So, bit of a tip for anyone hoping to get a shiny Eevee, don’t reset at the city shown here, reset at the bug gym town. It can also appear there. It still can spawn the outbreak in a bad spot, BUT, it can also spawn north of the olive roll field or in the plots of farmland next to the west Pokémon center, which when they are there, actually are normal outbreaks with large amounts of spawns. I guess they REALLY wanted to make Eevee hunting hard since both of these spots have chances of attempting to spawn them partially or entirely inside towns
@@dreadnox7970 He does go there in the video, but he gets the outbreak and shiny at the normal gym town, the only other place Eevee can be, I probably should have clarified time when I said “at the city shown here” I think it could spawn in either town regardless of where you reset, but either way the bug gym town has a better shot at better outbreaks, in my experience at least (which unfortunately is more experience than I’d like, Eevee hunts, even with a good outbreak, can still take ages and many tries on many outbreaks)

I just wanted to point out that you don't even have to move the day forward to reset the outbreaks. All you have to do is set the timer to 12:00 PM and they'll automatically reshuffle. If you don't like the ones you get, you can immediately go back into settings and if the clock is still at 12:00 PM, all you have to do is click "ok" without even changing any numbers and the outbreaks will reshuffle again. I have a fix for the Cortondo mass outbreak - on the east side of the olive soccer field theres 2 rocks and a small tree and approx. 5 metres to the south of that theres a single tuft of grass. If you stand right next to that tuft and look at the cliff theres a single spawn point that pokemon keep spawning from, and if you've got the eevee mass outbreak they just keep spawning from that single point (got a shiny eevee just sitting on the grass and setting up a picnic to reset). Note - if an eevee spawns asleep you have to go wake it up to move it off the spawn point to get more to spawn. Thought this could make for a cool vid. Love your work mate.
Fun fact, you don't have to change the date to have raids update if you go to the date settings, move your date up one day and then move it back you can change your raids while keeping the date current for the purposes of having caught the Pokemon on the right date.
To further add onto this actually. I found that you don't have to move anything, just keep pressing A on your date and time and even where it says OK, it will reset your Mass outbreaks and Raids without actually having to change anything.
@@KawaiiShiNeko I don't know why that makes me laugh so much. X ) I thought that I had found the minimum effort possible but you have the bigger brain.
@@KawaiiShiNeko to even further add on to this, you don't even need to spam A on the boxes to get it to move to the next selection. You can just use the d-pad or joystick and move all the way to the right and just press okay. Still without changing anything. 😂

The sensation is just so pleasant. Gotta love Shiny findings to the highest amount! Love this entertainment Austin! Love it!
Yeah, I've noticed that the outbreak spawn markers are totally random and can be placed in places like inside of mountains that you can't actually access. All of the rocky area around Area Zero counts as a cave encounter so you can get outbreaks around the mountainous ring, but they don't actually spawn.
I had a noibat out break where all of them spawned in the mountain and when I went to battle one it put my Pokémon in there and I just saw a bunch flying around
@Theboom1 maybe it depends on the species and if you can engage it. I haven't been able to find a single outbreak along the Areo Zero ridge myself, but my sample size is 4, so take that with a grain of salt haha
I've noticed you don't have to keep advancing the days, you can just restart the game, and as long as the time has jumped to the next day you can simply restart the game a load it in and every time you go back into the game it will reroll the outbreaks
Hi Austin John! And anyone who reads. Don't know if you'll see this comment, but in regard to 12:43 bug with the Eevee outbreak, I can confirm that this happens in several different locations for ANY outbreak. I had a sinistea outbreak spawn just on the corner of Alfornada, right where the game despawns/spawns pokemon from transitioning from town name to area province. If an outbreak spawns on any one of these events, the pokemon will NOT spawn! If it is too close to a town or in this case, an event where the player character can interact with NPC's/ in-game events such as the olive run, then the outbreak is basically non-existent. Would save you time and stress to just reroll and hope an outbreak spawns in a nice, open and unpopulated area. Hopefully this is helpful!
Austin John I have a tip for shiny hunting Tandimaus(or other hard to see shiny) . Using a mass outbreak, and the R button go feature. If you KO 60 or 30(for fewer resets) then save and sandwich, you can R button your poke to the rest of the outbreak. It will refuse to KO shiny, so you can then fight it. It took 10 mins per reset from 30 with this method, and odds are about 13% per reset for shiny. Not as good for easy to spot shiny, but way better than Masuda method.
