally they did). They’ll float right up to me, and then just stop and stand there
I kind of stumbled onto this "sandwich -> isolated encounters" and "keep moving to keep despawning" method myself while going after, unsurprisingly, Larvesta - much faster than just entering/exiting picnic mode on repeat. Accidentally realising that an area only has one or two spawns of a given type, easily tuned with sandwich powers, makes shiny hunting *so* much more effective.
Lmao!!! I love how you explained squawkabilly and how you miss pronounce and inserted you shaking your head when you say it again. Now gonna lie made me belly laugh hahaha😂
I audibly laughed when preparing for a Kilowattrel hunt and as soon as I left the picnic the first grouping had a shiny in it. Literally 2 seconds to find the shiny. Austin John you are the greatest! Thank you so much!
For what it's worth, I love your vids and am in a few pokemon groups. And when people ask who's good to look at for accurate info on pokemon. Damn near everyone says you... So I feel you should know, cause I really appreciate the straight forward info vids that are focesd more on being informational then just Trendy content with a catchy thumbnail like alotta people do. And obviously I'm not the only one that realizes this if so many people suggest you over the thousands of other pokemon you tubers. So thanks for all you do.
Also if you use a rock sand which instead where he does the tinkatuff hunt it’s a great spot for Lycanroc isolated encounter. Got three shinies within 12 minutes
I found the area around Zapapico better for Fidough and Dachsbun personally, but here's another suggestion! If you really want Nacli or Garnacl, go to the eastern part of the Glaseado Mountain (near the watchtower) and get the Rock sandwich in (also you could get a Chewtle or Drednaw as a bonus)
You can find a lot dedenne and jolteon around Medali. Dedenne is around Medali and Jolteon is directly left on the upper path when you leave the village to the east. (the path that leads to the river near the ice region).
Ok Austin very serious question here, let’s say I use the Masuda method with a certain Pokémon type and then made sandwich with sparkling lvl 3 of that type while hatching eggs. Will that increase my chance even further of hatching that pokemon shiny?
As I casually went the through the story line I found skiddo, mareep, hawlucha, heracross without actually hunting them. Thanks to your research and insights hunting be made so much easier!
The best spot for Shiny Eevee is to force an outbreak west of Medali, there aren't many spawns and you have around a 3% chance to spawn an outbreak per clock set.
oh in case you dont know for ur rockruff ): the day and night form can be the evolution of any rockruff except one with Own Tempo a rockruff with Own Tempo can Only evolve into the afternoon form. it is not a hidden ability so it cannot be changed from or into Own Tempo. think of it like own tempo rockruffs being their own species, so rip if that shiny rockruff doesnt have own tempo ):
My daughter's favorite Pokemon is Amphoros, so I took your advice and hunted for Mareep. 1:17 later I got one! Fastest hunt ever! Then I went and tried Kilowattrel for ten minutes, Magnemite for about ten minutes, both with no luck. Went back to Mareep with 5 minutes left on my timer and got one for myself. So didn't get everything I wanted, but can never complain about two shinies in half an hour!
For the next video, larvitar in scarlet in the cave near the leaning tower in the water is incredibly easy with lvl 3 rock encounter. Tons of spawn and larvitar is a lime green and is impossible to miss.
Oh my God, dude! I had to pause the video, but you just basically helped me with a theory I've been working on! I think, it was the final piece of evidence I needed! Thanks!

Austin has a great Squawkability to make awesome videos with information relative to my current in game goals. Thanks man!
i see what you did there! but thank you
Your joy making these videos honestly makes them that much better past just the informational aspects :']
Sadly, Cute Charm doesn't seem to work in these games :(
Thanks, I was about to hunt kirlia without this
Managed to get a shiny murkrow and meowth within five minutes of each other last week. Got a other shiny murkrow last night. All three were full odds. On another note, you sir, are the real MVP when it comes to these videos. Thank you for the work you put in to these.
Love the isolated encounter method, helped me get really cool shinies like dachsbun and toedscruel
For any wondering, with shiny charm and lvl 3 sammich I got it at about full odds and it took about an hour
Thank you!! I wasn't going to bother looking for it because it can disguise itself, but the auto battle feature would work.
as an addition to this video, if anyone is looking for Eiscue shiny, the easiest way I found is the beach behind where you farm chansey. Just go back and forth on the sand and you should find them pretty quickly.
where is that?
