Definitely. They go from near 100k to a third of the value within 5 years because the target audience which is chauffeurs want the latest model and thus incredible savings for the likes of us!
While I would agree that the initial purchase is a bargain, the maintenance cost are not… I’ve seen a few people falling for the low price only to be forced to drop the car a few years later due to expensive repairs…
I actually couldn't believe it's 2016 model here in South Africa bro! Its has dropped massively (even though still out of my price range 😂) But I was genuinely shocked
Congrats on 1k subs Mizan, soon to be 1 million 😉. Always found the 7 series interesting myself and your spot on saying it’s a couple of generations ahead from the current G20 3 series.
When my pops bought his Ghost, I always saw more of an appeal in one of these with a higher spec’d engine. The modern technology that these come with and the value for money on these just made more sense to me. But at the same time I understand why my more traditional pops would appreciate the RR more. Its a much more analogue car. To me the tech might be outdated but for him its simple and easy to use. In terms of driving experience its a no brainer the gearbox and suspension mapping and that V12 combines to create an exclusive experience you wont find anywhere else. I guess at the end of the day for the RR you pay for exclusivity but for someone looking for a luxurious package in general, then the 7 series is a very very good contender. This was a very spot on review well done 👏
I've driven a Rolls Royce and I can tell you, that's nothing quite like it. Yes it's made my BMW so the 7 Series should not be that different but that's like saying there's no point of a Huracan and everyone should just get an R8 although the difference when the RR and 7 are still massive even if compared to the M760i. If I could afford it, then it's a no brainer. The Rolls is the only choice but for those spending money buying a 30k SUV, why on earth would you overlook these?

The 7 seat option is a bit of a gimmick. Firstly, it's an option. It's not a given in any SUV apart from the X7 and GLS I believe and when the seats are up you lose the luggage space. You can buy a BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer which has the same amount of interior space but it's just not a 4x4. What you're paying for is the height. Nothing else. An actual 7 seater is a minivan with doors that slide not foldable seats in the boot in my opinion. They're emergency seats more than ones you require for the family
With all those electric gubbins such as massage seats and whatnot, I'm not surprised they're non folding and it's not really designed to haul large items that require seat folding
@@CarNitty I’ve owned the g11 and and currently own the face lift and on city roads you do feel the bumps and potholes waiting for the new 7 series to be delivered overall too much of a car for the money

Definitely the 730d, that's why I bought one, beautiful, economical and, sporty, class and comfort, packed with features, stunning car
Best thing about these exec flagships is the massive depreciation, always a great second hand buy!

The same applies to any vehicle of a class. Buying a Range Rover or a an Audi Q7 yields the same results due to expensive parts and labour rates

Had both. 730d lovely drive, better mpg and super comfortable
Ultimate bang for buck!

Thanks Ben, appreciate your support over the past year!
Absolutely, buying a 7 Series is like buying a car that's 10 years newer than it is

@@CarNitty 1000% especially considering the premium people are paying for these SUVs, that too they are low specs as well

Great video of a beautiful car
Mega bang for buck!
Nice to see you coded in the Alpina dials 👍 I have them in mines too.

Glad you liked it and I was able to help with your buying decision!

3:20 why is there a G30 5series in the surround view camera of this G11 7er?
Yes I realised that at the time of the shoot myself. I think he's played around with coding the car and it's now like this

Much better looking than new 7 series
Absolutely. The newly unveiled one doesn't look good at all based on the spy shots... Very sad time for BMW fans
Fantastic, informative video as always 👏
Thank you for your kind comment and continuous support. Glad you enjoyed the video!
How mutch stars does he have?
I believe he has 600 or so and he has the twinkle feature as well
Great video, do a review on an X6 (2018)
If I'm able to get my hands on one, I'd definitely take up the opportunity!
I’m new and idk if you’ve done a LD review of this car but if you haven’t it would be nice to see
Hi there, I've not gotten my hands on the long wheelbase version just yet. Although this wasn't the LWB, it had all the tech minus the extra legroom
@@CarNitty sweet great content you gained a new sub looking forward to new videos
Thank you for your kind comment. Glad you liked the video and do check out some older uploads in the meantime!
is engine noise than s350d?
It should be similar as they're both 6 cylinder engines but an inline 6 may be more refined than the V6 in the Mercedes
Did anyone else partly fall asleep just from watching the comfort?
You're watching me get a mobile massage service for a video, aren't you? 🤣
You made some fair points, but it still doesn’t have the practicality of SUV’s, split folding rear seats with the option of carrying 7 people.

no folding rear seats is a no-go for me :(
With all those electric gubbins such as massage seats and whatnot, I'm not surprised they're non folding and it's not really designed to haul large items that require seat folding
@@CarNitty 2017 7 series could be ordered with "regular" rear seats, no electronic gimmicks afaik
But surely someone who buys a 7er wants all the gimmicks since it's designed for the rest occupants
@@CarNitty that is true:))
You will feel the potholes bro
We drove over some nasty stretch of roads and we didn't feel a thing
@@CarNitty I’ve owned the g11 and and currently own the face lift and on city roads you do feel the bumps and potholes waiting for the new 7 series to be delivered overall too much of a car for the money
Fair play, I can't complain from an owner's perspective. I just loved the drive even as a passenger
If you had crashed, you would be very sorry... seatbelts work
In the UK, only the front two occupant's have to wear a seatbelt. At the rear, it's not mandatory
@@CarNitty that’s completely false. You must wear a seatbelt in any seat where a belt is fitted, with very few exceptions. www.gov.uk/seat-belts-law
I recently found this out when Rishi Sunak was fined for not wearing his belt a few months ago funnily enough!
@@CarNitty BTW I really enjoyed your video and now I’m on the lookout for the same generation 7 but with either a petrol or hybrid engine
Glad you enjoyed the video and good luck with your search! I hope you find an example you'll be happy with
SUV gives you better load carrying capabilities.
Most people own SUVs for the status of driving one. The 7 series covers that and is better built if you ask me
what how the car steals itself
What do you mean?
@@CarNitty meant watch*, thieves are stealing cars by hacking, if someone can hack this car, then they can remotely drive it off someones drive
That's with any car with a high amount of tech no doubt!
Da car!? Needs to communicate properly if he wants to progress the channel.