Here's a Tipp for people searching for specific Outbreaks without switching the day *Save inside of Area Zero* For some reason when you're inside Area Zero the game will only Spawn new Outbreaks once you leave. This allows you to select Outbreaks to a very small degree
That eevee spawn is broken. Anyone looking to hunt shunt eevee you can get another spawn lower at the same town that’s not broken. Weird spawners for it though - I recommend just riding around to despawn and respawn the eevee
Hey Austin. I'd love to see a more in depth look at tera raids. Things like what exactly does it actually mean when it says it "removed negative effects" how to build a good set of raid killers, and what moves will always fail against a raidmon (apparently torment and trick always fail no matter what)
@@opalumbre you can press Y on the battle screen and see the stat buffs and debuffs on each mon. When it says "removed negative effects" it does include stats as well. And 6 star raids can even nullify abilities.

I was replying to another comment, but realised this would probably be useful information for a lot of people who don’t already know- but here’s a way to get a WORKING Eevee outbreak. Definitely change the date to reset the outbreaks while you’re standing around Medali *instead* of Cortondo- there’s at least one outbreak location there that can get an Eevee outbreak that’ll actually work normally, while it seems literally all of the Cortondo Eevee outbreak locations are broken. It can take a bit to get the outbreak to appear while near Medali, but it’s super worth it! The working one I found was behind the town, aka the opposite side of Medali to where Austin found his. It’s still quite close to the town, but it’s far enough that you’ll get TONS of Eevees. Just need to have the patience to get the outbreak to appear- it genuinely took me a whole day. But I got a bunch of shiny Eevees from it, even managed to find a female one!
I've found a lot of broken spawners for outbreaks. Usually they're in the middle of two or three different major changes in elevation like that top of a mountain, bottom of the mountain and a tiny little ledge and they either won't spawn at all, or you'll get like one spawn every 10 minutes which is not worth doing. It's pretty annoying actually. I wish the outbreaks would be set in actual proper places instead of being able to show up in such weird places. And the cave ones are always fun because 80% of the time most of the spawns are in the walls of the cave. It's a whole new type of shiny hunting where you have to smash your face against the walls to try and find the hidden pokemon lol.
A big tip, you don't need to change the day, just put 12:59 am or pm, and just press ok, check the map, return and you will still have the same hour, so just press ok again and continue the cycle, I update my mass outbreaks really quicky in this form
You don't need me to say it, but I think we can confirm that encounter power does influence the outbreaks. I got a Froslass outbreak, used an encounter recipe, got my shiny and skipped one day forward becaue I had enough time left and got Misdreavus, Mismagius AND a Mimikyu outbreak (never even knew it could be in an outbreak). This will make shiny hunting (hopefully) so much easier. As always, appreciate your commitment with these videos Austin. Cherish that Eevee =D
4:23 This is exactly why we need sound/visual indication of a shiny spawning! Legends: Arceus had a perfectly fine 'shiny indicator system' and it baffles me why they would change it! I don't want to imagine how many people might have missed out on a shiny because they weren't paying attention, they straight up didn't see it or something like the Igglypuff in the video where the shiny is barely noticeable because the colour is slightly altered. I hope they'll patch in some sort of "shiny indicator" in the future because I would hate to see anyone miss out on a shiny. Story time: I was playing together with a friend yesterday in the same world, we were looking for each other's exclusive Pokemon together, and I got stuck in a battle so I told my friend to go ahead and I'd catch up. After battle, I paused to look at the map and ask my bud where he was and while I was idling in the game a shiny Skiddo spawned relatively close by but because there was no visual or sound indication I didn't notice it at first! So I start heading in the direction my bud is, which thankfully was in the same direction as the shiny Skiddo, and I drive right past it only to do a "wait a minute..." then turn around and take a ~3 second look at the Skiddo before finally realizing it was shiny! tdlr; almost missed out on a shiny because there was no visual indication!
