I certainly hope that they will get approval for their trans-Pacific routes. It always nice to see a new airline start up. The cabin crew can definitely make or break a flight. Kudos to their team for impressing you with their friendly service. Have a great weekend.
If I were in charge of granting approval I would not approve this airline for transoceanic routes. Not with 28 year old aircraft that apparently are prone to technical issues. I wouldn't trust that a small start-up airline has the resources to properly maintain geriatric aircraft.
This is very interesting! Ontario is my home airport being I live in San Bernardino, C.A., about 60 miles east of Los Angeles. I had no idea that this airline went into service here. I fly to Las Vegas from here all the time, so I will have to give them a try. Normally I fly Southwest Airlines when flying to Vegas, but now I feel I need to give the new guy a chance! Great video! And besides, I love that awesome Boeing 757 jetliner! I don't get the opportunity to fly on those too often because they are usually used for longer distance flights.
Good luck to Northern Pacific Airways. If they're a couple hundred bucks less than other options from the SF Bay Area, I'll certainly give them a try. I go to Asia every 3-4 years (just got back from a trip to Japan and Singapore two months ago,) and used to live in Alaska, so I'd love to be able to fly to Asia through Alaska and stop off for a few days. I do wonder how well they'll be able to compete against Zipair, though.
Always a pleasure to fly a 757 with RR engines--they have a distinct sound vs P&W and GE powerplants--there were some quick scene grabs of Emiliano Padilla of ITrip Report--he commented on Kevin, the bulky 'Airline Videos' cameraman who got in the way of cabin crew members's duties. Wonder how NP managed to obtain Spirit's gates at LAS? Did you JetBlue your way home the same afternoon?
Thanks for watching. It’s nice to see NP reviving the 757. I spotted a total of 3 at ONT. I actually ended up spending the weekend in Vegas and caught a flight back to the East Coast with Spirit.
Hopefully their plans of cheap stopovers from Alaska pan out. Would be super useful as a European interested in flying to Japan. Also, nice find with the Janet!
I really hope they make it. I’m wondering if that is a route they’re going to be flying from Ontario to Vegas, as it would be convenient for me living in the Palm Springs area. By the way, the guy shooting the inaugural for them is my friend Kevin, he’s in several of your clips! Hope you had fun in Vegas!❤✈️
ONT is my local airport. To be honest Ontario Airport reminds me of LGA, which has also been getting better. It really is like the LaGuardia of the West Coast.
Were you on the return flight from LAS to ONT? It was delayed for over two hours, there was a mechanical issue with the plane. I heard thìs flight was for employees and invited media. I've also heard several people tried booking on this airline, and no tickets were available.
Anchorage resident here. Can't wait to have a direct option and not have to go through Seatac or LAX to get to Japan, as I've been doing. NPA will take over the abandoned North Terminal at ANC. It was built in the early '80s to accommodate the growing traffic between Europe and Asia that was landing at ANC to refuel. But with the fall of the USSR and long-range tech, the terminal has been sitting largely empty since 1992.
@nycflyer8384 nice trip report too. I know there was a big aviation channel recording the moment too and some were not too pleased with how they captured the moment, me being one of them. Great job to capture the moment of the inaugural.
@@aviationwithjeff thanks! Yeah, I don’t really want to bash other aviation enthusiasts, but hopefully they are able to put together a good video that inspires lots of people to fly on Northern Pacific.
@@nycflyertravelGood to take the high road here. Either way, I'm definitely open to trying out Northern Pacific once they get their Alaska operations up and running.
Nice to see them airborne finally. However flying from Ontario to Las Vegas isn’t sustainable as a long term business model. I hate to say it but but I don’t see them making it much longer with such old aircraft’s and no IFE systems on trans pacific flights, that’s just a bad business decision. Competition is fierce on those routes and are flown by modern wide body aircraft’s. They’d be better off flying transcon routes that are the most profitable domestically. If they don’t change their route structure soon they will be hemorrhaging cash very quickly. They need a more focused vision as to what kind of airline they wanna be. Wishing them well but only time will tell. Thanks for the review 👍
Their original business model would still work without Russian overflight rights. 757s can still make it to most places in Japan from ANC without the need to fly over Russia. For the extreme south of Japan and Korea, it just needs some used 767-300ERs to fulfill that part. Icelandair had to get 767s too for California back then.
There is not one newest airline in the usa there are 3 more are coming one in Lincoln san bernardino and new haven and they are Breeze, Avelo and Red way
30 year old airplanes. Constant delays. No business plan. No niche market. What sould go wrong? 🙄 Plus they didn’t even bother to check if the name Northern Pacific was available. Now the airline is supposedly called New Pacific.
That lead flight attendant with the unkempt, stringy grey hair could have put more effort into her appearance for the inaugural flight, and, preferably, for every flight. Either tie it back or wear it up. She looked somewhat slovenly. Not a good look.
I certainly hope that they will get approval for their trans-Pacific routes. It always nice to see a new airline start up. The cabin crew can definitely make or break a flight. Kudos to their team for impressing you with their friendly service. Have a great weekend.
Thanks! I hope they can launch flights to Asia soon too.

