@DHOLU MOLU UNITED Cool. I remember yrs ago when so people looked down on them. But I still defended them saying that they don't "need" the attention. That's one on the main reasons why I like them soo freakin much. They're very low key. I appreciate this quite a lot. And another reason is that they give a great blend of many things I look for in my car.
The problem for me with the 7 clearly is that you will choose a luxury sedan for maximum comfort and luxury. Being sporty just doesn't seem to fit in there

I'm not a hater I mean my dream for a first car is an E46 but it seams they just lost it at some point. Tbh the new 3 and 5 do look good though. But overall Mercedes is king right now, I'm guessing Audi will overtake them though cause what Mercedes has shown from the new s class so far looks quite akward

That may all be true, but on pure merit, right now, the A8 is the better car. Its upto the public to decide if the badge and pedigree is worth more than comfort and tech. The interior's are both great in their own right and I don't think you can say one is better than the other.
I really got confused between the three choice, So, I bought all three of them. I am very satisfied now.

I wouldn't say it is behind it's just..very bmw. The quality is excellent, everything is logical and easy to use, the iDrive beats pretty much every other entertainment system. But it's not stylish or interesting. My 2018 118i has very similar interior to a 5 or 7 series albeit with less quality and more cheap bits (obviously).
More reason to focus on driving the damn thing, after all, it'a car.

I agree I've been in the A8 many times and it has a very nice interior and you can barely feel bumps while driving on rough roads.

You nailed IT with movie chap. I just drove a A8 2019 with all the options in it and I was blown away. It was a 3.0 L turbo a bit slow responsive but anything else was perfect. I am a LEXUS fan for awhile but in the latest models Lexus just can't compete with Audi A8 and A6/7.

Justice Warrior RR Phantom interior is far better than S Class-Maybach, also drives better, has more presence than a Maybach, is more refined and is much more luxurious. Even an Audi A8 is better than a Maybach. It just doesn´t have the Mercedes logo...

You've never been in an S class then.
That's because the other two models were long wheelbase with backseat luxury options, but they opted for a cheaper version of the BMW equivalent, no long wheelbase, no backseat luxury package.
skbuoy the s class has better looking rear seats than the a8 but I prefer the a8’s dashboard much better. And I do have an a8 planning of upgrading to the new one. Mercedes s class maybach is amazing tho but it’s way more expensive than the normal top model s class.
I love my '10 E350 and i plan upgrading to a '19 or '20 S63 or E63 AMG

Before I talk about the cars, I have to state how good this channel is becoming video after video, true passion for automobiles, not just for the business, Mat is an amazing reviewer with solid skills and pretty good taste and knowledge in cars, been here since you guys had like half a million subscribers, now after you hit one million I hope you get the second million in no time.
As for the vehicles, those are the three giants, like Mat said the differences are quite subtle, for me the Merc S Class will always be on top, the benchmark for luxury, performance, and mechanical beauty.

Defo true. When u have a $100k to spend on a new saloon. You'll pick the merc, if you don't ur just insane. The badge, the history, the perception of luxury just outshines the audi and bmw. Not saying they are bad cars, but if u got a $100k in ur pocket ur getting the s-class. I live in china. For the class below it's a toss up between the audi a6 and bmw 5,but once u got the bucks you get the s-class

S-Class is ahead both, Audi and BMW in terms of styling and interior. Audi, however, is not as behind and are very close (probably drives better than the S class) but BMW has lots of work to do because someone spending that much would not want a car that almost looks like a 3 or 5 series from the inside, drives worse than both its competitors.
Imo they're all pretty close. BMW doesn't really have that much more work to do to catch up, it's just that they used a cheaper model of the 7 series in this video than the equivalent from Audi and Mercedes. It didn't have long wheelbase like the other cars, and no backseat luxury package.

look at the 760 Li or m550i thats a proper bmw, not some entry level 320d, 520i etc, bmw is worth owning only when it has a lot of power
But a 760li again a AMG S600 and hate to break it to you that BMW will leave it's ass in the past . Just look it up

The only problem with the Audi A8 is the design, it doesn't look bold & sleek as the S Class.

But the 7 series has the most tech. It also has the best back seat the s class has all the options in the back vs the 7 series which is base.

My opinion is really good video and I respect the decision, I’m happy with the decision. My only complaint is that the A8L and Mercedes-Benz were long wheel based while the BMW was standard sized and no where near as loaded as the Audi or Benz... I believe the benz was probably fully optioned as far as the diesel version of it can go and the Au was highly specked too but the BMW was ...entry level? But I still totally agree w the decision maybe I’m just ranting (again I like your videos) anyone agree w me?

the audi is way to cold and clinical, not luxury enough. the BMW is good, but I dont know.. It seems like a big 5 series and the S class just seems like an S class.

Just like you will always love your Mercedes, because of a good experience with it early on, I will always love my BMWs. Only my love is based on the fact that BMW is more driver focused generally in all models. Having driven the new 7 series, I must say Matt is right, sadly, the 7 series has become a little too soft. But considering that most people buying these sort of cars are only after comfort, it makes sense.... True BMW fans care about the smile that only a BMW can put on your face when going fast through corners.

PSUC3 yeah bmw has rolls🤔 but this is over bmw not what bmw has! I can do the same: mercedes has smart and maybach. And mercedes has pickups,all sizes vans, trucks, busses and it even had tractors😱😱😂 and bmw? Rolls and mini normal cars as mercedes and a lot of ideas stolen!
Driving my A7 with exactly the same interior you get very used to the touchscreens and rest your hand on the ‘shelf’ above it to press the buttons so you don’t take your eyes off the road very much. I had A6 prior with rotary wheel. Prefer touch screen. Voice activation and hand writing option, both garbage.

Miloš no they haven't. To this day modern Mercedes are used in many industries. For example in the taxi industry e class and s class are used, for the military g wagons are used, for cargo springers and metric are used, for the truck industry actros are used.... Etc etc... So Mercedes have to be reliable and durable else these industries and companies would never use them. Not to mention that these mercedes easily have millions of miles of them. Moreover you see way more old mercedes driving on the road than you do old Lexus. That's a testament to the durability of mercedes.
+Eventus Vantos haha one word Volvo :) Mercedes from 90's were tanks, just look how thick the sheet metal was on their bodies compared to now, and also notice how modern mercedes brakes on regular bases and parts are not cheep in contrast to 90's and 80's Mercedes you only had to do regular oil and filter change to achieve 2.8 million miles which is a record for 240D w123.
No point in arguing, modern Mercedes is built to last till the warranty is out, when it expires you can only sell it or face your bankruptcy :D and that is true for any modern car except for Japanese Toyota, Lexus and Honda is pretty solid.
When Mercedes make full electric car i'd consider it, because Mercedes interior and comfort is better than on the BMW or Audi.
What bullshit. Modern Mercedes’ are better in every way over their older counterparts. Faster, more efficient, more comfortable, quieter, MORE RELIABLE and WAY MORE DURABLE.
Older Mercedes’ cars had their issues and required maintenance like any other car - and that maintenance was expensive. Older Mercedes’ rusted, their parts wore out pretty quickly and they required basic care - like any other car of that era.
Toyota (Lexus) and Honda are overrated brands which have issues like any other car.
durability = none of them. You have to be stupid to think that modern MB cars are as durable as they were say 20 years ago. The same goes for the other two.
BMW for me, you can feel lofty and floaty like piloting a ship or sporty and in place also the looks 🤤🤤
Love your conclusion as an Audi fan. Also, the face, the shape of A8 is just so stylish, cool and beautiful. but hate that all touch screen.