I love how just this past weekend I did a marill/azumarill hunt in the same place you showed in the video. Keep up the good work AJ
It makes me smile every time you accidentally run into a shiny and geek out over it. You're so authentically excited about Pokemon and it shows. 😊
So, we've learned 2 things in this video,
1. Some of the easiest pokemon that we can shiny hunt without drastically changing our odds
Thank you Austin for this! I just got a shiny Larvesta and Marill today from following your guide!
Really appreciate you for making this video! Thanks a ton for all your work
Thank you for this. Sometimes I gaslight myself into thinking the shiny doesn't exist or I'm doing something wrong so seeing these things certainly helps.
OMG I REALLY RELATE
ive been shiny hunting for sprigatito for a few days now and sometimes i just gaslight myself into thinking im doing something wrong haha
@@zoesusername Ugh, the sprigatito hunt. I've hatched 700+ eggs, Masuda method with shiny charm. Still no luck.
@@taranpreetsingh5786 dont give up! youll get it eventually!
@@zoesusername thanks. The worst part is I need 3 😂 going for a shiny living dex
@@taranpreetsingh5786oh but one is enough you just need to evolve it?
One sparkling fairy sandwich with your suggested locations and I got a shiny Kirlia and 3 shiny Marills. Thank you very much, Austin!
Austin: **recording a video**
Shiny Dunsparce: *Take me home and I shall live in your walls for eternity*
You'll have to do a vid of your boxes of shinys once you finishing all the testing and pumping out videos. Thanks for all you do man
I only have like 14 left in the whole game that I need
That's dedication my guy
I just did the hunt for fidough, i think its much easier than first thought to spot Klefki (in the daytime) because of the new textures they have for metal pokemon... the second it spawned in I was able to tell it was shiny.
Love the shiny videos they've helped me so much
This is my first comment here and I have to say that learning your Isolated Encounter Methods from earlier videos has trained me to notice the specific Pokémon of each biome and I’ve YET to have a single isolated encounter fail.
Such an awesome guide! I got a shiny Fidough AND a shiny Dachsbunn to spawn in the same pack following it! So hyped!
Austin John's shiny reaction is the best. No over the top screaming or saying "lets go", just a smile and pure joy.
They’ll float right up to me, and then just stop and stand there
thank you for the info!! I just caught a Shinx, Mareep and Pawmo all in one sandwich😊 would love to see more of these if there are any
I kind of stumbled onto this "sandwich -> isolated encounters" and "keep moving to keep despawning" method myself while going after, unsurprisingly, Larvesta - much faster than just entering/exiting picnic mode on repeat.
This method really is so good! Managed to get all the electric types from the list all from one sandwich. This makes shiny hunting way more fun
When you catch back to back to back Shiny Mareeps.....holy crap. Thanks Austin!
Love the pokecontent, having a blast with violet at the moment
This video was a GAME CHANGER!! I spent 1.5 hours playing and caught 7 shinies!! Your work is much appreciated, thank you so much for this!
HOW
You can find a lot dedenne and jolteon around Medali. Dedenne is around Medali and Jolteon is directly left on the upper path when you leave the village to the east. (the path that leads to the river near the ice region).
I’m so happy, just got a shiny of every paradox Pokémon and used this video to get a few extra shiny Pokémon.
Ok Austin very serious question here, let’s say I use the Masuda method with a certain Pokémon type and then made sandwich with sparkling lvl 3 of that type while hatching eggs. Will that increase my chance even further of hatching that pokemon shiny?
Shiny Dunsparce really love Austin, because this isnt even the first one he found so fast.
I’m super grateful for this video and all videos you’ve made Austin
so glad theres a way to farm shiny dunsparce and tandemaus easily, those 1% evolutions are gonna be the death of me
As I casually went the through the story line I found skiddo, mareep, hawlucha, heracross without actually hunting them. Thanks to your research and insights hunting be made so much easier!
The best spot for Shiny Eevee is to force an outbreak west of Medali, there aren't many spawns and you have around a 3% chance to spawn an outbreak per clock set.
That cut at 15:15 is the funniest and most relatable thing ever
While watching this video I got 2 Shiny Mareeps while only using electric encounter 2 (no shining) at the spot you recommended. A+
oh in case you dont know for ur rockruff ):
the day and night form can be the evolution of any rockruff except one with Own Tempo
a rockruff with Own Tempo can Only evolve into the afternoon form. it is not a hidden ability so it cannot be changed from or into Own Tempo. think of it like own tempo rockruffs being their own species, so rip if that shiny rockruff doesnt have own tempo ):
literally having so much fun shiny hunting right now! These videos are so helpful ….. thank you!!
A video like this for each DLC would be really useful!
I love the fact that Austin dreams of pokemon
Thanks!