I did the Eevee hunt too, took me 6 hours to get an Eeevee outbreak. I got the one at Medali and it was in the exact same place as you. Their spawn rate is just awful. I got 3 shiny Fidough and a shiny Voltorb, but I did manage to get the 6 Shiny Eevee I was after. I found a Umbreon, Leafeon, and Espeon outbreak while looking for the Eevee outbreak and managed to grab those shiny. I wanted a shiny for every Eevee, plus some extra for my kids. Lol Took me an entire day, but I did it! Wish I knew about the sandwhich trick. Probably would have saved me some time, but then again after seeing how long it took you to get another Eevee outbreak, maybe not. Either way, great info and great video Austin John Plays! :)
Didnt have any luck getting a Frigibax outbreak. Five minutes into making a Dragon encounter sandwich and BOOM, I got one. Thank you for making this guide.
12:38 for the eevee you have to move farther away from the court when your next to that town, its kinda funky but if u look around you will find the spot, they spawn far away from it, that why I prefer the spawn behind the court where nothing else will spawn in the way. I have no idea why the outbreak shows it spawns in the town when it doesnt lol.
I told myself before watching this that if Austin encounters another unexpected shiny Pokémon that I would subscribe. Low and behold, the surprise Igglybuff (was also my first shiny encounter).... I'm a man of my word, you've got my sub.
I don't really shiny hunt, it isn't my thing. With a few exceptions I prefer my shinies to be spontaneous. But I am very happy for you and the other Shiny Hunters out there. This seems excellent.
Eevee outbreaks seem crazy rare so I feel like you were lucky to even get one. I stood at the normal town and the bug town, both with normal encounter power lvl 2, and skipped one year in each town and NEVER saw one. Meanwhile I saw the following outbreaks while standing in their spawn locations without encounter power: Flareon, Sylveon, Umbreon, Leafeon and Glaceon. All of these only took a handful of weeks or days. Wild.
My spot for Eevee was plentiful with them but you have to get it at just the right spot around the normal town. I was at the North Pokemon Center and was rerolling near a tree since I saw a normal spawn Eevee there. After like half a year or more rerolling an Outbreak spawned in the corner between town and that cliff to the right of the North Pokemon center. Spawned a LOT of Eevee compared to other places and was easy to respawn by riding into two and then back out. I ended up getting 4 Shiny Eevee before running out of Herba and letting it go.
He had a good chunk of them prior to the release of SV so he only had to get all the new gen mons and a few older gen mons that haven’t been in the past few games so not quite 400 but still a very impressive amount
I was getting worried that Austin's hair was going to turn into the same color as shiny eevee with how stressful and how long it was taking him to find one
I find all this interesting and useful to know sandwiches might have an effect on outbreaks, but I’ve never switched the date on my games, I want my play throughs to be all natural.
This... Explains why I kept seeing Dragalge and Dratini outbreaks when I was using a lv 2 dragon encounter sandwich lol. And Rotom when I had a lv 2 ghost encounter. That's really neat!
i did everything you do in your vids and yet it took me 3 literal days to shiny hunt a dratini. You must be the luckiest dude out there for having so many shinies my dude. Thats why i really enjoy watching your videos
I was trying to reset for an Eevee outbreak for way too long not knowing that sandwiches could help. Eventually I gave up and just started breeding Eevee with masuda method, even though I don't really enjoy breeding. Got my shiny today... now imagine the look on my face when this video came out just a few hours later.
Been looking for an indeedee outbreak for so long now. I did this exact method and stood northeast above bamboo forest and got it within a week. Thank you!
My friend mentioned this to me when I was trying to shiny hunt Tinkatink or Tinkatuff. Egg hunting didn't work, so I tried to roll the days. When he told me that encounter power may change it, he sent me this video. Sure enough Lvl 2 let me see a Gardevoir outbreak which I've never seen before, and eventually Tinkatuff MUCH easier than before. I was able to get one thankfully with the shiny lvl 3 food! Thanks for the video!
your lucky it doesnt work anymore I tried an lvl 2 normal sandwitch in like 20 tries I got 1 normal pokemon at most and onlly 3 times not even 1 2 normal types. I am sure it worked at some point but most likely patched out
When I was hunting for eevee outbreaks (I used this method last week) I got the exact same location. The one eevee you saw was actually the spawn for the outbreak. If you knock out the other pokemon in the area the eevees will start popping up in that spot (though I never saw more than 4 at a time). By knocking out a handful, I got the warnings about how there are less appearing at the outbreak so that definitely is the right spot. However, you were partially correct still because before I got an eevee outbreak there, I did have one that was actually in the olive ball garden and it didn't spawn any.