@@nycflyertravelthey caged the name to new pacific airlines
Nice 757 beautiful livery...👍🏴
Great to see the older planes still flying strong! Go Northern Pacific!
👍🏻
New Pacific now.
The livery and name is straight outta MSFS 😄
Seats look nice
It’s great to see another airline starting up. We’ll get more options! Good luck Northern Pacific Airways!

@@nycflyertravel Same here! Do you know what their official webite is so I can look them up?
Always good to see more competition in the skies. Hope they can build out their network quickly.
I really hope they make it
If they fly to and from Boston I'll definitely consider them.
I love the 757-200
I will be sad once they will retire them
Great video ❤
Thank you
I wish Northern Pacific airlines the best of luck and I hope they can grow into a great airline
Me too! Thanks for watching
Missed opportunity for the inaugural flight to be called 757
Such an interesting business they are trying to run... I hope they are successful!
Would be nice if they do Honolulu. That could get great demand and would be perfect for their 757’s!
I’d take that flight!
@@nycflyertravel I would love it as well :)

I was wondering the same thing
Really good video mate, thank you for bringing us along
Thanks for watching!
First review on UA-cam! And a great one at that 🥳
Glad to see them finally in the air! Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching
Always nice to have more options for airlines and flights. Although I might fly through Alaska during the summer I won’t do it during the winter.
I imagine the plane I saw at klax this week was being used for charter service.
I could see Kevin of @AIRLINEVIDEOS hehehe
Lol the Flight Attendant almost said raven crew lol
Cool seats. Need more competition in the low cost segment
I’m not sure whether they’ll make it or not but I would love to try them out.
that was cool ...thank you
Thanks for watching

I was really happy to see that Janet plane!
If your a European why dont you just fly Norwegian to Japan if you want cheap fares
Never heard of airline - will have to check them out. Somehow it seems easier to drive from Ontario to Las Vegas than fly
Well you took a gamble in booking that ticket, I don't think I've seen an airline with that many cancelled inaugural flights.
I was pretty afraid it was going to get canceled.
Hey come on up to Toronto we got Air Canada Rouge and West Jet doing Vegas 5 times a day we need something different
I caught you depart!
Awesome!

Southwest has 2 flights per day from Palm Springs to Vegas

Have you seen the new LGA terminals?
@@nycflyertravel yeah. They’re pretty sick.
I have been watching this airline unfold. Raven Airlines is a lifeline flying all sorts of people to their appointments in Alaska
Super expensive,,,
PS great review..I would fly them to S Korea 👍

Hope they orders new aircraft soon. A321XLR or even 787-9 Dreamliner. 😊
Yeah, they're the launch customer for the 797!!!
@@gavinsingh4450 when they will orders new 797? How, when or what?
Is that a twenty min flight?
Tyler Mac here I’m going too the flight
Looked like a cool non-mainstream airline, unfortunately they are charter only for now, planned to go back to commercial.
They should fly nonstop Asia to Las Vegas which would have more passengers. But ANC might work also. I wish them good luck.
Right now Las Vegas to Seoul is the only nonstop to Asia. It would be nice to have more.
I'm biased because I lived there, but if they ever did start a flight to Saipan, CNMI or Guam, I would totally take it.
Yeah, I would absolutely love to go to Saipan.

You caught the Area 51 Employee shuttle in your video!

The rare 737-600 in JANET’s Western Airlines (WA) inspired livery!
Just imagine an airline connect Alaska with eastern Russia 😍
Actually, Alaska Airlines flew to Eastern Russia from Anchorage in the 90s.
Just imagine Putin pulls out of Ukraine…
The 757-200 in this video is line number 666. Just a little bit of info. It is also 28.5 years old.
I hear they will be flying from Anchorage to JFK directly.
Hopefully 🤞🏻
Good luck.
I still think there business plan is dodgy but do love the paint job on the 757

It’s a placeholder route to keep their pilots working and qualified. More service has been announced to Reno and Nashville.

The CEO, Rob McKinney, is a very knowledgeable and experienced airline CEO, so I am betting that they will make it. They have deep pockets as well.

...definitely an older plane!