Oh well I have grinded for 3 days for my eevee outbreak lmao. I learnes some things tho, if it happens inside the weird bug town place the spawn is a bit far but still basically close to the place, get a distance and see id you can see where there are a bunch of eevee. Also the eevee outbreak has special properties, sometimes one eevee will spawn sitting(I call it the sitvee) and when it spawns other eevees wont spawn so you gotta picnic to restart the spawn! Also its hard to spot so use the zoom feature on your switch for an easier time ^-^ Happy huntings! Edit: Also Eevee's tail is super broken and will disappear if you give it a bif of distance
So, bit of a tip for anyone hoping to get a shiny Eevee, don’t reset at the city shown here, reset at the bug gym town. It can also appear there.
@@APG93 It keeps going omg lol
@@KawaiiShiNeko this is why god made people speak in different tongues lol
When that music plays just before you realise its actually a legit shiny, it just...
-click- Turns on that Instant Satisfaction and Amusement level to Max.
I NEVER tire of it!
I love shiny Eevee. Instant click because of it lol
Same
Same lol
love most of the shiny eeveelution
Lol Same
I think that's most of us
Hi Austin John!
I absolutely love how he plays that little flamenco guitar riff whenever a shiny pops up. It’s the little things
Your commitment and patience does not go unnoticed .. thank you for all you do !! I would’ve called it hours ago and called it a day😂
encounter power really helped when i was trying to do applin outbreaks
Here's a Tipp for people searching for specific Outbreaks without switching the day
*Save inside of Area Zero*
For some reason when you're inside Area Zero the game will only Spawn new Outbreaks once you leave.
This allows you to select Outbreaks to a very small degree
Does this mean we don't need to do the date/time switch? Just come and go from Area Zero?
Austin with the top tier content as always
That eevee spawn is broken. Anyone looking to hunt shunt eevee you can get another spawn lower at the same town that’s not broken. Weird spawners for it though - I recommend just riding around to despawn and respawn the eevee
Once the HOME update drops we need Austin to show off his entire shiny collection.
"I just realized I was muted for this entire recording"
Austin John proving to me why he is my favorite poke news/tips youtubers
Hey Austin. I'd love to see a more in depth look at tera raids. Things like what exactly does it actually mean when it says it "removed negative effects" how to build a good set of raid killers, and what moves will always fail against a raidmon (apparently torment and trick always fail no matter what)
I know it removes status conditions (confusion, sleep, etc.) but it would be nice to know if it included removing negative stat changes
Austin has already done effective raidkiller video
@@ToxricityWithoutTheT oh? I'll have to re-check. Must have missed that one. Thanks!
@@opalumbre you can press Y on the battle screen and see the stat buffs and debuffs on each mon. When it says "removed negative effects" it does include stats as well. And 6 star raids can even nullify abilities.
Man, the Batman joke almost had me covering my monitor with the ice tea I just took a sip of. Had me dying.
Awesome video as always! I have no where else to share this so Imma share it here. I was just roaming around, not doing anything in particular. Had no sandwiches on. I came arcross a random shiny Lyconrock. It's one of my favorite pokemon so I was pretty happy! I saved in front of it just in case. And as I did. A freakin shiny Mudbray ran onto the screen as well. I have pictures. Oh. My. Gosh. I had the charm but no sandwiches on Lmao. Had to share. Awesome moment
I'm happy for you, what crazy luck! 😊
To see Austin all giggly and excited about unexpected Shiny Pokemons puts a smile on my face. Charts be damned! *But are hyper appreciated*
It seems fake to me when he did it. Especially when he walk back again. But I could be wrong
The mechanics in this game are insane and I love it
16:41 thats not a pineco lol, thats a zorua
Can I just say you're by far my favourite pokemon youtuber! So informative and funny! Keep doing what you do, amazing 👏 😁
I felt that "thank you so much for being here, goodbye" in my ancestors' souls.
I can see the pain on your face, really appreciate all the grinding you do for the playerbase. =)
Pokemon is a science I should be able to major in.
I'm finding Eevee outbreaks happen more with encounter power 3, had 2 show up within 20 resets. More testing is needed though
The first eevee outbreak did work on my game, but it spawned close to the cliff to the left of the olive ball court for some reason.
Yes same here, glad to see others are experiencing the same. I think the icon could be getting misplaced I am going to check myself soon
16:37 “Why is Pineco here?”
Plot twist, it was a Zorua all along!
A big tip, you don't need to change the day, just put 12:59 am or pm, and just press ok, check the map, return and you will still have the same hour, so just press ok again and continue the cycle, I update my mass outbreaks really quicky in this form
Mad props to you for trying to find Eevee for the thumbnail! That hunt must've felt like ages!
I love the part when you’re looking for an eevee you take out the igglybuff and an eevee is right behind it while you say where are these eevees 😂😂
16:42 That pineco was a Zorua , look at the items claimed after you killed it LOL
Didnt have any luck getting a Frigibax outbreak. Five minutes into making a Dragon encounter sandwich and BOOM, I got one. Thank you for making this guide.
12:25 Yep yep, Olive gym and a couple others have a retry mode for some prizes, nothing too fancy I think.
You know Austin is about to get a shiny when Gerudo Valley begins playing.
"How did this video start?" .... *looks away* 🤣
I really really enjoy how well the Gerudo theme works for your shiny theme. I love hearing it while i lurk your vids. 🤣
I told myself before watching this that if Austin encounters another unexpected shiny Pokémon that I would subscribe. Low and behold, the surprise Igglybuff (was also my first shiny encounter).... I'm a man of my word, you've got my sub.
"Why is there a Pineco here?"
War flashbacks to my Applin hunting before I realized that every one that spawned not in a tree was actually a Zorua
Dude.... I love these types of videos. I know you're not a big fan of them, but watching you go through some of this stuff is funny. AF
I don't really shiny hunt, it isn't my thing. With a few exceptions I prefer my shinies to be spontaneous. But I am very happy for you and the other Shiny Hunters out there. This seems excellent.
Bro you think you were seeing all these other Pokémon but seeing Pineco ESPECIALLY confirms it for me, those were ALL Ditto, AJ
4:40 thats got to be the most accidental shiny pokemon of all time lmao
Eevee outbreaks seem crazy rare so I feel like you were lucky to even get one. I stood at the normal town and the bug town, both with normal encounter power lvl 2, and skipped one year in each town and NEVER saw one. Meanwhile I saw the following outbreaks while standing in their spawn locations without encounter power: Flareon, Sylveon, Umbreon, Leafeon and Glaceon. All of these only took a handful of weeks or days. Wild.
Sandwiches are literally god in this game : shinies, raid bonuses, mass outbreak, catching bonus, egg power
I love how many funny clips I can get out of Austin John's videos. xD Poor Tandumaus.
It’s crazy how the games been out for almost a month and John already caught like 400 shinies
John not noticing the shiny until running into it, this is why I auto-battle every "slight" shiny species
I find all this interesting and useful to know sandwiches might have an effect on outbreaks, but I’ve never switched the date on my games, I want my play throughs to be all natural.
This makes sense. I was farming a sinistea outbreak, finished and still had my ghost 3 up just to find driftloon and shuppet outbreaks going.
This... Explains why I kept seeing Dragalge and Dratini outbreaks when I was using a lv 2 dragon encounter sandwich lol. And Rotom when I had a lv 2 ghost encounter. That's really neat!
Btw that pincho was a zorua
i did everything you do in your vids and yet it took me 3 literal days to shiny hunt a dratini. You must be the luckiest dude out there for having so many shinies my dude. Thats why i really enjoy watching your videos
I KNEW IT!! Dude I had this same theory and knew you’d come through with the info. I was focused on an isolated Riolu hunt so I didn’t want to test.
Same i only did 1 reset to find a mankey outbreak
When he said treat that Pokémon like Batman parents I die 😂
This came at a great time, I'm almost done with shiny hunting everything new for my livedex, running into difficulties spawning outbreaks
LMAO the batman's parents comment killed me
I was trying to reset for an Eevee outbreak for way too long not knowing that sandwiches could help. Eventually I gave up and just started breeding Eevee with masuda method, even though I don't really enjoy breeding. Got my shiny today... now imagine the look on my face when this video came out just a few hours later.
If you save right before time changes over you can just reset to that save to reroll outbreaks as well
That could possibly save your thumbs
Been looking for an indeedee outbreak for so long now. I did this exact method and stood northeast above bamboo forest and got it within a week. Thank you!
I love the joy in your voice and your face when you get an unexpected shiny is so great love seeing it thank you for all your help
